I can't say enough positive things about Dr. Cecil Ashby and his practice! Not meaning to sound…read moremelodramatic, but Dr. Ashby's treatment has changed my life. I've had serious lower back and hip issues (after a bad injury), as well as neck and shoulder problems (pain, stiffness, pinched nerves) for years. After recently moving to the area, I was referred to Dr. Ashby by several new neighbors. And I am so glad I was! Dr. Ashby is extremely professional and knowledgeable. He is probably the gentlest chiropractor I've ever seen. But the results are remarkable. I can walk better, faster, and with less effort than I have in years. I''m now walking 1+ miles (no big deal, I know - but it used to be!) with almost no pain in my hip and lower back. And because my flexibility is so much better, I'm walking faster and with less effort. I can actually exercise again. Before seeing Dr. Ashby I could make it about 100 yards before I had to stop, because I was in intense pain. AMAZING! And my neck and shoulder issues have improved, too. Now my wife is seeing him (she has also had long-term lower back issues) and is seeing big improvement after just a few visits. On top of that, Dr. Ashby is very nice man - incredibly kind, friendly, and supportive. His staff (I've met Chris and Deirdra) are just as warm and friendly. And the office and exam rooms are great. Plus, once you're a patient, no appointment necessary. Just walk in. I cannot recommend Dr. Ashby and his practice highly enough! If you need a chiropractor, you should seriously consider him.

Dr. Ashby has been the greatest doctor we have ever encountered. First and foremost, he is not jaded. He is a happy person. He greets every patient with sincere warmth and attention. He takes his time to help you. He is obviously insightful, deducing from cues from our posture where to focus and what to adjust. You can walk into an appointment intending to tell him about a shoulder or hip pain, and before you can point it out, he is already there fixing the issue. His office is so well-run and spotless. His staff is so kind and efficient. The effort to make his patients feel welcome and comfortable is so evident. Even though I didn't get to see the Dr., I still felt it was important to write this review as a physician's office staff is also greatly important to a patient's care. I called on Monday to try and make an appointment. I followed the prompts for a new patient wanting to make an appointment and left a message, giving them the information they wanted and a short history of my symptoms and medical history. By late morning Wednesday, I had not heard back yet and decided to call again repeating the same scenario. By Friday morning I still had not heard back from the office. I called again and chose a different prompt so I could speak with someone. I was very courteous; I understand that offices can get busy, maybe the scheduler had been sick or on vacation, etc. After sharing with the woman who answered the phone that I was wanting to make an appointment but hadn't been able to, she asked to put me on hold. 5 mins later, another woman answered and asked how she could help. I shared the name of the woman who was already helping me and she said, I know, she asked me to help you. So, I asked her if I could make an appointment. She said she couldn't do that, but took my last name and let me know that the scheduler would get back to me. She didn't know when that would be and we ended the call. 5.5 hours later I finally got a call from the scheduler only for her to say that they don't see patients who have previously been in a car accident. I thought maybe she confused me with someone else. I was not in a recent accident, there was no lawsuit or workman's comp case so I shared again that it was a closed thing and it happened over 4 years ago. She repeated, "it's our office policy that we don't see patients who have been in any car accident no matter when." When I said "OK. Do you mind me asking why? I've just never heard of this." She said "sure, it's just our policy." She had this information for a week. A week longer I now have to wait to seek treatment. I'm most frustrated with how discourteous they were and unapologetic for their lack of care and waste of my time and efforts. I'm also dumbfounded on this policy of not treating patients who have, at one point in their medical history, been in a car accident. It's not a recent injury with possibility of lawsuit or workman's comp, so what do they care? I would bet that a good majority of their clients have a physical trauma of some sort in their patient history. This boarders on discrimination and speaks volumes of this office to me and the care I am seeking. I'm happy to take my business elsewhere.
