A Plus Storage

I specifically told the employee (someone that we know personally) that the self storage where we had been parking our RV didn't have a gate and I'd heard about catalytic converters being stolen across the nation. Had she told me that an RV parked in their facility had the catalytic converter stolen back in early 2021, I would not have spent 50% more $$ monthly and have driven 40 minutes 1 way versus 5 minutes. Early December 2021 we got a call from them that our catalytic converter had been stolen and also the one on the only other Class C parked there. The front page of their website says this: Fully Fenced & Gated Property. A Plus Storage is always safe and secure with perimeter fencing and coded gate entry. Apparently NOT for motorhomes. The deductible on our insurance took my whole Christmas bonus. I was told that they are not liable for anything that happens to your vehicle on their property. So it ended up being really expensive to have our RV parked where they are somewhat secluded and anyone can jump the fence. We have moved our motorhome to a facility that has 3 rows of barbed wire on top of the fencing and a serious camera system and it is less money than we were paying at A Plus. Hope this keeps someone else from losing a lot of $$ on a motorhome catalytic converter theft. Not to mention the hassle of dealing with insurance and getting the repair done.

Brenda, the manager, is a pleasure to deal with and does a great job. Would highly recommend and would definitely rent here again. I also rented a U-Haul trailer at this location and expect that to be a good experience next week on my move to Florida.

We started prepping our house to move to a new place for the first time so we didn't had any experience. We had boxes everywhere and had to rent a storage space just so that we could walk around the house. That was before we learned that this people bring the storage pod to pretty much your front door, leave it there for the time you need it, then they pick it up the date to schedule them to come by. If you are moving to a new place right then and there they pick it up and deliver it to the new place. IF you are in my situation where we have to leave the house and rent until our new house is built then they pick it up and take it to their facilities and hold it for you until you request them to deliver it. For us it will be for around 7 months so I will be updating this review in the future. hopefully saying how well everything came back to us. BTW. We had to reschedule the pick up time and they where really flexible with it as well. Great customer service.

I called to order a POD and let the rep know that my driveway was on a decline. I could not get anything in the POD, as everything would roll/fall out. I thought maybe when the movers came, they had a skill that I didn't. They were also unable to load items into the POD for the same reason, making it unusable. When I called the company, they would not give a refund or make any other arrangements to rectify the situation. I was told that when the POD was picked up, they would verify it had not been used and then discuss a refund. When I contacted them again, I was told that there would be no refund and that I could have scheduled for a reposition. I was not offered this option when I called, nor did I have time to wait since the movers were already there with their truck. I ended up having to get 2 moving trucks and now the company refuses to discuss a refund, nor did they want to offer any type of apology. The customer service is totally lacking. I will NEVER use this company again. My move was definitely made much harder due to this.

The prices are a lot better than the ones from nurseries that we have visited in Burlington and Richwood. Our tub drain under the house was disconnected and was dumping into our crawl space. Also, our existing plumbing was cast iron and upon further inspection Matt found that it was disintegrating. Although it was OK for the moment we decided that while he was down there to have it replaced with PVC. While I had him here he also replaced the drain under the bathroom sink because it was leaking and he tightened our toilet seat. Matt completed the job thoroughly, providing photos since I couldn't get under the house. He left everything in perfect working order. I found his pricing to be very competitive and affordable. He came out quickly to give a quote and was able to get to us very quickly once I accepted it. He stayed until the job was done and was very communicative from start to finish. I actually found out about this place while I was in the middle of doing a load of laundry at the other laundromat in town. I saw a flyer posted in a bakery about Cynthiana Suds and wanted to check them out right away. As soon as my load was done washing, I packed it into the laundy bag and brought it to Suds to dry. I took a quick look around the place, saw all the giant dryers, and asked the one other person in the building if there were more dryers. She pointed towards the back. Without thinking, I put my clothes in them to dry and...... realized I had put them in a washer. Oops! I misunderstood the woman and my clothes were extra cleaned (I couldn't retrieve the quarters or the clothes to stop the cycle). Fortunately, the dryers worked well and I didn't have to wait longer than 45 minutes for my load to dry. Whew. Cynthian Suds? It's clean! It's bright! It's new! Whee! It's kind of small, but much better than the other laundromat in town with several washer/dryer sizes, free WiFi, and a much more comfortable atmosphere to sit and wait. Or, if you're like me and prefer to spend the wait time walking around town, the main area of town is just a few blocks away. The parking lot here is a bit tricky, but not too bad if there's only a couple people there. Definitely coming here from now on.... until I acquire my own washer/dryer.

I was told while in the shop that all of the art was local and you had to live within a 60 mile radius to display and sell your artwork. There are some talented folks in the Vevay area. I really enjoyed perusing the art and all of the different art forms and techniques used. There were paintings, wood work, fused glass, sculptures, clay work and jewelry. There were items at all price points depending on what you were looking for. I ended up with two items from the same artist. I purchased a magnet to mark my time in Vevay, Indiana and also a necklace that she handcrafted. I will definitely stop in here again to check out new pieces when I am back in town.
