Ubiquitous Driver is very Professional and on time which for Josh and his team is early. They stay ready to be ready. I provided short notice for a pick up request at the airport for 7 people flying in on diff flights, airlines, and times on the same day. To make it even more of a challenge it was the Holidays and they were flying in from heavy storm impacted areas. I was super stressed doing the work of 4 people; including the role of airport driver and running behind in finishing the final touches on my home for my guests arrival. Highly recommend Josh and Ubiquitous Driver. We are in Austin for a month and my boyfriends' bday was coming up. I had planned a full day of activities (all COVID compliant, wearing masks, distancing, etc) and needed someone to drive us from place to place as we don't have a car here. Google searches didn't turn up many options other than atxprivatecar services which quoted me $600 for the day- as much as I love my boyfriend and wanted him to have a very special bday, $600 is a lot of money to spend on someone driving us around. The only reason we needed this service is because some locations were in Fredericksburg (wineries) and a 75 minute drive out of Austin with limited Uber/lyfts that far out. I turned to Yelp and am SO happy I did bc that is where I found Josh! I sent a message to three businesses' and Josh was the first to reply at an unbeatable price point (actually unbeatable- no one else could match). He was super responsive, communicative and friendly. Day of- he was five minutes early to our pickup location, was very considerate and prepared (hand sanitizer, asked us what music we want in advance, the like) and a very safe driver. His car is very clean and so comfortable. He was also super flexible when we ran a little late and needed an extra hour added. Josh is also extremely socially aware- during our day long excursion, he was really great at joining the convo whether it be to offer some good food recommendations for us, or informing us on what animals we would see during the drive (yes we're all city folk and didn't know the difference between sheep's/goats) but never intruding or talking our ear off (the opposite actually!). I really appreciated that he was so helpful, friendly and informative, but never annoying, too chatty or intrusive. It was the perfect mix and it's a real life skill that many do not possess - Josh does. We all noted that to each other after on just how great he was ! Accidentally discovered this service through an unexpected last minute need one day and so grateful to have found them! I could not be happier! I've since used them as my "go-to" for everything ride related. Most recently it's been airport rides, and they are totally proactive with watching flights and making sure you not only get to the airport in time, they also make sure they are there to pick you up when you return. Need a ride for a special night out on the town? Don't bother with Uber or Lyft, these guys can hook you up! Just tell them where you're going and for what and they will totally take care of you! Concerts? Special dinner out? Don't worry about driving, schedule everything you need for transport and just relax. I am late in posting this review due to a heavy schedule my family has had, but we used Ubiquitous Driver about two weeks ago to have our two high school students and a few of their friends driven to their Homeschool formal in downtown Austin. The kids were picked up at our home in Leander and dropped off at the event center, and then picked up again at midnight and brought back to our house. I HIGHLY recommend this company! First, I was in need of company that we could rent a car for a point-to-point pickup/drop off and not have to rent for a minimum number of hours before we could even secure a driver. I put out an SOS out on Yelp to see if there was a company that 1) offered point-to-point, 2) was available for the date/time we were needing, and 3) had good reviews since they would be in charge of getting the kids to their event and back home safely. Josh, the owner, answered my request pretty quickly. He said they were available and could accommodate our needs! And their ratings were good among their customers! Once I committed to their company, Josh sent me an invoice that I was also able to add our gratuity at that point if I wanted to as well. The invoicing was easy and to us the pricing was very reasonable considering the other prices I was getting just to rent a vehicle for a minimum of 3 hours! The driver, Gary, was awesome! He arrived early in a sleek, black, clean Suburban. Gary was very personable and had a great sense of humor! He called me about 30 or so minutes after he left our house to let me know the kids were dropped off at their location and that everything was good! Thank you, Gary, for that call! He then text me close to midnight to let me know he was back at the event center and waiting for the kids. Once they were on the road my son text me to let me know there were leaving, but that they were all starving after a night of dancing, so Gary said he could drive them through somewhere so they could get something to eat. WOW! Unfortunately, at that time of night, most places weren't open anymore, or they had really long lines so they had to head home. Gary got them back safe and sound and the kids (6 total) all had great things to say about him, too! Thank you, Ubiquitous Driver, for a great experience from start to finish! If there are ever times we'll need a car again, we know who we'll call, or we'll recommend if someone ever needs a driver! read more
