I booked this for our son's Birthday Party and made it a Dads (or Mum's) & lads event. This assured all the children were safe with a a parent & the required consent forms on the day could be completed.
You have to be at the venue at 9am for a safety briefing & you get kitted up. The day ends about 3.30pm.
The Head Marshall was very good with highlighting the rules & penalties should anyone misbehave etc but the foul lanaguage used was unnecessary & inappropriate given that there were many children present.
There were about 80 people taking part during our day and your party is usually kept together in one of the two teams. We had a Stag Party with the group but they were well behaved throughout the day.
The paintballs are expensive and can be purchased as follows: 100 for £7 or 500 for £30. Our party of eight got through 3500 paintballs during the day's play, so you need to consider the add on costs. The day itself for 8 people was fairly expensive already and we purchased the first 100 paintballs for each person.
Dinner is inclused (hot dog & packet of crisps) but no drinks. These are extortionate at £1 for a can of Pepsi / Tango etc. I suggest taking your own drinks and maybe some sweets for the kids. Also pack some hand wipes for dirty hands / faces and wear some boots or weelies as you will get very dirty.
Theere are plenty of games throughout the day and we all enjoyed them. It is very tiring but the kids & adults loved it.
The reason for only a three star rating is due to the high price of paintballs / misc items and the bad language of the head marshall.
Parking is free at the entrance to the location and a five minute walk up to the woods. read more
