It's been a long time since I've been to ufs, but a friend of mine recently bought a couch here and it was the same exact one that I had bought from Ashley furniture. I wanted to stop in and take a look to see what else they had available. The store has definitely changed since the last time I was here, I love how there's so many different varieties of household items in the store and for pretty decent prices too. You could definitely spend some time here looking around to see what kind of products they have. The furniture was definitely nice, it was the first time I'd ever seen a sherpa couch, I loved it! I was more so on a time crunch when I stopped by but I'll be sure to stop by again soon to take a more detailed look! read more

If you are an old UFS shopper. You may be very disappointed with the new style of the store. A lot of liquor ( with great prices) back 1/3 of store furniture /appliances and the sm area left is the aisles of merch. All very organized and faced. Nothing unique or 1 off items. No holiday gift bags etc Approximately 10 handbags no jewelry displays. I felt like I was shopping a UFS that is trying to reinvent itself. I wish them lots of luck they are a great group of employees who have been with this store a long time. So drop the merch and refocus on only alcohol and furniture. read more

We needed new carpet throughout the house. Called and first talked with Mike, who was extremely helpful but wanted to get another estimate from a different company who was running a special. Turns out UFS still had the better price! The next week I spoke with Dynal who went above and beyond in customer service!!! The worst racist piece of crap store. Don't go here. The delivery drivers will fight with you and so will the owner they made a mistake in my order and refused to give me a refund. They told me 4 weeks for my bed. It ended up 12 weeks. Called 4 times, they gave me the run around. Lie to me, emded up at the store. Told me they were giving me a better bed after all the trouble, different stand thats all nothing else. Didn't offer me anything for all the trouble. This is something of a miniature Costco. Their liquor and beer prices and selection, in particular, are quite bragable. There is nothing quite like filling up a shopping cart with booze. Not beer, booze. I suggest you try it at least once. No doubt you've seen people do this before and wondered, "those poor alcoholics". But they know the secret, and they're silently laughing at your single bottle and your surely incomplete sense of being. I sought to deplete their bountiful selections and failed. I did stock up on gin, bourbon, and rye, though. And I saved a fistful of dough. I walked out of the store feeling like W.C. Fields*, and when I drove back to Chicago with my haul, I felt like an old bootlegging Capone.** You can call me Al.*** *Shortly after the Japanese struck Pearl Harbor, Fields brought a hand truck to a liquor store and bought 6 cases of gin. When a friend saw him returning, he asked why he bought 6 cases. Gotta say, there are some pretty sweet deals here. I would say more home furniture vs. apartment furniture. It all seemed pretty bulky for renters who move around through small spaces. The outlet part felt very thrift store-ish. Found some great deals on kitchen stuff. if you are looking to fill a new place with furniture and home goods, its worth checking out. I noticed a very large liquor selection too. I might have to make another visit next time I am in town! You should know some of the furniture on the floor is not in stock (pretty everything I wanted). they warned me it could take a while for my table to be delivered, but dang I am a month in and still waiting. How can you not love unclaimed freight? The beauty of it is that things are damaged during transport or ordered in too large a quantity all the time, so UFS has no shortage of stuff to sell me at a huge discount. If you ever want to get a deal on an appliance or furniture, this is the place to go. Aside from their main store (with the wonderfully cheap liquor, as other reviewers mentioned), they have two other buildings devoted to appliances and furniture. Damage doesn't mean destroyed beyond recognition, either. We got our fridge here, and one side had a ding in it, which was easily disguised by putting that side goes up against our wall. read more

Everytime I Drive to Peoria to visit my sister, we always make sure to make a stop at this place. In generally has a lot of generic stuff you would find at Harbor Freight, Dollar Tree, lots of Chinese stuff. However I don't go there for atamer and sleds and coats, I do go there for the wine and liquor. Comparing wine prices on average wines that cost ordinarily up to about $15 a bottle run about 2 to 3 dollars cheaper than what you'd find in the grocery store. Wines it run above 15 dollars in the 15 to 50 dollar range runs between 5 and 10 dollars cheaper it what you would find at a grocery store. And liquor prices are generally really really good. I got 1.75 liters of Gentleman Jack for around 43 bucks. And they had a fellow there that was also inscribing the bottles for free. What if you think about it it's actually a really really good deal if you're buying them as a gift. There is lots of employees milling about my only real big complaint is parking is pretty hard to find, but you might have to park across the street and also shopping carts are also hard to come by. read more

I stopped in to UFS with my father in-law. He and I like to indulge in craft brews when I come to Illinois to visit. UFS, is located in an older area of Peoria and includes 2 different buildings located across the street from one another. One building houses furniture and the other building carries all of the other general retail and house ware items. You wouldn't expect a store like this to have an outstanding beer selection, but I have to admit that I was pleasantly surprised at the wide variety of beer that they carry. Even more surprising is their low prices. They undercut prices from other beer retailers by at least $1.00 per six pack of craft beer. I picked up several 6 packs that I'd never seen before and took them back to Tennessee with me. I'll definitely be returning during my next visit to the Peoria area. On a side note: they often have beer tastings here. During our visit, they were giving out free samples of Bridgeport beer. Check your local listings for details. read more

The employees here are all messed up they sexually harass female coworkers and put people down to make them feel like crap the management let's everything slide because of favorites it's ridiculous and the owners don't do a single thing to stand up for employees who are getting harassed!! Ordered bedroom AND living room furniture from the furniture outlet.. The most unprofessional and non trustworthy company I have ever ordered anything from. My bedroom set was suppose to be in over 6 weeks ago. Every time I called nobody knew when it would be in and never took the initiative to find out. Always got "oh we don't know. Probably 2 weeks" then after the 2 weeks, the same answer. This happened THREE times. After explaining my frustration on how I'm getting no answers and how if I don't have a delivery date soon, I would like a refund, the customer service guy VERY obviously not interested quickly gave me a refund instead of bothering to help me. I never once talked to anyone who took any interest in helping. Very very dissatisfied. Horrible customer service. Will never recommend to literally anyone. read more

They don't stand by the products they sell. Instead they sell you a "warranty" provided by some third party scam company, Safeware, that doesn't actually cover anything. They treat you like the garbage they sell you. read more

not the best service wise but the prices are good on their wines. i have bought a lot of furniture and appliances from them but sometimes they dont greet you when you come in the furniture store. there was a time me and my daughter looked around for 15 minutes w/o anyone approaching us they were into their own personal converstations. to me customer service is everything, but not that visit, so i took my business elsewhere. read more

The customer service is terrible. I had a recliner break in the first week. The woman answering the phone was extremely rude. It took them 2 weeks to send someone out to look at it and 2 weeks to get the part they needed. We bought the extended warranty. I put in a claim on Feb 1st 2017. Today I called to follow up with the claim because it had been over a month. I found out that UFS received the work order but as of Feb 27 they no longer service furniture. They had the work order for entire month but never took any initiative to contact me. Now they don't do service so the work order has to be sent out to someone else. It's extremely poor service all together. read more

Not a fancy store but that's not what you come for. The wine, craft and import beer selection is fantastic and at great prices. The staff is very knowledgable with wine and beer and are eager to help you find what your looking for. I also recommend going for one of their special wine or beer tastings. They are usually held for local charities and you'll find a great deal. read more

Almost always find what I'm looking for. Prices are good. Selections are limited but they have a variety of unusual things also. Most of the staff is helpful and friendly but a few could use lessons. It is annoying to not be able to write a check though. read more

I used to come here for the beer and liquor prices, but I'm glad I decided to take a stroll through their furniture building. I ended up purchasing a new living room and bedroom set and could not be happier. My sales person was polite and professional and even though I decided to purchase furniture that was not in stock, I got a call just 11 days after ordering to setup my delivery! After shopping some of the stores in the area this is by far my top pick. There regular price is still lower than the Ashley Homestore's sales. The furniture I ended up buying was Ashley and I decided to shop for the same items I wanted from the Homestore assuming I would have to get them to price match the Homestore's sale prices. UFS was $410 cheaper, and that is the everyday prices!! Delivery went flawless and I am very pleased with my purchase. read more
