A lady who was manning this office during our visit was very friendly, pleasant and willing to assists you with any questions you might have. As usually the case with this type of business, there are some photo books, typical souvenir items (such as mugs and T-shirts) you can purchase if you so desire. Selections are somewhat limited, and you probably can find better selections elsewhere, but some items may be only purchased here. If you happen to be visiting Ansbach, this is a must stop to find out some tourist information and having all your questions answered effortlessly.

The food is good and the prices are fairly reasonable for an airport that is. Shopping is also available, but not very extensive. You can get all your basic needs met though. The nice thing is that it is very easy to maneuver around in and getting through security is not a nightmare. Strict, but you generally get in and out quickly. The nice part is that as soon as you step outside the entrance, you are just a few feet away from the subway entrance and also a taxi stand. Never a need to hunt down either or search all over the place. Very convenient.

The desks were opened less than 1.5 hours before takeoff, there was a very long line for people who needed to check bags, including me. It was incredibly stressful and tight on time to get through security and to the gate because of their lack of being on time. The airport has a store and cafe, but they are not open early in the morning. The rental car place was easy enough to find, but I didn't get a receipt upon turn in.

There were many doors & it was confusing to find the best way out. The high-speed ice trains in Germany are very clean and efficient. But they are not cheap. There aren't many cars on the road because the rail system and bicycles run well here.

Across the street is a large station where you can catch a tram or bus. A little further down the road are the long distance bus station where you can catch busses to take you all across Europe. There is a large taxi stand out front of the main hall and cabs are always lined up ready to take you anywhere. There are of course ticket machines, but also a ticket office if you need help with trip planning or ticket purchases. There are plenty of restaurants and shops to hang out while you wait for your connections. A personal favorite of mine is the large bookstore. I shop there even if I am not travelling.

The hotel is located across the street within the walls of Old Town. The location is great. So easy to walk to churches, the castle or watch the World Cup Finals as every bar and restaurant had it on a big screen (or a small TV on a table.) Our hotel room was so comfy and so cozy. It was a bit of a challenge to find as you went out the door at the end of the hall to find it. It was so quiet and had a view of the Old City Walls and gate. Thankful for air conditioning and complimentary bottles of mineral water in the room. Thirsty? Grab more water from the orange fridge in the lobby. There is also a full honor bar down stairs with drinks and snacks. Our room included a full breakfast buffet in the morning. Loved how the choices were laid out and labeled so clearly in German and English. Enjoyed so many delicious breakfast options. Cheese, salads, fresh fruits, vegetables with hummus, muesli and freshly baked cakes. Swiss hot chocolate? Definitely! My hubby loved his latte. Ask for eggs cooked your way. Would definitely stay at the Hotel Victoria. A charming, and very orange, classic hotel in old town Nuremberg.

Well, let's see…read more.. ...it's a train station ...it take's you places (well, the trains do...not the station) ...it's dirty and gritty ...you can buy your coffee to go and a bite to eat ...you can buy something to read on the road ...it's a train station, and not a nice one at that ...it's small and walking through this place is definitely not one of my favourite pastimes ...it's located in the city centre and everything is within easy reach ...but it's a train station, after all!
