This place likes to close early and then charge you for a late fee, and then try to raise your rent on your unit. Wow, why don't you try getting your act together and try being professional, as well as making sure all of your units are well lit before you go raising storage fees. I mean, you can raise fees but I guarantee you won't fix your lighting issues like you claim you would six months ago. This company has some real nerve. PS - They will evict you immediately if you leave a negative review because of a clause in their contract allows them to evict you for any and no reasons. I was evicted without cause the day I left this review and was told "I don't know what the reason you were evicted for" and that they can do whatever they please when I asked a reason I was evicted. They have a history of this and don't give two iotas about their customers. Their stock replies on here by management are laughable. I even had the common courtesy to leave the unit I used in immaculate condition when I left. I was a good tenant with some minor complaints, they were an unreasonable and uncaring business. read more

Unprofessional for a corporate business I would think higher standards would be a must. I have several complaints and I've ignored them until now hoping they would get their act together since they recently took over garden valley storage and turned it into a huge corporation that doesn't have to care about its customers if it chooses not to. 1st complaint: Many months ago I asked for a light to be installed across from my unit because there was no lights, a couple months later they finally installed some lights, here and there but not where I needed it. I even offered to buy and install a lightbulb just so it wouldn't be so dark next to my unit. This request has just been swept under the rug by management and I gave up, hopefully someone will hurt themselves and a lawsuit will make you act on your cheapness and laziness. 2nd: The 10th of Nov I came by the office to pay my bill at 5:55pm and all the lights were off and not an employee in sight, very unprofessional to close before your stated business hours, in fact I think its even against the law, maybe they should be reported to the BBB for not taking this seriously. My reasoning is simple, I had a very busy week and if I show up on the last day to pay my bill before you lock my unit then by all means you have no right to close early on the last day to pay your bill, forcing me to pay more in fees. 3rd: When I called to make a complaint today, regarding the business being closed early, the employee lied to me about being their until 6:01pm, which is telling the customer that they are wrong. I know what time I showed up because my cell phone is the exact time, that's how they are made and programmed; the time is set by satellite. 4th: Management raised the rates of my unit by 28% without any form of notice, they claim they sent a letter that I never received, wheres the email? You love sending me emails and paperless bills so where is the email stating I would be paying more. I would've already moved my stuff out if I would've known about this. I would never pay $50 a month for a roach infested non climate controlled unit. And yes there is roaches, I've seen them several times so be warned if you plan on storing anything of high value! Seriously though... Who raises their rates by 28% and expects not to get upset customers. When the government wants to raises taxes on large businesses like yours you whine like your world is going to end but you have no problem raising my rate by 28% when you probably pay less then 15% in tax. 5th: They are very limited for payment options, no online payments and many cards like AMEX are not accepted. This can be very inconvenient when your out of town like I am frequently. 6th: If this isn't enough reasons for you to choose elsewhere then you deserve the lack of care and unprofessionalism you get while using ustores facilities. There is many different choices and better options that cost less, look around folks dont get stuck moving your stuff out and having to relocate after you see these problems yourself. read more

Whatever lady I had to talk to using the emergency after hours phone was extremely rude and I would love to use a lot of bad words but I won't. Setting up with the kind gentleman who was working the office last Saturday , he knew we would be coming Sunday when they were closed moving a giant UHaul from the coast. I had my daughter go in Saturday, sign the papers, set it up, got the code and we asked if we needed to get a lock then or if we could just buy one Sunday. He said that was fine. Then we show up, didn't know they had their own locks on and so we were locked out. Called the emergency number 3 times before they answered and she gave 2 s**** about us and said that wasn't an emergency and she wasn't going to come. I got rude right back as b***** as I could because I was furious how rude she was and then she said if she can't get ahold of the other guy then owell. She needs a write up! read more
