I would say to avoid this incompetent business at all cost! Took money, workers showed for about an hour, left with no notice, old fence partially disassembled, never returned, no one returns calls! estimator was out looked at the job, quoted price. Now crybaby installers say there's too much brush! Funny thing is they took apart the fence where there was nothing but fence, and let it in a pile on the ground! Lazy and incompetent! read more

We had a new vinyl fence built this past September in our back yard surrounding our new above ground pool. Jose and his crew did a wonderful job in the hot sun! Also, we had two 5' gates and two 4' door gates installed as well. They had to make adjustments to the gates to line up with the fence because the ground wasn't even. They did a wonderful job! I had used these guys 3 times. The first two times they were excellent and that was at least 12 years ago. However, back in February when we had high winds a good portion of my stockade fence was knocked over. I had made an insurance claim the first time ever. They came out and gave me an estimate and set up a schedule. Things were going great. The crew that came out looked like something from Deliverance. Shoddy work. 90% of the fence planks do no touch the ground, 50% by as much as 4 inches or more. They send professionals out to do the estimate, but inbreds out to do the work. When I complained the president, Jeff Tyson, said they could cut the bottoms off of the planks so they all lined up which would have resulted in the entire fence having a gap from the bottom of the planks to the ground of 5". We had a four foot picket fence installed on a very hilly property. The installers did a wonderful job and were very professional. After sending an email regarding two very minor issues, these were corrected the next day. If they could install a fence on our hilly property they can do a great job anywhere. Our first encounter with Tyson Fence was great. They answered/returned calls and emails promptly and gave us all of the details we asked for in a timely manner. However, Upon receiving an estimate and making the final choice to use Tyson Fence for install, they were impossible to get ahold of. We called several times throughout the day (21 times to be exact) but only were able to reach them by actually going to their office and talking to someone. Which is an hour away from us. That is the ONLY reason I gave 4 stars. Luis and his crew of installers were great, prompt, professional, fun, courteous, and hard-working! It was 93° and extremely humid during the install and they didn't stop until the job was done. I can't say enough great things about the crew that was here to do the work. The fence is beautiful and better than what we could have imagined! We are extremely happy we chose Tyson Fence even though the lack of commutation in the beginning was a bit frustrating. We would definitely go with this company again and recommend using them to our friends & family! read more

We were in need of a Gate post repair on our PVC fence. I sent an Inquiry to Tyson Fence asking if they could reset the gate post, which had heaved up about 10". I sent some pictures to show what had happened. We were surprised when Bill emailed us back for our Address. After he received that, a followup email said that they would repair the gate post free of charge. They came out the next day and set the post and now the gate latches and swings correctly. We can thank Bill and Tyson for doing this repair. If you need a fence or a repair don't hesitate to call on Tyson fence. We can't thank them enough. No one else responded to my requests. Did great work when they installed our aluminum fence 7+ years ago but FAILED when I called them (twice) to come out and provide me an estimate to fix a leaning post and realign my double drive gate. I could have dealt with an honest answer of "we're too busy" or "not a big enough project" but to not even bother to respond to my inquiry as to why I had not heard back? Weak. read more

At this point I am only giving a 2 star. Time will tell if this drops to a one or goes up. I have called the number and followed all of the prompts. I have left messages looking to get a quote. I had NO RESPONSE from my first attempt two weeks ago. I have reached out to other companies in the area and have had prompt responses. I called Home Depot ( not knowing they contract Tyson) a Tyson rep called me a couple hours later, but could not work out a Saturday appraisal. I told them I would call with details after another company gave theirs. I call Tyson Fence again this morning and waited all day to hear back. NO RESPONSE. Hello everyone I know its hard to find a good fence company out there but this is one you definitely do not want to deal with. I got a few gates from them that were absolutely horrid looking there were gobs of black vinyl on them and they told me there was nothing that could be done about it the installers were very rude and disrespectful 2 weeks late on time of instal and worst of all is there idea of a straight line must come from a drunkard there were parts of my fence that went 4 inches into my neighbors property had to call another company (all pro fence and rail) and it was fixed in 6 hours and alot better of a result with other company so please dont make the same mistake i did by calling tyson to install a fence for you it might cost you so much more in the long run!!! read more

As no one is ever perfect... my only "concern/compliant" is that the day they came to install the fence - the gates were not ready. This appointment w/deposit was made 5 weeks in advance - so it was disappointing. However, the gentleman that did the work - above and beyond professional and came back the next morning (in the rain) to install the gates. Both Bill and Jim treated me with nothing by kindness and respect, and were willing to make adjustments to the plans without hesitation and without changing the quote. As a single income household - that part was truly appreciated. I have 3 dogs, and this fence now gives me peace of mind they will be safe from the traffic in my area. I purchased a fence from Tyson in August of 2014. I was having difficulty with the gate closing and with gaping under the fence and I contacted them not once, not twice but three times, two emails to Jim Tyson and one phone call to the office and each time I explained what the issue was. No one responded or even acknowledged receipt of my communications. Possibly if I had withheld my final payment until Tyson had the same men who trampled my shrubs during installation had replace them that I would have had a response. I like the fence. The unresolved issues remain. Customer service is not good. read more

Tyson Fence has zero customer service skills and very sketchy business practices. They no showed on the first scheduled estimate and personally offended my views on the rescheduled estimate. They submitted the proposal to me 3-4 times before I received one that wasn't blank. Once they have the down payment you are essentially on their watch and at their mercy. I had to call them to schedule the installation and found that I was not even on their radar even though I was told they would call me. The install crew showed up not before 10:00 am and was finished working by 3:00 pm each day. In fact, one day I was told they had to leave my job to fix issues at another job, which must have been more important than me. The job took almost twice as long as I was originally told. The install crew left trash and metal pieces laying throughout my yard and left tags hanging all over the fence. I will NEVER use this company again and I encourage others looking for a fence installation company to look elsewhere. As an FYI - I have never submitted a negative complaint about any business in all my life. The fact that I am doing so for this company should indicate how poorly they treated me as a customer. read more
