After brining these things to the attention of the owner, he is disinterested in rectifying any of these issues. i don't have any complaints about the dental work but the dentist has a poor 'chair side manner' and never comes around the dental chair to speak to you face to face. I've never seen his face. He only speaks from behind and I can honestly say if I saw him on the street, I wouldn't recognize him.

I told Dr. Scharf it's very important for me to have enough time to study for all of the classes and pass all of the tests and quizzes... because I intended to go to a college out of state. He asked me if I wanted a job at his office later. I told him.... I might want to be his accountant. He said... you're taking Mathematics in college. I told him... I intended to become a high school Mathematics teacher after I get a certificate in teaching. I asked for his recommendations on which college one of my former guardians son should go to. Dr. Scharf didn't hesitate. He suggested Washington State University. I suggested that college to that guardian. He said... they would ask the son. There weren't any dentists on the Peninsula who had Saturday appointments way back then.

After I got a new job, I learned my insurance should cover his services. Unfortunately, due to his delay in billing, I ended up paying almost triple what I would have paid in cash because I still had to meet my deductible. Later, it turned out he actually owed me a refund. When my insurance agent tried to help resolve the issue, he was rude to her and refused to cooperate. Then, instead of communicating with me about my refund, he blocked my phone number entirely. That level of unprofessionalism was shocking and really changed my opinion of his practice. While he's good at what he does clinically, the way he treats patients and handles business matters is completely unacceptable. I hope he learns to communicate with more respect and integrity.

A communication from the most unprofessional and ridiculous "business" I've ever encountered on this island.

Dr. Rob spent 20 minutes with me and I was able to do a full squat for the first time in close to a year. Since then I have gone back for a number of issues with excellent results. My wife has also had great results from Dr. Erin. Not to mention a family-owned, husband-and-wife business and great people. Hard to go wrong at this place.
