Important to Note: this review is from "service" received mid-October 2021. At the time, I…read morerefrained from communicating my profound dissatisfaction and anger to avoid getting myself in trouble, plus was busy moving.
Having said that, we hired this company to help us prep, disassemble a few things like the bed frames, load, and unload *only* our furniture to our nearby empty 3 huge storage units for a small 1,500 sq ft 3 bdrm house.
Moving day, 7-people, plus 2 of their "friend-fill ins," one of which was a girl that couldn't have weighed more than 90 lbs soaking wet showed up. Half of them sat around talking, didn't bring come-alongs, furniture blankets, and clueless as to how to safely disassemble furniture. Literally, 8.50 hours later, with 9 damn people, half of whom literally sat around chatting amongst themselves, saying they needed a break after literally doing nothing for 45 mins, with a less than HALF Completed job, they had the brass balls to charge us $2,200!!! $2,200 for 9 people in 8.50 hours for a seriously incomplete job. We later discovered they'd stolen some of our items, including my brand new $300 Crosswave, they damaged several pieces of furniture by being careless and inexperienced and utterly unprepared. They loaded up our storage units like a blind toddler playing Jenga. I have photos. Furniture on top of furniture, half hanging off, drawers, doors of wardrobe half open, chipping corners. Dude should be grateful he went to my husband, because I'm pretty I wouldn't have been pleasant. We didn't know the extent of everything of the storage units or stolen items, or damage to furniture until we moved into our new home a couple weeks later. We were under a rapidly closing deadline to be out and they forced to hire another company to help us finish moving. Two dudes, $500, 6 hours and they did THREE TIMES what **NINE PEOPLE accomplished in 8.50 hours. This was when we saw the condition of the storage units which we made sure to be there for which forced us to have to last minute rent an entire additional unit at $294/month because of how poorly everything was just dumped in each unit. The girl actually asked me if she could have our glider after she overheard my husband and I discussing selling it. I gave it to her. Extremely unprofessional. I truly don't know how the "lead" dude came to us at 4 or 5 pm, after they unloaded the Uhaul with more than half the job remaining and tallied up the # people, hours "worked," and uttered $2,200 cost! First, under no circumstances did we agree to pay each person, per hour, especially given the obvious fill-ins and overall uselessness of most of them. The lead guy should not have been the supervisor. He was clearly uncomfortable with what that role requires. He seemed to be literally the only one that knew anything and he just rounded up whatever friends were available and wanted some extra money. After we realized the extent of everything, I called to speak with someone important, left two or three voice mails, never heard back. I sent a couple emails to the address I had, and nothing. Clearly, I'm still super pissed about our experience. I will say, our own progression in the packing and moving process was not ideal given the deadline, that's on us, BUT no one can argue the # of people, the lack of progress, the cost, and the unexpected costs to us that resulted from using an unprofessional, unprepared, and grossly inexperienced group of people that didn't want to actually work for whatever they friggin' received from the very incomplete job and expectation of services. Then, the lack of willingness to explain how they came up with $2,200 for a grossly incomplete job, never mind the damage to property, stolen items, and other crap, no effort to make it right, or even hear us out. If memory serves, we went with this company because Angie's List or whatever recommended them and because it said they were veteran-owned and operated. My husband and I are both service-connected veterans so we wanted to support that which is shameful if that's how they conduct business. We own a small family business too and would never dream of treating our clients this way otherwise we'd have no clients, rightfully so. Someone seriously took advantage of our last minute need for time sensitive help. Apologies for the 4 years late review, but others should know what quality they may receive.
