I…read morehave been a patron for over 20 years, but am transitioning to another bank due to the decline in services within this branch as well as at the corporate level. The fees are significant and unfair, and the lack of staff knowlege has resulted in account errors that have been costly (depending on who you ask you will likely get a different answer). Should you make a mistake on your register (for example forget to deduct a random autopay from your balance) you will be charged $35 per item (even if the withdrawal is for less than $1) in the order they came in. Within a day this mistake will easily and unfairly cost you over $200 and common sense cannot be negotiated, and they won't consider reversing the fees no matter how silly they seem. So, if you are at any risk of making a simple mistake on your register for less than a cup of coffee, I recommend you bank elsewhere. Its unfortunate, because switching banks after 20 years is a pain but makes sense for me...because chances are I will at some point forget to add that cup of coffee to my register and I will need some understanding and grace from the person I am speaking with at my bank so that it doesn't become a $200 mistake. A few months ago, I had a restaurant incorrectly charged me over $1000 on my bill (I paid with my credi/debit card). I didn't realize it until the next day when I looked at my bank account online. Aleta was so helpful in getting it all sorted out, and truly went above and beyond. Since then, I have opened a new checking account there and she as well as the other employees at this branch were so helpful. Next I will be opening a savings account there. I went into this location hoping to get resolution resolving the passing of my father and Jordan acted as if my questions were beneath him. He provided no guidance or recommendation, just told me that they were the busiest location (with three people inside) and there is nothing he can do. His insensitivity caused emotional turmoil at an already emotional time. As a member of 25+ years, I expected more from UW Credit Union and do not recommend this location at all.

Once, when I brought in a large cashier's cheque from an out-to-state bank and needed to use the money promptly, the staff was able to call that bank, then "bend the rules a bit" and shorten up the time that they needed to "hold the deposit" until the paperwork cleared. This credit union provides excellent support (at a great price) if you need expert tax preparation, too. The ONLY complaint that I have about this credit union is that they do not offer "medallion services" if you have been mailed a form to prove your identity to some "big time" financial institution like Franklin Templeton. But for this issue, there was an easy work-around. They still get 5 stars.

I have never been treated by ANYONE IN MY WHOLE LIFE like I was just treated today, 12/18/21. We went into the Franklin office for a simple transfer from my IRA to our checking account. The first officer could not open the required transaction forms on his computer so he asked his associate to help. This has already taken 15 to 20 minutes. As we went over to her cubicle, he put his coat on and left early. Coincidence? I think the whole thing went south we she asked me why I was asking for the withdrawal/ transfer. She didn't like my response which was because it's my money? She never explained that there are certain categories the form requires the request be assigned to. And the transaction went down hill from there. Next we were told that because it was a weekend, the transfer was not real time and would take place on Monday after she faxed the documents in. FAXED? In this day and age? Are you kidding me? FAXED!! So we were given the choice of waiting 10 minutes for a printed fax confirmation or we could go without it. About the time when I asked her if she could email the confirmation to us we were told no, and asked to leave her cubicle and eventually the building because she didn't appreciate our attitude. So, we left and I'll bet you anything, when we check on Monday, it will not have been done. Ms. DD you don't have the temperament to serve your customers in a competent or professional manner. Quite frankly, you would be better suited asking people if they want fries with their burgers. Maybe you could handle that! We will see if you transferred OUR money on Monday and then start looking for a new bank! Hopefully one that promotes competency and demands employees prioritize great customer service. This Chase branch has no concept of that!! They don't deserve your business!
