Absolutely delicious! + Taste of Germany - Pork Schnitzel - Amazingly delicious! Fried, but not too oily. Breaded to perfection. Yum! + Mac and Cheese - Gourmet Mac - Phenomenal dish! Lake Tiulana is the lake that's set on the grounds of the Alaska Native Heritage Center in…read moreAnchorage. It's a beautiful, super clear lake that's definitely worth a photo stop or walk around! You can see the lake from the many-windowed wall of the Gathering Place inside the Heritage Center, and get excited to get out there and see it in person. The beach of Lake Tiulana has a few historical pieces around the shore. There is a re-assembled whale skeleton set out in a clearing, as well as a spot at the entrance of the lake with two whale jaw bones creating a large arch. All of the other exterior exhibits at the Alaska Native Heritage Center are mostly arranged around Lake Tiulana so you can easily follow around the lake and see everything on your way. It's a gorgeous lake on an important heritage site for the Alaskan people, so definitely worth a stop to the Heritage Center and to the beautiful Lake Tiulana!

A stained glass piece in the window is what caught my attention in the first place to visit. Upon arrival, I slowly made my way around the store and the owner spoke with me. She was super nice and the topic of stained glass classes came up. I was super excited to hear about the classes and although she didn't have the printed information for fall yet, she gladly took the time to print out an information sheet and wrote the dates of the fall class for me. I was taken to the back of the store to see a huge selection of glass that she just received and loved seeing her Goldie sleeping soundly in the back room. A little bit more chitchat and although I didn't buy anything at that moment, I assured her I would be attending the October class this fall (which I'm super excited about)!!!
