The shop itself…read moreis a fair size, and has the tellers at the back of the shop as well as a shop assistant at the front to deal with bits and pieces that are bought in the shop. There is rows and rows of occassion cards, as well as stationary, packaging materials, toys and gifts. they at times have some really beautiful ornaments in store, which are really good value for money. The staff are always very polite and friendly and willing to help with anything. the layout of the shop makes it easy for customers to queue to be dealt with with the tellers. Tellers usually deal with each customers query quickly and efficiently. A good security and safety measure is that they are behind safety glass, i'm always one for the safety of staff, especially in establishments where a lot of money is being used. This post office is a sub post office but you would really think it was a main one. The size is fantastic, staff are magic and there is always cheerful banter exchanged between customer and teller. Couldn't ask for anything better.

There are 3 tellers and most of the time 2 of these are open. there's a nice big, recently refurbished counter and the staff are always really helpful and friendly, much more so than the main post office in town. They can process items for posting, pensions, bill payments and electricity cards. There's quite often a little queue for the post office but it moves fast as the staff always jump in to ensure people aren't waiting too long. There's also a large selection of packaging materials available for purchase from boxes to mailing envelopes, notelets to tape. These are all paid for at the main shop counter not at the post office counter. Local postcards are also available. The shop area sells a range of goods including handmade sandwiches, stag bakeries products, a small selection of household items like fairy liquid and cans of soup, magazines, soft drinks, alcohol, sweets & crisps, cirgarettes and there's a lottery machine too. Shop staff are also very friendly and helpful and a trip to the trading post is alway a pleasant experience. There's a large parking area outside but it can get quite busy as it services both the trading post and the butchers and it doesn't help when people don't park properly as there's no bay markings! But it's always easier to park here than anywhere near the main Post Office in town

Strath stores is an ideal little shop for locals and tourists alike to get daily basic essentials…read more They supply the main things such as freshly baked breads/rolls and cakes etc, as well as having a deli counter too. There are fridges and a couple of freezers out the back which store some frozen food, as well as pies, freshly prepared salads and rice dishes, and other dairy products. There is also a good selection of tinned foods, as well as toiletries and household products. This, like I mentioned, is a god send to locals who can get there daily essentials to top them up until they do there big shop in the supermarket. They don't only do shopping, but there is also internet access available upon request, which is such a good key point especially with a caravan park just next to them, holiday makers can access the internet while on holiday. Excellent!!! It is easy to access especially as there is a car park directly opposite the shop. The only tiny thing i would say is when it's busy, because of the layout of where the tills are, when there is a queue it's hard to get from the fridges over to the shelves with the tins. But this is only a tiny little nit pick. It's an excellent little shop.
