Cocktail hour a bit less successful. They had one bar outside at top of stairs to the hall. Everything out there, including wines, had gotten very warm to almost hot sitting in the sun. Bar area needs to be shielded from the sun, or better yet have both bars inside with the heat. There was an event cocktail in dispensers. It would have made sense to have one bar focus on that, wine and beer to keep the lines moving as tremendous wait, again at outside bar, standing in the sun and heat. If they had had the event cocktail a s all distance inside then it might have deterred allot of folks from sitting on bar lines. Not well planned. The hall itself is relatively sterile, similar to that of a hotel offering with a tad more character. The room was at a very reasonable temperature throughout the event. The appetizers - mini beef wellingtons, fried shrimp very good. The bruschetta ok. The main course - ok, but certainly disappointing. Old school menu of pot roast, mashed potatoes, squash, if and chicken with caper sauce. First, pork was so hard and overcooked that it was largely inedible. The sauce so thin that it didn't cling the the meat and veggies. The mashed potatoes cold. The squash so limp it was not appealing. The chicken decent but some of the sections still had blood inside and the breasts pretty dry, Also, no spoon for service to get some of the sauce on the meat to help with dryness. The best thing on the buffet was the rolls in y opinion. The place just seemed dated in terms of offering.

It is a private club, so you'll need to know a member ;) The course is not an easy one. Fairways are great and well maintained but the greens will get you. They are super fast, especially as they warm up! Not only that but there are lots of tiered greens too. They also cut the holes in tough spots on Sunday's as many clubs do. So don't be surprised! There's also a 200+ yard par three so make sure you got the club for it! All in all this has to be a top course in the area

And I said then I would not play it again. Gave them another try today 5/13/23. They had increased Green fees $25 -- to $70. And the greens were WORSE this year than last. My living carpet is smoother than their greens. Bridges crossing creeks have missing boards. A few of their TEE Boxes are in bad shape. Unless you want to play REAL BAD and blow $70. Even though this is the only course in the Oconee County area, the course is well kept and the holes location change everyday. They also have some tournaments where anyone can sign up to play. Overall this course is amazing and it will challenge your golf game and provide you with fun challenges.

Easy to find in a busy shopping area off a major road (316) and near an exit (Oconee Connector exit) off the city perimeter.
