If you thought these folks were just for farmers, think again. There's plenty of help for your home landscape and garden available as well. Way more competent and helpful than County Agent Hank Kimball on Green Acres. :-) They do soil testing for all. You can call with your questions anytime during business hours. The phones are manned by Master Gardeners with amazing resources to answer any questions you may have about plant pests, plant diseases, fertilizing, etc. if you can think of it they can answer it. Their Master Gardener program will teach you to be an expert and is a great volunteer opportunity for those interested in gardening. Twice a year they have a hugely popular open house with information booths, tours of their demonstration garden maintained by the Master Gardeners and an awesome plant sale with great prices. The pandemic has put the kibosh on this for now but they have pivoted to zoom events with coordinated plant themes that you can purchase. read more
