I just got off the phone with this exact branch to sort a charge on my account. I had called the branch a week ago and made an arrangement for some funds to be removed, they did not stick to the agreement and I got fined as a result.
The customer service today was horrid. Yes I got the fine removed but the money they took "extra" which they should not have taken will not be returned to me. I spoke to the manager also who basically said "We can't help you, the money is lost" before saying goodbye and hanging up without any apology while I spent the whole call being very polite (when I should've been fuming).
£500 down the drain and rather than go in to the branch and kick up a fuss I'll have my solicitor deal with them instead, someone will be fired and hopefully the training of staff will improve. read more
