I used to love The Fix. Huge fan of their cause - but lately the store is different. Prices have gone up so much that it's no longer a casual impulse purchase location. A few of their regular employees are no longer there and the ones who are there are not friendly. Thrifting is a fun hobby - almost like a treasure hunt, but whoever is pricing the items in the store have priced out of the thrift store range and more into boutique level shopping. I will still support them and their mission, but their changes have discouraged me from being a weekly browser. read more

Yelp is always one's person experience. I love animals and Spay/Neuter free vouchers are important. This store took note. Pricing updated. Plus, it's grown into a wonderful community. My last time was $50 for my size in $5 women's pieces. My advisor was French and knew her fashion. Support local! The shop is being careful re Covid. Maybe call first? I visited this delightful thrift store for the first time today. They have a great selection of items, and everything was beautifully displayed. Although I only found a book today, this is a store that seems to hold a lot of promise. I would say their strong suit is household items. If you are only looking for clothes, you may be disappointed in their small selection. The prices were quite reasonable, and they discount 50% one color each week. So the saga begins: A stray kitten wandered into my life a month ago and just 'took over'. Any pet owner knows that humans don't own cats, cat's just put up with you! Okay, that's out of my system LOL. The Fix Thrift Shop provides deeply discounted Spay and Neuter vouchers redeemable at several Tallahassee area veterinarians offices. The thrift shop uses money from donated household items along with monetary donations to provide the vouchers as a public service. The spay and neuter vouchers are only available during certain days and hours: Tuesday & Thursday 11am-1pm and on Saturday from 12pm-3pm. They cover dogs, cats and ferrets! You then have to contact a veterinarian to schedule your pet's sterilization. The Fix Thrift Shop actually has really good bargains and a fairly diverse inventory of which the proceeds go directly to fund their core mission of less animal euthanizations. What a great cause. And of course they graciously accept household item donations and/or monetary donations. My date of visit was 9/14/2019. read more

I have a cat rescue with 16 cats. I could not afford to get them fixed without the help of Be the Solution. They're really kind and helpful and professional. I have both donated and bought items in this thrift store. It is enjoyable to support such a worthy cause. read more
