They hired people (mainly males) that made me and multiple other children feel uncomfortable, so I do believe they do not look into who their staff may really be. I was also groomed I'd prefer to not get into details but there was a much much older child who I now realized actually groomed me and my friends and was extremely inappropriate with us. Not to mention later on he was not even allowed in the restroom unsupervised because he had apparently asked multiple extremely young boys if he could suck them off.Now that me and my friends from there look back we realize that we were put in a unsafe environment. Not to mention the owners aren't exactly the best. In summary it was a good place but no longer is. I would not recommend sending your child and putting them through the same hell we went through. When I look back on the memories truth be told I am frustrated that the establishment was let go and that they allow things like what I've stated to happen. I hated that place and will never go back. P.S. You may notice there are many 5 star reviews well one thing to take notice of is that all of the good reviews are from a long time ago because as I states before this place is much different now than it was then.

Unfortunately, her coach was unable to make it at the last minute. Wanting to ensure she had support, I reached out to several Renzo Gracie academies in the Houston area that were attending the tournament. Only one responded--Professor Joe Murphy, the owner of Renzo Gracie Pearland. Despite having multiple students competing at the same time, Professor Joe assured me he would do his best to coach her or find someone who could. He even shared his number so we could connect at the event. True to his word, he made time to meet with us before her match, offering valuable advice for her first tournament. When it was time for her matches, he rushed over between coaching his own students to be in her corner. Although she didn't win her matches (no fault of his, as I could hear his great coaching), what stood out most was the way he supported her afterward. He provided positive feedback, helped her process the experience, and most importantly, made sure she kept her head up. BJJ tournaments can be intimidating, especially for an 8-year-old, and his presence turned what could have been a discouraging experience into a positive one. Thank you, Professor Joe! I recently began tagging along with my friend since he has unlimited guest passes with his membership. I very much appreciate him for letting me freeload during my last several weeks in Pearland but man, I'm happy to start going to another gym now. To be fair, this gym has most of the essential weightlifting equipment. The only thing I couldn't find was a hip thrust machine. However, so many of the machines felt subpar to use. Take the hip abductor and adductor machines for example. It's missing handles to hold on for stability, the seat was too short and I nearly slipped off, and the leg pads are placed way before most people's knees. The leg extension felt similarly awkward to use; it doesn't follow the natural range of motion at the knee hinge. The seated hamstring curl doesn't have a knee rest, the rear delt machine handles are a little unstable... you get the idea. This review could still have skirted by with 3 stars if it weren't for the poor sanitation. The men's restroom near the pool looks and smells disgusting. I initially figured it was just a wet floor from the nearby showers, but the wetness concentrated near the toilets and reeked of urine. In addition, the lifting areas need more cleaning stations. The ones that do exist only have paper towels and hand sanitizer, but no wet wipes. The most comical part of 24 Hour has to be that it's not even open all the time. It only provides 24 hour access from Tuesday through Thursday. Mondays are open 5AM-midnight, Fridays midnight to 9pm, and weekends 6AM-8PM. That only leaves the swimming pool and basketball court as the gym's saving graces since many gyms in Pearland have neither. A membership might suit those amenities well, but for weightlifters? Pack it up and find another gym.

There are plenty of partitions and a pavilion area for events as well as my favorite-a doggie park! Not because I have a dog, but when people bring their furry loved ones to the park they have their own area to run and play-giving walkers and joggers like me some space to exercise. Additionally, this park has a small and big dog park. And not to make anyone confused about the definition of small and big, they put the weight requirement on the signage to each park. You know that this a dog friendly park based on all the doggie doo receptacles all around the park too. Did not spot not a ONE pile of doggie doo on my walk. Thank you dog parents for being kind and not leaving doggie doo behind! For human parents, you can come to this park and not have to worry about bad weather delaying your plans to take your child to the park since the playground area is covered. Many parents even bring chairs and sit around the playground area to watch their children play and protected from some of the elements. If you look closer by the events doorway there is a book depot for people to leave books and take books. I love seeing these in communities because it not only supports the importance of reading but creates a sense of community. For a quick walk before running some errands or to let your kids play (human and furry) this is a nice park to visit anytime of the year.
