Thought I'd give a recent review…read more I'm a guy who's dealt with chronic pain during the past 15 years of active duty service. As you can imagine from moving every two to three years, I'm forced to start from scratch at a new pain management clinic all the time and let me tell you, it's a hassle. That wasn't case when I first visited this office. Dr. Shadid and his staff were great. I never felt rushed during our conversations and more so, I never felt judged. Yeah, a lot of pain management and regular providers tend to quickly assume their patents have the worst of intentions. I get it. A lot of people visit these clinics for the wrong reasons. I am, however, not one of them. I've had a couple of procedures so far and I'll continue to see him for future procedures. The injections and blocks have been fairly pain and stress free. That's the key. Not only less pain when trying to actually treat pain, but little to no stress. When you're getting an injection or having any procedure for pain management that causes you more pain during the process, your stress levels increase exponentially. Again, I don't dread visiting Dr. Shadid and his team because it's a very pleasant experience. The office building seems out of place and at first glance and the facade has you questioning if you want to step inside the building. Worry not. It is a clean, professional, and relaxing environment. Don't get scared off when you're looking at the front of the building. The front receptionists are great and pleasant, the RNs/techs are proficient, and Dr. Shadid is well-versed. The only reason I didn't give it a complete 5-star is the fact that the facade looks a bit sketch and they the website could use a serious upgrade - it doesn't represent their professionalism. However, that's minutia compared to the service you get.

I'm a pretty picky…read moreconsumer, so I leave reviews only when VERY well deserved-in my opinion of course :) I have been to MANY body workers and he is exceptional - like an engineer trying to figure out the root cause. Not only are his his hands work amazing, but also the other modalities he has to offer including the use of a massage gun. I appreciate that Boghi has made massage gun videos that are accessible, easy to understand, educational and mostly provides pain relief. Due to chronic illness, my body has some type of constant pain and going to get body work all the time can add up so having these videos gives me the ability to help myself in between times if needed. I have a strong massage gun that I would always try and pound out the pain, but more often than not the pain would return by the next day. The techniques that Boghi provides is gentler and helps teach some of my muscles to respond differently such that I get longer periods of pain relief. I haven't been able change some habits ie walking that create the pain/tightness because of nerve damage , so this kind of relief management has been very helpful. In addition, there is potential that the longer periods of relief may start to shift some patterns my body is stuck in. I'm also grateful he's available for phone /video consults should I have questions and/or need assistance modifying according to my body.

He replied quick and was able to see me the next day. Within the 1hour visit as a complete stranger, he was able to cover so much and targeted several pain points I was not expecting. It's rare to get instant relief, but I was barely walking well going in, and was significantly better after. It was incredible to experience how efficient his support was in such a short amount of time. I highly recommend his services for body work.

I'm 99.99% sure Dr. Hancock is an angel or miracle worker or something. I was in physical therapy for almost a year and had basically given up hope that my neck/shoulder/arm pain would ever be fixed. I thought I would just have to live in pain for the rest of my life, which sucks. I mean, I'm 24. Dr. Hancock is such an easy-going, friendly doctor. She really takes the time to address all of your concerns, which I greatly appreciate. I am terrified of needles. Like seriously, people, TERRIFIED. I don't like it when people shove foreign objects into me and inject me with ouchy medicine! -.- I had had trigger point injections before seeing her from a different doctor, and they caused more pain than they helped. After discussing (at great length) several treatment options for my pain, I finally decided to allow her to give me some injections. There's just something about her that makes you trust her - something in her personality....something. I don't know how to explain it. Every time I see her, I joke, "You don't know how lucky you are that I'm letting you give me shots." Because it's really *that* big of a deal to me. One of the best things about her office? You don't need a referral. She's a pain management doctor....and you don't need a referral. Wwwhhhaaaattttt. I am truthfully eternally grateful for Dr. Hancock. I'm living a pain-free life right now, which is more than I ever thought possible three months ago. If you are in pain, Dr. Hancock's office is the place to go. I was the first person…read moreto try their telemedicine so I didn't have to drive all the way to the city...but I've been riding up to the city here lately anyway. There's an elevator right to the left of the entrance doors that will take you straight to the waiting room. Today when I arrived there was a nice lady behind a desk right inside the entrance to take my temperature and she told us that only patients can enter..mom had to go back out to the car. There's plenty of seats in the lobby but I've never seen them full..it's about a 5 min. wait before the nurse calls you back to the clinic room to take your vitals, then I had about a 15 min. wait for Dr. Johnson to come in. She showed me x-rays of my knees and back that are filled with arthritis. She wants me to do needle sticks in my back and knees to kill the nerves but they're not doing any surgeries right now so I'll have to wait. She also prescribed me a pain gel that I'm heading to get now. She's such a nice, caring doctor and always has a smile making sure I understand everything that's going on. I highly recommend this place!

When the office called to confirm the appointment they asked if I had received the paperwork in the mail and I let them know I had not. They said that is okay to come in 15 minutes early and fill it out. Waited in line for 20 minutes only to not be seen because the paperwork was not filled out. How can I fill out paperwork when no one gives it to me? It should be the people in the front office's responsibility at the Vernon facility to see if anyone needs paperwork.....not my responsibility to go track it down. Then my daughter called to find out where the miscommunication had been. The individual who answered the phone was not very sympathetic stating their offices are always extremely full and if the paperwork cannot get filled out in 10 minutes they do not have a choice. When asked if they can email the paperwork she said "Yes, if asked." She was given a little tip on customer service and said she could always ask if the client would like it mailed or emailed in which she stated that most of their clients do not have email and sarcastically said Thank You. Not sure who she thought she was; however, I am sure she will be put in her place at some point in her life for such a snotty attitude. Elderly people deserve better treatment and should be shown respect. Maybe it should start with the office!
