Convenient. As much as Bachelor's scores matter and show some level of knowledge, the true knowledge is not shown just through a piece of paper; therefore, I do feel my 11 years of professional experience (without the need of the piece of paper) have not been given the value they deserved. Perhaps someone with 0 experience in the real world but with some higher marks will be more suitable! I have worked in the financial environment for quite some time now and my journey will continue, progress and get where it needs to be with or without a Masters at your university or another. I have endured a lot more in my life and never given up. £75 would have not made me richer, hence the reason why I do not regret paying them. As an organization, it is incompetent; they deliver a sub-standard educational experience. The staff goes on strike every year. It takes the administration 6 months to do something I can complete in an hour. They deliver fewer contact hours with professors than any other school I have attended. The only positive is that it is a cheap and easy place to get a degree in London. If you want a top tier educational experience, go to LSE or a school in the US. The university's staff and structure literally put more time into hindering any educational experience than trying to deliver a world-class experience. If there were a high school, I would disenroll my kids.

My professor for sociology of subcultures was the foremost biographer (and friend) of Vivienne Westwood/Kate Moss/Malcolm McLaren, etc..; professor for social analysis of modern Britain was an EU consultant that would visit candidate memberstates to analyze the economic parabola to see if their country would be able to match the joining criteria, and also taught at LSE... they really got some good people to sign on. I wish I could say the same for the school I'm doing my MA at!!!! The only negative I had with them, was the cafeteria food, and anyone that's been to Richmond can attest to this... (pasta with vegetarian sauce will give you nightmares), but you're in an area with endless restaurants so just eat out! They did a really good job of organizing subsidized activities for the students to do, so daytrips and things in the city would be fairly affordable to those attending. I'd recommend AIFS/ Richmond in a heartbeat. Was a bit pricey, but well worth the experience.

What I love about this school is its diversity. When you hear that US business schools are diverse, they truly already are. But LBS is one a whole different level. When they say diverse, almost every class has one nationality of different country. It is amazing to experience that and the exciting discussion coming out of this group. The school administrators are also very friendly and helpful. I think the school is located in one of the most expensive areas in London, and thus it is considerably expensive to have a campus right here. But still, they offer all necessary facilities including gyms to the students. Highly recommend a visit and exchange if possible!

It definitely is a dream school for thousands of aspiring corporates. The building is old school but has a modest charm about it, which is just what LBS is all about. When you go in you can see young men and women dressed in suits and walking around casually and you know that they are all going to be top notch corporates once they pass out! They are known to have some of the best conferences some of which are open to the general public as well (keep an eye on their website to find out more). Having said that LBS students are not all work because they have some great festivals and amazing parties (I have attended one of them). The Nash cafe inside LBS is really nice and cozy and less serious than the rest of the school where you can see these hardworking people unwind finally!

In the front is a space that is used for shows by alumni of the college and the college itself is contained to three buildings joined by corridors and bridges. It's a nice place to be and work, although the current SU bar is just a bar at the back of the canteen, there's nothing to really distinguish it as a bar. No nights or music goes on here as of yet, but there may well be in the future once the bar facilities are sorted out.

For those of you who don't know, this is the old three lens projector that the Victorians used to view moving images and 3D images. It was also a free event. I went along for this talk by these very enthusiastic chaps and was completely suprised by the wonders the building held. Firstly, it was such a grand building and secondly the talk was fascinating, eye opening even! If you ever get the chance, go here for a free talk, its a great way to spend an evening.

Elevator situation could be improved, but hey can't complain; they're functional. Had to knock off a star for the lack of floor lounges in the dorms and the hospital lights in the kitchen and hallways. Kitchen doubles as a sauna so that's nice if you're into it. Oven may be difficult to use if you're uneducated (cough A m e r i c a n cough). Be wary of sock thieves, I'm pretty sure one of the students living in 16B had a sock fetish of some sort and was on the prowl. Laundry was slightly on the expensive end but it was a fun adventure hauling clothes to the basement. Rooms were.. mmmmm.. ..cozy. Yeah, cozy. Bathrooms are genuine recycled British Airways 747 bathrooms with a shower for smurfs added in. Never knew they recycled airplane bathrooms! So neat! No fan, but we love steam rooms. Water wasn't potable and possibly damaged some skin and hair cells but we love overcompensating by spending more on skin and hair care (because treat yoself!!). All in all, 3/5 for my first week here. Cheers! Oh yes and don't forget that the university takes safety as a priority! Get ready for some toned legs and a heightened anxiety of fire alarms. They really challenge you mentally and physically here. Yes!
