None have been delivered, They were going to California, Colorado, Indiana, New York, Vermont, Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina, Louisiana, Texas and Alabama including Montgomery. Again, none have been delivered. I went to the Winton Blount post office, they told me mail is often stolen from their boxes and sent me to another post office on the eastern Southern Blvd. There they told me no boxes were reported broken into in December in Montgomery and my cards are probably in the Winton Blount facility. I presumed that once I mailed my cards in a USPO box, the US government had control of the mail and they would be distributed as addressed. There is one star because I had to leave a star to post. Everyone I spoke to was polite.

Both young females there were short with me, that they couldn't help me with the online and to just start over and do it again. After filing out the paper one and turning it in I asked how long it would be. They said 3-4 weeks. I already knew filing something online that it takes only 10 days. I asked if I could have anything that showed it took and they said no, just if nothing happens in 3-4 weeks to come back and do it again. I move every 2 years and this is the first issue after 10 moves I've had with the online and USPS online chat said to go in person to have ID scanned. It has now been past the 10 business days and haven't gotten anything in the mail yet. Leading me to believe they didn't do the paper one correctly. Will not be using this post office again. Surprised by their great reviews or maybe the two younger females working front desk are new and instead of saying they don't know give you bad info.

So we had to wait for our packets to be worked on between customers. A supervisor came out to tell people who were dropoff, pickup or question she was available. That doesn't help us at all if you can't get behind a register to process others or help us send our passport applications. Why do you have appointments if you don't honor them? Of note: the gentleman behind the counter was doing amazing job and very nice. Ridiculous that he had to do it all by himself.

I was overcharged hundreds of dollars for shipments that were sent that supposedly were not weighed…read moreor marked correctly. Often get package delivery alerts but no packages. The last two deliveries were smashed - they were gift boxes and were ruined. The last two deliveries I received were taped with red and white tape saying they were "damaged" but it was clearly just cut open and items were removed - which happened last year a couple times including a wallet where just the empty package was delivered. I've given up on shipping anything at all through this PO. I haven't calculated by total losses but it's something that just keeps happening so I don't see anything improving. No plans to order anything more on delivery or use this PO to ship. I wish they were not like this.

This is what I arrived to on Tuesday, July 29th at 8 am. A lone despondent postal worker donning holey thin gray sweatpants and a holey "USPS" shirt arrived to open at 8:15 am. He slowly unlocked the doors and "invited in" the 5 waiting customers. One individual requested boxes to mail a number of packages. He was lectured by the postal worker to order online because he cannot give out all of the supplies. The customer responded that he had ordered online, but the boxes were never received. Next, a young lady walked in and requested a passport application. Supposedly, the "main branch" is an official passport location. However, the "main branch" did not have any passport applications for distribution. Next, I requested a label to mail an Express package. Of course, labels are not available in the lobby. I receive the label and fill out the address for my packages. I pay. The receipt machine jams up and the receipt is half/printed. I wait. I finally received a fully printed receipt. Again, WHAT. IS. GOING. ON? Keep in mind that if you live in Prattville, Millbrook, Wetumpka, Montgomery, and other surrounding areas, your mail navigates its way through this post office before leaving Montgomery. The City of Montgomery, the customers and the postal worker deserve a better environment. The standards of the working environment and the services in general are too low. Until this improves, take your business elsewhere.

I have a horror story with the Troy Alabama Post Office. Tried mailing cards to my daughter using…read morean express mail envelope. It was filled out correctly but the clerk was all bent out of shape that I was paying more for using the express envelope rather than the flat rate one. She said it was $28 for the flat rate envelop and $37 for the Express one. I said I did not care how much it was but she kept going on about it so I went and got the flat rate envelope and an address slip, sat down and filled it out and got back in line. While in line there was a tape dispenser on the table and I used it to seal the envelope since they frequently tear open before reaching destination. This time the lady said in a loud rude voice that I used the wring tape (express instead of priority) and the address slip was also had the same issue. I told her that was the only tape available and there were non priority address slips available either but she would not listen. She could have easily covered the tape with the correct tape and. marked thru "express" on the slip but I guess their minds don't think that way. Instead I am told I would have to do it again. I looked at the line and decided I had enough. There is a UPS store across the street so I left the Post Office and went there. Walking in the UPS Store I felt like the entire atmosphere changed. Instead of a long line of frustrated customers being service by two slow moving grumpy postal workers I was greeted by an empty line and three smiling professional workers ready to help me. I explained what I just went thru and the were attentive and not once did they interrupt me or speak in a rode and condescending way. I wound up with a cost of $40.02 and the clerk dug two pennies out of a drawer, making it an even $40. Its scheduled to be delivered in 3 days and I have much more confidence it will be delivered and on time than I would have with the post office. That makes the additional $12 worth every penny! In fact I will never use the post office again.
