The best way to go up and down the River Thames in London. You will find them at almost every pier. You can use the app if you already have it and purchase your tickets ahead of time. It does cost just a bit less to purchase ahead of time, but you'll need to pick the time that you'll be boarding. And you can go with a full day pass and get on and off, or you can do a one-way, or round trip. You can also just walk straight onto the boat and tap your credit card when you enter and exit.
They are all slightly different inside, but they are all enclosed by glass with air conditioning and individual seats. There are other companies that are open air if you want to feel the cold river wind. These also have a cafe, and several restroom stalls. If you don't know what time you'll be boarding, they typically have 10-15 minutes wait times for the next boat. And if you're one to get sea sick, like me, it's actually a pretty motionless ride.
