I was given a signed letter from the organization and I was told to go to the Police Station. There was a stand near the entrance to fill out forms. I filled out a form for a Police Records Check for Service with the Vulnerable Sector. I took out my driver's license and my passport, and took a number from the machine based on my reason for being there. I was seen right away. The downside was that it took me a couple more visits to actually be able to submit my forms, as my IDs still had a Mississauga address and they needed additional proof of address, in which case I had to wait to get both a copy of my tenant's agreement and some type of credit card or utility bill. Other than that, the service at the station was pretty great - fast and to the point. It took me weeks to receive my police check in the mail since they had to exchange information with Mississauga, but it's great that I now have a common requirement of career opportunities in the non-profit sector.

They also made him go to police station in bare feet. Meanwhile, he explained that all of this is unfair and that he should be able to go get his glasses because he's literally blind without them and they told him that they did not care so he lost his $400 pair of glasses and they also took them to station under inaccurate information that was saying that he breached his parole but that was restriction was no longer active. they also refused to give him a phone call. They're just horrible and every single way I can think of. If you're being attacked, don't even call the cops in Ottawa they're probably gonna arrest you. ACAB

Were they force people to sign so -called "eviction notice" or they just leave. They only took my details and forced me to sign. Then I was told that I had to go and remove the homeless myself. I asked to see the report that I signed, but there was NOTHING written in that report. So the have now all the freedom to write any lies they feel appropriate...To Serve and Protect, NOT.  Poste 22, car 3 6 avril 2024
