Great times for kids if all ages and sizes!…read more This great "little" amusement park is perfect for a family with smaller kids. They can ride most of the rides. That being said...there were a couple of instances of parents attempting ti convince the park staff to allow them to let toddlers on rides alone or accompanied. Some people just can't figure out why the rules are in place...and are content to waste everyone's time while they argue fruitlessly with staff... But I digress... We had a blast! Prices are fair and lines are reasonable. Kids wore themselves out! We were there for about 5 hours. Only reall complaint us the complete lack of Tinkertown souvenirs. The shop is instead stocked with cheap toys and...Disney stuff? Who want's a frozen doll from Tinkertown? I guess their management knows what's best... I really wanted an "old fashioned" fridge magnet fir our collection! Lol Awe well.

My friend bought a wristband for herself and for the kids and they rode every ride they wanted to. The lady at the restaurant counter (August 13, 2019 @ 1:30pm) was fantastic! She chatted a bit with my friends daughter and really made her smile. The food was what you'd expect, not spectacular but the price was very reasonable. I am really glad that I didn't have to buy a wristband to get into the park (not a huge fan of rides, makes my stomach flip to much), watching my friends kids on the rides was great, they had close to 5 hours of fun. I even bought a ticket so I could ride the train, it was very cute and they smiled the whole time!!

I agree the course is so bumpy it's terrible to walk. We golfed in two groups of three and the marshal on the course shadowed us and kept telling us to keep up to the group in front of us meanwhile even tho they were golfing with carts we were waiting for them on mulitiple holes. We are a group of 10-12 middle aged women's with some sense of etiquette we golf a different course every week and we all agree well never be back. The kicker tho was when my ball was in the rough and I was walking up the Marshal picked up my ball and threw it onto the fairway!! I was dumbfounded NEVER EVER would this happen to a man. I was literally to shocked to even say anything to him. Im certain he just thought he'd move us along, by doing that. My husband agreed if he did that to any man, there likely would have been more that words!!!

The carts aren't cleaned regularly or well and are in poor working order. The last two times we went there one of them broke down. There are piles of deadfall that haven't been cleaned up in two years. Some of the greens look like someone mowed a green for the first time without supervision. The Marshals are rude and unprofessional. One pulled up right behind us in a noisy gas-powered cart while I was getting ready to take a swing on the fairway. He pulled up quite close to make his presence known. After I hit the ball my friends immediately drove off and the Marshall drove up to me holding a ball and without saying, "Hi" or anything and quipped, "This is yours isn't it? You sliced it over there. Pick up your balls." I asked him how he knew it was mine or one of my friends and he just stared at me holding the ball. I responded, "Are you returning it to me?" He replied, "Yes." I said thanks, took the ball and he drove off without a word. After inspecting it I realized it wasn't even my ball. Admittedly I did slice a ball, tried to find it and couldn't. The clubhouse staff didn't seem particularly happy or forthcoming unless they knew the person and then they'd be very friendly and chatty. This review is from my experience this year although over the years I have found this place to have cliquish staff (the older ones, the kids are alright) like a low-end curling club or Legion. They seem to have the patrons they know and want and aren't interested in new ones, in fact, they're downright unwelcoming and entitled. From a value vs. customer experience perspective, it is way overpriced for what it is. There are much better municipal courses in every way for far less if you want a casual round of golf in the greater Winnipeg area and if you want to spend that kind of money there are far better options. Summary: Not friendly, poorly managed, maintained and a great way to have mediocre to an unpleasant experience for a couple of hours on what would otherwise be a beautiful day.

Wow - I'm really surprised to see such a low rating average for this particular Rec Room location…read morebecause when I came here with my friend, we had a great experience. In my opinion, this is one of the better Rec Room locations out there. Possibly even the best location? I have no idea what the other locations across the country are like, but I'm specifically referring to the other locations in London, Mississauga and Downtown Toronto. There's a large variety of games, and the place is much bigger than the other Rec Room locations I mentioned. Plus, the games are relatively easy to win. I, as well as my friend, managed to get a few jackpots in! Some games were out of order, but thankfully not enough for me to overly notice or complain over. Broken games are unfortunately just simply what arcades are like anywhere. Perhaps the low rating is related to the food or drinks here. I did not come here for the food as I always think of the games here when I think of The Rec Room, nor did I consume any food or drinks. I'm not from the Winnipeg area presently, but I have every intent to return here if I'm back!

It was a SilverCity Famous Players at Polo Park. I loved coming here because it was a standalone movie theatre on Polo Park property, across from The Bay (rest in department store peace), with shaded parking and huge movie screens. The shaded parking was key. It kept you cooler walking between the two buildings when it was hot outside. It helped keep you less frozen and damp during the wintertime. I returned last week to see the latest Mission Impossible flick. I've watched every single one in the series, so why break this streak now? This movie was playing at Scotiabank Theatre only. It was perfect to relive memories here. It's got 3D IMAX and D-BOX seating. You can also go cheaper with a regular seat, which is equally as good with comfy seating and lots of legroom. A Tuesday matinee is the best bang for your buck if you can do it. I paid for my ticket through the Cineplex app. It was easy to present my QR code when I got to the theatre. I had already eaten a breakfast sandwich before walking through the doors. I needed a drink and hit the concession stand. I got the nicest woman behind the counter. She was super nice and friendly. I got a regular Diet Coke. I got my Scene+ barcode scanned and used an e-gift card to pay for it. She also gave me a balance printout. Nice! The drink was cold and hit the spot. It was great. I liked being back here. The downside was the kid behind me kicking the back of my seat. I looked back a few times. The parents did nothing. Luckily, it was intermittent, but still annoying. The length of the movie was almost three hours. My bladder and I were so close sitting through the whole movie. It nudged me to use the women's washroom, which wasn't far away from the theatre that I was in. I left with half an hour to spare. The women's washroom was clean. No complaints. I returned to my row, but sat away from the kicking boy. It was so much better. I should have shifted over. I enjoyed the flick. I left at the right time to use the washroom. I didn't miss much. I'm so glad that I caught a couple of movies while I was in town. It was nice to return here. It hasn't changed, other than branding. (281)
