So glad I found T'zikin, I have been following them around since they were at Johnson's Farmers Market in Olney and now at Kentlands. This is truly my new favorite coffee spot. The lattes are perfectly made, and they use such high-quality ingredients--sourced directly from El Salvador. Allan is so kind and cheerful, and you can tell he is passionate about what he does. It's a real treat to get such an amazing, fresh cup of coffee from a local business. Can't wait to run into them on Saturday mornings! But until then, I buy bags of their coffee beans so I can have some daily.

The ambience is nice. It feels like you're at a small family own business, but the service is excellent top-notch.

I ordered three chicken and cheese pupusas, and they were a great size. I was nearly full after the first two. The flavor was on point. My apologies for my photo because I was already halfway through my third pupusa before I remembered to snap a picture. I also tried the corn tamale, which my wife and I enjoyed a lot. On top of that, I ordered a steak taco, which unfortunately didn't make it into a picture either because I ate it too fast. What stood out to me was the "shell." Instead of the usual flour or corn tortilla, it uses the same masa dough as the pupusa, and I really enjoyed that difference. We finished our meal with the nuegados en miel dulce, something I had never tried before. I was glad I did because it was delicious and a great way to end the meal. Overall, the food and experience were excellent. If you are like me and rely on Yelp reviews to decide where to eat, I highly recommend giving La Casita Pupuseria & Market a visit. You will be well pleased like I was.

We tried: Gorditas, 5/5-it's reminiscent of Indian potato patties aka aloo tikki but with corn textures and undertones. Savory Waffles, 5/5-even if you've had chicken and waffles, this one is like an illusion item, you expect certain flavors and textures but encounter something entirely different in a good way. Papas con rajas taco, 5/5-the salsa macha elevates the fried potatoes and poblanos. Drunken mushroom taco, 4/5-dont get me wrong, its a great taco but you get something similar at Taco Bamba, Mi Vida and so on and by this point we were expecting unusual flavors and perfection from Cielo Rojo. Nopales taco, 5/5-by far the best, most delicate and fresh nopales we've had in the area, not slimy. Que Carajo cocktail should move to the brunch cocktail menu for good reason. Licor 43, cold brew, and carajillo are a win win at that time of the day. Tres Leches is another 6/5, a winner with that delightfully slight after taste or maybe fragrance of rose. We wanted to try the Flautas which had the can be made vegetarian/vegan symbol against it but were told that was a mistake and the dish couldn't be made without duck. Not sure if this is true only during brunch since some reviewers do mention the dinner menu having more vegan/vegetarian options. In either case, we'd love to return for brunch and try the dinner menu. These guys have something special on their hands.

Such a great little spot hidden between other restaurants along the Main Street in Silver Spring…read more The place is small so be cautious if you're planning on brining a large group. However, we went with a large group and the owner was able to accommodate but granted most of his business seemed to be carry out. The service was excellent and for the most part I would nothing took more than 15 minutes to come out. The food was all delicious especially the birria pizza. However, don't expect an actual pizza, it's actually a large birria quesadilla but still did not disappoint!! The prices are also reasonable considering the price of everything ! Highly recommend if you're looking for some authentic cuisine!

Having lived in Tijuana, I have had the best birria tacos, and while Taco Loco's birria tacos are not better than what you can get south of the border, they are pretty darn close. They have a full menu in addition to tacos, we also had carne asada sopes. Service is friendly, nothing amazing, but it was friendly and efficient, especially only one young man was working the floor. Ambiance is a bit divey, but I think that's what makes the food taste so good. And a little secret - we liked the tacos so much we went back two days later for more. If you like authentic Mexican food then Taco Loco is a must try.
