Fixed the cracked back glass with a second market part now the functionality of my front screen time is not working well and they had to keep the phone for two days. When I'm on a call people on the other end can no longer hear me clearly. Touch screen does not function properly anymore as well. Was also told to make sure it now has to be in a very low humidity environment. Fixed one problem then broke what was working just fine. Newer iPhone is now messed up. Cant afford to buy a new one. read more

Went in to have a cracked screen repaired on an iPhone 14 and first red flag i should have caught was they charged me upfront before an evaluation or repairs were made. They told me the repair would take a few hours and would call me when they were done. 4 hours pass and no call so i stopped by the location. when i got to the front of the line after a 25 minute wait they said oh yeah we have your phone ready and went and got it. why if it was ready did i not get my call... whatever. New screen looked good but the touch was unresponsive. i mentioned it to the staff and the girl running the front looked like she had no idea what to do. she said let me ask the guy that fixed our phone and walked into the back with my phone and was gone for another 5 minutes or so. i hear chatter then the unmistakable sound of a phone with no case hitting the ground and a bunch of people saying oh shit.. then a guy that could barely speak English comes out with my phone saying look look its working see and using the touch screen. said all he did was force restart and it worked. id already tried that and it hadnt but whatever. not after just 6 days of my phone working the touch screen is completely unresponsive. i called and they said they would have to do a "warranty fix" that would take some time. these people are morons and i wish id have taken my phone anywhere else. now im stuck in another state on a business trip without a working phone and i get to pay another 200 dollars somewhere else to have my phone fixed again. what a joke. read more

I had a dead battery in an iPhone product and had Asurion insurance on the phone through ATT. The reason for that is my children and their propensity to drop or crack, etc. a phone. Turns out to be handy for replacement of this iPhone SE 2nd Gen for $75 deductible. We thought it was just a dead battery, so I was advised by the Asurion representative to take it to this location for evaluation, it was Monday. I was next in line. It took about 15 minutes for them to diagnose my phone and recommend the replacement option instead of a simple battery replacement. I contacted Asurion and received a phone in the mail on Tuesday. The box included materials to send the old phone back in a very simple process. It could not have been easier. Four stars only because their lobby had no seating area and had a video and audio commercial advertising their whole home insurance for every kind of device for only $25 per month. I also had to listen to the well crafted sales pitch each time I contacted them on the phone (twice). They ask what happened with the phone and ask leading questions about other devices in proximity and then try to sell you an insurance product on everything. They also make a big deal about prosecuting fraud, which makes one think that they could possibly be difficult to work with if your case is not just a straight up, straight forward, easy case. A 30 second looping advertisement, loudly broadcast, gets really old if you are waiting, even if it was only 15 minutes. read more

Excellent service! Very kind staff and pleasant to work with. We brought our phone in today and research online told us it was unlikely the phone was repairable. Unfortunately it wasn't. We received clear detail on how they would attempt to repair, left the phone and received a follow up call earlier than when was quoted. They under promised and over delivered! I knew I needed to replace the battery on my iPhone, as it runs down after about five hours. Then last Sunday I dropped my phone and shattered the front screen. With all that, the phone was working fine. I brought it in today to fix those two problems, got a quote and was told it would be about four hours. I came back at the appointed time and was told they were unable to fix either problem. I can respect that. What I can't respect is that they left my phone in WORSE condition than when I dropped it off. It will now not hold a charge AT ALL and randomly turns itself off, forcing a hard restart, after just a few minutes of use. At least they didn't charge me for making my phone inoperable. read more

DO NOT GO HERE TO GET YOUR PHONE FIXED!!!!! I went in on a Wednesday at 5:00 to get a new screen. They told me they couldn't get me in that day because they were about to close. They close at 7:00, so this didn't make sense to me. But I shrugged it off... went in on Thursday morning to get it fixed before work. They told me it would be Friday afternoon before it would be ready. I went in today (Monday)... on my day off at 10 A.M. to see what they could do. They said to come back at 1:00. I went back at 1:00 and they said there was an issue with the calibration, and they needed more time to fix it. I asked them to email me when it was ready but didn't hear back for THREE HOURS... so I went back over to the store and they looked at me and said they couldn't fix it. I asked for my money back and they couldn't give it back since I filed a claim through insurance. I immediately went to the CPR store on Woodruff and they fixed it in 30 minutes and said there were 0 problems with calibration. This is the worst service I've ever gotten at a business. I NEVER write reviews... good or bad. So take my word for it... this place does not know what they're doing. DO NOT GO HERE. read more

Situation (December 9; 10am-6:30pm): Took phone in for warranty repair and approval with ticket number from manufacturer to Spartanburg, SC location. Left phone with manager with both screens working and a couple pixels missing on inside screen. After going back three times, making 4 calls to the manufacturer (one call on speaker phone while inside store with manager, Samsung rep and me; glad all calls are monitored and recorded and that the store has 6 cameras inside to account for what I'm sharing. You'd notice on the footage where the manager tried to put the phone on mute so the Samsung rep couldn't hear what he was saying) I received my phone back with pixels still missing on inside screen and now outside screen not working. The technician broke my outside screen. While the inside screen pixel issue was covered under warranty, I was asked for my credit card to pay for outside screen that they broke before manager would give me my phone. I didn't give manager my credit card and manager 'un-repaired' my phone before giving it back. Had to mail phone to manufacturer for repair for free, because it was approved to be covered under warranty. Samsung was great and handled me with the quality service any customer deserves, while uBreakiFix offered contrary service. I had to buy another phone while my phone is being fixed. While the manager's tone remained calm, what the manager said and did was different each of the three times I went into the store. The manager even said, "...I'd never buy another Samsung phone...if Google gets its act together, I'll get a Pixel..." The initial time I went inside the manager brought my phone out dis-assembled to explain how the newly replaced inner screen didn't work ("wasn't compatible") with the existing outer screen and that's why the outer screen wasn't working. He shared that only two new screens (inner and outer) work, but never actually showed me that they worked. I never saw my phone's outer screen work again. Other details - Before my visit to uBreakiFix, I visited my local AT&T store, verified phone's manufacturer's warranty was still active and insurance claim was not necessary at this time. Called Samsung, confirmed condition of phone and that warranty covered issue, received ticket number and referred to two uBreakiFix locations nearest me. I chose the closest location - Spartanburg. I stopped by Spartanburg location to confirm that the part was in the night before and the store representative inspected my phone. I told him I'd return the next day for the warranty repair. In addition, the Samsung rep confirmed the part was to be mailed to the location and provided me the ticket number for the warranty repair. I was first person there at 10 am and the store manager checked me in and communicated with me most of the process. Protocol broken: Manager asked for my phone's access code and did not offer factory reset. Manager never provided me with a repair ticket after taking my phone back for warranty repair. Manager said Samsung only covers one repair during the warranty period. After breaking the outside screen on my phone, I now have two issues with my phone. I went to another uBreakiFix in the area to confirm protocol and found that the manager in fact broke several protocols noted above. I spoke with several manufacturer representatives and confirmed protocol was indeed broken. I can only review this location/manger and based on my experience, I would not recommend this place to anyone. Who is responsible? Asurion (Parent company), Spartanburg, SC uBreakiFix location, or the manager who 'handled' me throughout 95% of this horrific experience? It's certainly not my wrong to make right. After reading other reviews (TrustPilot.com) it appears to be a consistent theme and changing the name of uBreakiFix does not change their practices and level of service. I can only imagine how much it costs the manufacturers because of mistakes and breaks their 'Authorized Technicians' make. I also wonder how much it costs parent company to cover the mistakes of specific stores/managers/employees. How many others have experienced similar but didn't write a review? Corona was at the front desk, he explained the process, gave me an estimate, and told me it would be completed within 2 hours. I'm pretty ignorant about tech issues so I got the shaft from these guys. They installed a new hard drive and setup an administrator with a name similar to mine, but misspelled. Basically they did little to nothing right. Just stuck the drive in and left the rest up to me. And the monthly insurance program they offer is a waste of money. Stupid me. read more

My phone has been making a loud clicking sound for weeks, and I have been putting it off because I thought it was gonna be an expensive fix. In fact, when I took it to the Apple store a few weeks prior, they told me it would be $100 to even look at the phone. I made an appointment here, and was in and out of the store and under five minutes. The man at the front, took my phone and fixed the repair without even needing to check it in. He told me there was three loose screws, and I could bring it back if they ever came loose again! When I asked him how much it cost, he told me it was free. This is truly a company with kind and honest employees! I'm so happy I stopped by and if I ever need anything else, this is where I'm coming!! read more

Critical: Professionalism, Responsiveness, Value DO NOT BUY ASURION FOR A PRE EXISITNG REPAIR ISSUE I called at the end of October after getting varied but typically high priced quotes for my MacBook pro screen. Understandable given the way Apple makes it difficult for non apple vendors to repair products. When I called I spoke with a woman who told me the quote which was in the 800s range but offered me an alternative option. That option which is through Ausurion insurance. She told me I could start the policy, wait 30 days and then bring the computer in for repair. The price she told me would be in the $150-200 range. Now of course I jumped at that idea and asked the typical questions to make sure it wasn't too good to be true. I said will that cover my computer even though this is a pre existing issue. She told me not to worry about it and that I was all good to go. It was the long game but 700 dollars cheaper is something I could not pass up. 30 days pass and today I brought it in but was told to make a claim with Ausruion which I had forgot to do. This I do and after paying a service fee I file the claim. The claim was denied due to my screen being damaged before I brought the policy. That was the catch. After explaining to Asurion and getting transferred from supervisor to supervisor I reached a point where I told one supervisor the entire story and realized I had been misled by the lady on the first phone call about how the policy actually works. I then returned to the uBreakIFix and explained to them the whole debacle and how I was essentially lied to. Despite the sympathy they offered no true support for their employee's mistake. I asked if they could look at the call log to see who I talked to and solve the issue. I was told " I have a good idea as to who it was but I cannot" say which is of course understandable. However all they offered me for their employee's lie was 97 dollars off $850 dollars not including taxes. Nothing else nor honoring their employee's so called promise about prices. So I am right back where I started off a month ago. A still nonfunctional screen and hours spent on the phone trying to fix the chaos one person caused. I am not sure if the employees here get a commission or kickback for selling policies but that could be a possible reason I was misled. The reality is I was lied too and these kind of lies undermine the integrity and honesty that most of these other reviews contain about UbreakiFix. The fault does not lie in the entire business for the misleading information but fault does lie in the business for basically giving me a " oh well" about their employee's mistake here is $100 off a repair that will still be pushing close to the $800 mark. I am not looking for handouts or free repairs but I would of gladly paid the price I was told or even a little bit more. That is what I had prepared to pay. Yet here I am. Employee's represent the business and judging off this experience the customer service is lacking transparency and respect. However, Katie who helped me when I first arrived was very helpful and understanding and I understand the limits of her control. I still do not think it is fair at all how I was led astray. Had I know this was happening I could have been saving the past 30 days for the repair instead of waiting on what ended up being a fictional deal. I shattered my phone and came to this location to get it fixed. When they fixed it, at first I thought everything was fine, but almost immediately after I left the store I saw that there was LED leakage under the screen. I also discovered a week or two later that there was a large gap between the glass of the screen and the metal of the phone. At the slightest pressure in this area it caused my screen to crack again. When I took it back in for them to fix, they said it was all no mistake of theirs, and I had to rely on the warranty I bought for the screen to pay for my fix.
