So I was taking the part-time Data Analytics boot camp hosted by Trilogy Education for the past 6 months AND...I just graduated from it!! Yay!! Go me!! Hehe ANYWAYS, when I started this boot camp I thought maybe I'll learn and retain ALL the information. Though, I knew it would be very difficult because I came into this with NO CODING EXPERIENCE! This class is also fully virtual and I was probably the youngest one in the cohort since the majority of them looked like they were in their mid 30s-50s. NOTE: The instructor reminded us multiple times to expect many headaches, tears, frustrations, and the feeling of giving up and YES, I and many others in the cohort felt it all (~1/4 of the cohort dropped). Ok, so since this course is held fully virtually, that was something I was worried about. I actually ended up barely noticing it was an online class since it was LIVE and very INTERACTIVE where the instructor teaches and then everyone gets broken up into groups for classwork, and then we all come back together to discuss. Since I chose the part-time option, that meant there would be classes two days per week where each class was 2 hour sessions. Class was enjoyable and I ACTUALLY had fun and looked forward to attending class! We also had 5 TAs who held their own office hours for two hours on their chosen day (Friday-Sunday) or if you attend class 30 minutes early, they hold office hours there too. I attended office hours at least once a week and the TAs were very helpful. The instructor seemed to know his stuff when teaching during class, BUT sometimes he didn't know the answer to the questions we asked him. Not going to blame him though! This course is taught VERY FAST since it IS a boot camp. It's 24 weeks long, so each week is a new topic or language. Something which helped me complete all my weekly assignments was by starting the homework LITERALLY right after the Wednesday classes (my class sessions were Mondays and Wednesdays)! It's VERY important to form a study group in the beginning of the course because having a group helped me understand the material better (my study group was a group of 7 girls who met up weekly on Thursdays through Zoom). A perk from this boot camp is you can sign up for a tutor. I definitely knew I wanted a tutor! I mean...I might as well get all the help I can get and use all the resources and people available since this course ain't cheap! I don't know what I would have done without my tutor's help; she explained things well and sent me some resources. I also enjoyed the AskBCS service they have which is available throughout the majority of the day, BUT sometimes the person I got wasn't as helpful as others (several people in my cohort agreed with me on this). My class had about 44 students (the ones that didn't drop) and it was mixed with people of different education and career levels. For example, there were some people with a PhD, a Masters degree, and people with only a Bachelors degree. There were also people who already work in the industry as Senior positions. Knowing all of this was a little intimidating for me, but hey, it's great for networking! Oh and speaking of networking, this course comes with a "Career Services" section to help you become "employer competitive," but most of that doesn't start until the last month of the course. The career services was pretty much non-existent throughout the course and I wish I had more time with them. Would I recommend? I feel like I would recommend this boot camp to people who want a career change, BUT I would NOT recommend it to people who ONLY want to learn more of a specific language. The instructor only spent one week on most topics. I personally think one week is only enough to get the basics of a programming language. Even the instructor said we would have to review everything all over again AFTER the course! IF you do decide to take this bootcamp, then I would HIGHLY recommend having 2 or more monitors since that would make it less frustrating during the live online classes. I only had 1 monitor and got overwhelmed when the instructor was teaching too fast or when he was jumping from screen to screen, while others had 2-5 monitors. read more

I would write 0 stars if I could. I was accepted into a post-graduate program while completing a pre-req at UCBx. I had read some bad reviews, so decided it would make sense to speak with someone in the Science Admin department who might have some insight and reassurances. I reached out and was confidently told the professors for extension classes are professional, responsive, and my experience would be positive and maintain a cohesive extension of the elite reputation UCB has earned over the years. 2 weeks into the course, the professor went dark. This was an online course, so her role was to grade and comment and respond to emails and questions. Pretty light work... which clearly she did not have time for. I had to email the admin to ask them to contact the professor to grade my assignments so i could be sure I was grasping material and producing the level of work I expected of myself. Weeks went by before anything was graded. Despite this, I received short, enthusiastic, and reaffirming messages. At least I was doing work at the standard required for success. This pattern continued and I completed all course work including tests, quizzes, case studies, and essays with a very strong A. It was time to take the final, and it was a mess. Questions were posed regarding non-existent drugs (or drugs so poorly spelled they could not be identified). Other questions were contradictory, or unintelligible. The format was such that you had to click through each page to get to the next question, but the time limit was so limiting that any strategy of working back through the test to answer short answer questions worth more points first was moot. In the end, i finished 42 of 47 questions. Had the 42 points alone been graded I would have received a B. Fine. The last 5 questions however, were worth about 20% of the entire test, but the ridiculous time limit made it impossible to click through 50 pages of questions and explanations, and then click back through unfinished questions. Suddenly, my B became a C. A C grade on the final, as stipulated in the syllabus, will fail you out of the entire class. I immediately emailed the professor after the test requesting a conversation. No response. I waited 24 hours. Emailed her again. No response. I emailed admin. They replied with a generic cut and paste answer as to how to check my grade online. This is educational dysfunction at its finest. I concurrently took another pre-req at UCSDx (scheduling conflicts required I take one at each place). I had a wonderful experience with a responsive professor and walked away with an A. Im a 3.9 student who simply does not randomly fail tests, let alone finals. I have 3 days to provide a deposit and letter of intent to my new program, but cant do so unless i get some assurance I wont be failed from this class because of an absolutely disastrous test strategy and an unresponsive apathetic professor and entire admin department of UCBx. READ BEFORE TAKING A COURSE WITH UC BERKELEY. I'd like to provide some candid feedback about an extremely negative experience with UC Berkeley Extension, in the hope that others might think twice before taking a course here. The course I took suffered from 2 major problems: 1. The online class component of the course was non-existent: The UC Berkeley Extension Zoom account didn't work and so students couldn't access the online classes 2. The written components of the course (quizzes, writing assignment instructions, etc.) were riddled with typos and confusingly written sentences that made assignments nearly impossible to complete. The average across the class for the first quiz was a D-/F, not because the content was difficult, but because questions were so hard to interpret and so bizarrely written I promptly dropped the course and sent 15 screenshots of errors and issues in the course to the UC Berkeley Extension administration, in the hope that they might be able to take the feedback on board and improve the offering moving forward. Professionalism is key in this context and the course was devoid of it. UC Berkeley Extension administration seem completely uninterested in receiving feedback and improving the course. Moreover, they are contesting my refund request, despite the truly awful experience with all documentation provided. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere for online courses. I'm taking classes toward my PMP certification at UCBX. My first few classes were great, I had no complaints about my instructors, the course load, and the course materials were very relevant to my day to day tasks as a producer at a publishing company. That is, however, until I took Project Scope & Quality Management with Catherine Pinkas. The section I enrolled in was a condensed 8-hour per week class that met for 5 weeks. Catherine spent the first hour of each class lecturing on global warming -- in a class on PROJECT QUALITY MANAGEMENT. I don't feel this was a productive use of class time and frankly not an appropriate discussion in what should be an apolitical learning environment. My second issue was with Catherine's teaching style. She does not facilitate discussion despite assigning weekly readings. She seemed relatively annoyed when I asked questions or needed further clarification. When we weren't working as a group Catherine would have us watch out-of-date videos on quality management. With the abundance of online resources on sites such as Lynda.com, among others, there is no reason we should be watching videos from the 1980s. Lastly, despite her hours-long diatribes on the evils of global warming Catherine refused to accept assignments via email and instead required we print every assignment, which included a 40-page project plan. Several years ago, I learned about UC Berkeley Extension offerings and took the plunge -- I signed up for the Project Management certificate program which I finished last year. For both online and in person courses -- I found the instructors to be knowledgeable, interesting and well organized. There was only one exception -- and I found the administration willing to engage in discussion about my concerns and feedback in a way that made me feel good about pursuing courses in other areas. This year, I took a course called "Managing Change and Ambiguity in the Workplace" with Anna Ewins -- and though it was a short class (two full Saturdays) -- it was inspiring and challenging, providing a combination of neuroscience, organizational psychology and guidelines for practical use. I was hooked -- have signed up for more courses in pursuit of the Leadership Certificate. I highly recommend the very intense and rewarding course with Noel Sy-Quia, "Power and Influence in the Workplace." I've also enjoyed the very practical, hands-on courses in communication with Arielle Schram and negotiation with Elie Asmar. The course with Karen Haley Allen on "Effective Leadership & Management" provided a thorough review of theory and case studies related to leadership, human behavior and management. I'm excited for my upcoming courses with JP Novin on "Essentials of Management" which promises to cover much different territory than Karen's course, as well as an in-depth mediation course that starts next month. All of these courses have provided me with a group of peers who are motivated to improve their skills and who are engaged, thoughtful and present. Some of the courses rely heavily on group assignments which is a great way to learn about other people's points of view, habits and working styles in a safe environment. This is not something that you can normally find within your typical professional environment: people are focused more on the work itself, not sharing ideas they are picking up from books by sociologists, neuroscientists and business leaders. It's several steps up from "book club" -- and I have found great value in these courses by putting in quite a lot of time into reading and developing my own ideas. read more

I am taking the Business Administration course through UC Berkeley Extension to develop my management techniques and further my career. The extension program offers courses online, which was necessary considering my courses started in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. While I was a bit skeptical about online learning, but I found all of my professors to be well educated and extremely helpful throughout the process. To date, the classes I have enjoyed most are Organization and Management and Essentials of Management, which compliment each other when taken together. I highly recommend taking Essentials of Management. Professor JP Novin provides great real-life examples of the challenges managers face in day-to-day operations and engages classmates through live Zoom classes and group activities. Additionally, I appreciate the professors efforts to tailor the class to the participants so everyone can get the most out of it. read more

I enrolled in the Business Administration certificate program which consisted of 6 required courses and 1 elective. The instructors that I had were all talented working professionals, in some cases retired, with a passion to share their knowledge and experience. I would definitely recommend taking the in-person classes, because they are more fun and you would get to interact with your fellow peers. I really enjoyed taking all the classes, especially Applied Economics, Corporate Finance, Managerial Accounting and Essentials of Management. I would definitely recommend Essentials of Management to anyone who is looking to get better at managing people. I'm not happy with this place at all. I saw a LinkedIn ad regarding a boot camp for computer programming. I clicked on the link and scheduled an appointment. I received 4 confirmation messages from them, yes 4. The date and time of the appointment was clearly provided. On the day of the appointment, I didn't receive a phone call. I waited 2 hours, and decided to send an email asking where they were. I didn't receive a reply. I waited 3 more hours and initiated a chat with someone online. The person I chatted with, didn't apologize and didn't seem to care that they missed the appointment. He didn't attempt to reschedule or get someone to contact me to discuss my potential enrollment. Apparently my time isn't important to them and for that reason, I'm not going to proceed with this school any further. I was prepared to pay the entire course up front in cash. I will look into other boot camp courses because this school doesn't seem to care. read more

I take the online courses that only require a proctored in-person final exam for many of their accounting classes. The facility is definitely outdated, but I only use the proctoring room so it doesn't really affect online course takers. The process of arriving at 9AM on Saturday mornings and taking the exam is pretty smooth, they have everything prepared and the space that you take the exam is quiet. Calling and scheduling an appointment is a hassle though, they rarely pick up the phone and when you leave a message to schedule an exam they usually they don't call back to confirm, some 5 or so days later I'll get a confirmation email for my appointment without any other sort of contact from them . But, if you take classes in SF, this is the only location that offers weekend final examination slots. If I were to rate the online classes in the accounting department though.... 5 stars no problem. The professors are incredibly talented and willing to help. The courses are easy to manage and very well suited for anyone looking to pursue their CPA. read more

UCB Extension sucks and is a scam! I'm a UC Berkeley student in Chemical Engineering, and even I failed a couple of online courses here because it was ran so badly. No instructional support, no help, final exams are unfair and designed to fail you. Do not be fooled by the UC Berkeley name, it is completely unrelated and a cash cow. The professors are so freaking bad, and don't set you up for success. Do yourself a favor and enroll in a bootcamp (for coding) or community college classes, which are like 20 times cheaper. Took an online course and the quality is really lackluster for the price. Several friends took other online courses the same time I did and experienced the same sentiment. The online courses simply make you read the textbook, do some homework, and take quizzes/exams. There is little in the way of lecture material and providing guidance. The instructors were chronically late in responding to emails and grading the assignments (didn't help that the automated grading had many errors). If your goal is to simply take 'advanced' courses for grad school applications, this route may work for you but don't expect too much... If you want to pad your resume or change careers with a certificate, I'm sure you can find better alternatives for less. If you want to keep learning, move on and buy a textbook without the exorbitant price. read more

After two and a half years, I am wrapping up my coursework for the Professional Certificate of Business Administration. Overall, the program has been amazing. It's perfect for someone who's career was in another area (software engineering, in my case) and who has moved into a management focused role. There are so many aspects to business that you absolutely must understand once you move past line management. This course gave me the information I needed to feel comfortable working with my executive team. There were a number of classes I really enjoyed, especially my final three. Managerial Accounting and Corporate Finance opened my eyes to the "why" of financial decisions. My last class, Essentials of Management with JP Novin, was by far the best. Instead of being dry and academic, we discussed real-world challenges that I personally face every day. JP was an excellent, engaged instructor who worked hard in each class to make sure that everyone was participating and getting something out of it. read more

I don't want to start from beginning as other students already described that process pretty well. I took Full Stack Web Development course for 6 months. I was paying 1600$ a month and 2500$ upfront payment. Classes were three times a week. First 2 months went pretty well. They explained js, html and css. After we started jumping from one module to another yet nobody could understand them. There are group projects which supposed to help you to get along with people and learn working in a team. But how are you going to work when only 10-15% class were catching up with instructor. After 4 months our instructor started drinking on fridays and missing saturday classes. He missed 4 classes and TA 's were not that professional to be able to explain the topics. I personally was doing uber and paying 1600 a month. Working 68 hours a week and going to classes. You couldn't imagine my face everytime I would make it class on Saturday morning after long uber driving night and see how Instructor isn't in class again. When it happened 4th time - I lost all motivation and quit going to classes. I thought I will be remote at least to save time for myself. But remote classes were very low quality and most of the times translation was going off as it was unpaid subscription. School also supposed to have a Student Success Manager and within 2 months 3 different people came to class and represented themself as SSM and left. Honestly I never seen any of them again. So we didn't have SSM for the time we studied there. Also they promised to help with job search ---- Zero Help! After the course I talked to one of the directors in school and explained him everything. I explained him how much I worked to pay for school and what we were getting in the class. I didn't pay for 1 months of school and they still haven't give me my Certification because of that. Even if I gained all necessary points to finish school. Yet a year passed since I finished school and NONE of my classmate found a job. (30 people) read more

Took Calculus 2 Online here. The course itself in terms of lecture format, delivery of instructional video could definitely be improved upon. But thankfully youtube has so some wonderful Calculus resources and individuals who seem to have experiences teaching the subject that it isn't difficult to achieve an A in the course. Being a little older and having to pay for my education right out of my own pocket I am much more demanding from instructors even one's conducting online self-paced courses who usually act more like course guides than teachers. Professor Steve Pon was always available, quickly responsive and helpful whenever answering my questions. I have taken over 5 online courses for college credit and can certainly attest to the reason the course survives is primarily because Steve Pon is willing to assist as long as you make the effort and engage as an active learner. All in all a great self-paced course just make sure to be serious and willing to do the work. read more

Somebody from Berkeley University has to hear us. I have been taking Berkeley Extension classes. One of teacher ( Photoshop ) was amazing. But other teacher for Illustrator Abigail She was the worst teacher I haven't see. She was very rude, she was insulted me and humiliated in the class, she never helps for anything and she never answer for any questions. When I have a question about Illustrator , she suggested me to fix with Photoshop. after third class, I asked to Ivan Trujillo and department to change my classes. They took 5 weeks to tell me ' they cant because university policy ...They talked with teacher and teacher got very upset and went the class and she said "SOMEONE COMPLAINED ABOUT ME ..." As I understood , their philosophy " PAY AND TAKE THE CLASSES SHUT UP and NO REFUND NO SWITCH CLASSES , you MUST take what we give you. YOU HAVE NO RIGHT NO FREEDOM AS A STUDENTS. I AM STILL SHOCKED, I cant believe I just wanted to get an education and learned something ,I even moved my apartment to be closer to Berkeley Extension. All I have done to get education. I recently took two online courses through UC Berkeley Extension. I have never taken a course as ill-conceived as the "General Human Anatomy" course. Unhelpful laundry-list lectures, endless worksheets, and robotic, copy-paste feedback on the written assignments made this a thoroughly unenjoyable learning experience for me. Despite being advertised as an introductory, entry-level anatomy course, the assessments tested me on mostly obscure details rather than testing my knowledge of the major topics of anatomy. I'm not one to complain about a challenging course, but the regional exams and the final exam did not correspond with the difficulty of an introductory course. By far the most ridiculous part of this course was the grading policy regarding the final exam, which requires a grade of at least 70% in order to pass the course overall! This is a policy I have never heard of before, and I was not made aware of this policy until after paying for and enrolling in this course. I could understand maybe requiring a grade of 60% or better on the final, but requiring a 'C' grade or better on one test, when all of my other work received an 'A' or 'B', is pretty stupid. Because of this policy, I failed this course by about 16 questions on a test of over 200 questions. This all-or-nothing policy is not the right way to do education. It might have been acceptable if the final was the same difficulty as the regional exams, but I found it to be a lot more difficult and specific. These tests were not a good measure of my knowledge of "General Human Anatomy", and this course overall was a waste of my time and money. This Human Physiology course was not as bad as "General Human Anatomy". However, it was still not an enjoyable learning experience. Sometimes I felt that my answers were graded based on their length rather than their content. In fact, all of the instructor feedback was robotic and obviously copied and pasted for each assignment. This course was not cheap, and I expected more, to say the least. One thing I forgot to mention about the other course, "General Human Anatomy": I discovered that the majority of students did not make a high enough grade on the final exam to pass the class. If the majority of students fail, the problem is not with the students; the problem is with the course itself. I regret the time and money I invested in these courses. read more

Organic Chemistry Nightmare! I had to take a non-lab Organic Chem class for my degree, and chose this because of the ease of schedule (finish in less than 6 months, online). The Berkeley reputation gave me the impression that the course would be well-taught and thorough. I was wrong. The instructor (Weiwei Gu) was completely disengaged. An example: I asked how a certain chemical reaction occurred, and her answer was: "It just does". Now, I don't know about you, but that's not helpful to me. She is supposed to write responses to discussion posts, and she (presumably accidentally) copied and pasted the same exact answer onto two of mine. I wonder if we all received the same responses. Common sense would dictate that you should receive your grade from one chapter exam before moving on to the next, to be sure you understand the material. I did this for the first half of the course, but she took SO long to get exam grades back (wrong answers with zero explanation, and questions were brushed over or remained unanswered), I forgot what the chapter focused on by the time I received my grade. The book is decent, but she only tests on certain parts of the book, so before you read the chapters, go through her chapter notes and you will see what to focus on. Scrap the rest. You won't need it. I made the mistake of studying everything, and wasted countless hours. Khan Academy got me through most of the class. There are other lectures on YouTube that will help a lot, too. Your final is worth 40% of your grade and covers nearly the entire book. If you receive less than 70%, you fail the whole course, no matter what your other grades are. As I said, go through her notes and focus on the points she makes. ALL questions on the midterm and final are near-replicas of what are on the chapter exams. The final is proctored and closed-book, and a basic calculator is allowed (I didn't use mine). I ended up with an A- in the course, which made me happy. It was not due to the instructor at ALL. It was due to my countless hours scouring Khan Academy, YouTube, and the great O-Chem websites out there. If I had it to do over again, I'd take it from a JC or Uni, in person. I would definitely NOT recommend this course with this instructor. read more

I'm a UCB Alum and I give this 1 star review not out of hatred but out of hope that UCBX will be able to take all the negative feedbacks from reviewers here and provide positive changes that is sorely needed by the programs. Without going to much details, I have tried to take 4 separate classes at UCBX, each time I am always disappointed by the quality of the class, instruction, and care. Every class overpromises on what they would teach you, and if you are seriously trying to learn, this is not the place to go. Please save your time, money, and energy and go else where. Like many others, I was sold on the reputation of Berkeley being one of the leading universities in California...I graduated from a prestigious UC in Southern California and I expected nothing less from Berkeley. I was wrong with my decision. I took Advanced Accounting online there and the instructor Gary Bong was COMPLETELY disengaged with whatsoever. The instructor did not respond to my emails (I also contacted other students, and confirmed of the same thing) and even when he did, he was about two weeks late in providing a response. When I asked him a question about a concept, he would restate the question and ask me to read the textbook. At one point, I had to make a telephone call to UC Berkeley Extension office and talk to the program representative to see what was happening. The person contacted the professor and about a week later he was responsive...for a while. Okay, the class now, we cramped through four chapters in the last week of the course. The course was very poorly structured. Along with a non-responsive instructor, the students had a stressful and difficult time to gauge the final exam, which you have to pass in order to pass the class. Having studied at Cal, UC Extension does not represent or reflect UC Berkeley at all. Having taken several courses there, the instructors are hit or miss, front office is disorganized and staff bureaucratic. Their tuition is over-priced per unit of education credit, so beware of fine print and refund policies. Staff is not helpful and passes the buck when confronted with helping students. read more

This was the worst decision I have ever made. Any institution that recommends this program should reconsider UCBX altogether. I took a Biochemistry class with WeiWei Gu and all I can say is that it was a HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Wei only graded our assignments, wrote generic comments, gave us the timed "midterm," and had me find a proctor to administer the final exam. This was a total waste of money and the grading was not what I had expected. The class was not at all cohesive. I tried using ratemyprofessor for her but it didn't work. I took three courses from Berkeley extension, two bio classes with labs and one genetics. Of the five instructors, only three had ever taught before. The genetics instructor did not have a PhD or lecturing experience. The class was so bad that over 50% of the class eventually dropped and they were not refunded their fees. At one point I had to point out that the instructors grading scheme made it impossible for anyone to get above a B+ at just a 1/3 of the way through the course. He eventually just asked for our previous work back and added points to all the exams. The real problem here is that the students reported all of this to the administration and they did nothing. Even after a number of us recounted how a different professor spent 30 minutes yelling and swearing at the class, they did nothing. It seems they do the bare minimum, hire someone no matter how unqualified, insert them into a classroom without training, and hope for the best. If you need the credits and have no other choice, go for it. If you can avoid this, I recommend you do. read more

Wow! I can't describe how bad this specific anatomy teacher has been this summer. I have taken an anatomy course, summer time (shorter), so I know it'll already be harder , then this teacher made it impossible! She just read 4-5 chapters out of a ppt ea class n told us to go home n memorize it! R u seriuos?- Absolutely 0 learning environment for this specific class. I have to retake it from someone who knows how to teach anatomy! Admin staff absolutely not helpful n refunds..etc take months if n after you are 'approved' for it! UC Extension classes are expensive n I feel like It wd have been better if I gave that money away for a cause then going through such terrible class n getting nothing out of it! There are other anatomy teachers that are good, so I've heard but if you are about to sign up for Asya Assyed's class, DONT! read more

I took 10 classes to complete my Business Administration Certificate in 2015. There are really good classes with very helpful and expert instructors. On the other hand, they have some useless classes that are out of date and not well designed. You need to research for the instructors very carefully to get much more from it. I would definitely recommend following classes and instructors!! I loved my Fiction Writing class. Practical exercises, smart and friendly classmates from many countries - and a very helpful professor. My impression is that that classes at Extension are applied and useful rather than theoretical like in some PhD program. So if you're looking to "do" rather than to research, this can be a good place. I plan to take more writing classes and also more computer programming courses here. read more

First of all, don't bother with the front desk at their office. Why they hired people to actually help people is beyond me. If you have a dying question you need to ask and you can't find the answer online: call. Second, the whole login system is sort of ambiguous. The username is crazy, and it does take time to learn. If you are enrolling for the first time, definitely spend some time playing around with the site before actually enrolling. read more

I took the Essential of Management with JP and I learned a lot of different concepts applicable to real life. I definitely recommend to take these classes if you need your first Business skills. JP is a great advisor and he is able to correlate the course with examples in the real life. Take it! read more

UC Berkeley Extension has been good to me. I found the Paralegal Program they offer here and it's been awesome. Enrolling was super easy online, it's instant, no problems and my receipts were mailed right quick! The staff whom I called a dozen times about specifics were very friendly and helpful as well. The building itself (2nd floor) is clean, up kept, has a parking garage below, right across from a cafe (COFFEE!) and is just a nice environment. I've found the teachers informative, nice and helpful. I found the course work up to standards, interesting and informative. I've been to both the locations in SF and Berkeley, everything is just great. I will be trying out the Redwood City location and I'm sure I'll be happy as well. I would glowingly recommend their classes, staff and facilities. read more
