Paula, in her Minden office, is one of the meanest people I've ever met. The first time I did a…read moremortgage with Carol, Paula was a bully, rude and angry at me for no reason at all. A year later, I needed to do another mortgage and foolishly went back because I enjoyed dealing with Carol. I knew Paula was difficult but decided to give her the benefit of the doubt. Paula fought with my insurance company and refused to give them what they asked for without my knowledge or permission. Paula took so long finalizing my deal that she cost me thousands in extra fees. I was also not advised properly by Carol the first time and missed a deadline that also cost me thousands of dollars. The last interaction, I had an appointment, set by Paula, to finalize my mortgage. Not only was the paperwork not ready when I arrived to meet with Carol, but Paula got angry at me for asking to speak with Carol instead of her, which was my understanding of the meeting, and threw me out of their office and told me never to return. Paula told me that I was not allowed to speak with Carol. Brtitany, the other assistant finally made me another appointment with Carol the following week. Days later, I called Carol to confirm that I would be meeting with her. The shocking part of it was that Carol believed Paula, even though she could hear the whole thing through her office door, even though I was crying in the parking lot when Brittany came out to help me, even though Paula has had repeated complaints against her. This was sadly very telling about the person that Carol is. She would rather keep an angry bully on her payroll than do the work of looking for someone without serious anger issues. It's clear, even behind her mask, that Brittany is terrified of Paula and will do anything to make sure Paula doesn't aim her anger at her. In the end, I asked my broker to pick up my legal documents because I was too scared to go back and take that final meeting with Carol. Why would I go back to a place where an assistant was screaming at me to get out and never come back for no reason at all? Why would I do that to myself? I have no interest in that so I asked for help to get my final documents. If you need a mortgage, I would encourage you not to go Carol's Minden office and if you don't believe me, ask folks in the surrounding area. Once I did that and received the same information that I'm writing here, I decided to leave a review because bullies are just not acceptable and we have to call them out when they terrorize other people.
