Getting your hair done at the Ulta Salon? Ask for ICIE! I moved from Philadelphia a few months ago and was going to the same hairstylist for a few years. Now living in DE, the trip was too far, so I took a risk and scheduled a trim/blow-dry at the Ulta Beauty Dover location. I was hesitant because VERY FEW know how to blow dry CURLY hair. BOY WAS I BLOWN AWAY! No one has ever blow-dried my hair the way Icie did. Not to mention, my hair lasted for a long time and had so much volume. Of course, I went back and decided to trust Icie with a hair color change and again I WAS IMPRESSED. Every time I leave the salon, I feel beautiful. YOU WON'T REGRET IT! ASK FOR HER! Okay. I love Ulta. All Ultas. They're all the same, when it comes to their stock. They have all types of makeup, hair product, gifts, and hair appliances. A bunch of us came in on a Saturday afternoon and the store was practically dead. One of my friends had her eyebrows done by a very nice lady. Their store was nice with many products for sale. This store is a lovely addition to Dover! I hadn't been to Dover in a while, so it was a pleasant surprise to see it. I set up a hair blow out and make up appointment with Leland. He was absolutely great! He listened to what I wanted, executed perfectly and made me feel fantastic for my baby shower. I highly recommend going to see him. Staff is very unfriendly. They act like when you are bothering them when you come in there. You can tell they don't work on commission because they definitely are not interested In helping. One time they did help me and every single thing she suggested I had to return because it was all the wrong shades. Gorgeous new store! I visited last Saturday to get my haircut with my favorite stylist, Sandra. The entire salon staff was warm and friendly. I absolutely loved my haircut and decided, with their great advice and suggestions, to get my hair toned to take out some of the brassiness left behind from past coloring. It came out perfect! I was so pleased with the final result. I also really loves the huge selection of cosmetics, beauty and hair care products in the store. After my salon visit I browsed the store. I found a luminizing sheet face mask for a great price. Really a fan of this store. Will be visiting more Ultas in the future :) read more

I'm very upset I schedule an appointment they have my hair done they called me and asked me to come in earlier I arrived earlier I want to stand there for over an hour why they did somebody else's hair because they squeezed in another appointment ahead of mine. I ultimately ended up leaving without getting my hair done I will go elsewhere. The lady who was supposed to do my hair was very apologetic a nice after she called me once I left the store after waiting for over an hour. I love this store. I read a few other reviews about being ignored. A couple times it was difficult for me to find help. But once I did they stuck with me to find what I needed. Danellie the stylist was awesome. We hired her to do my nieces makeup for prom. She went out if her way to even help my niece fix her hair after we paid 85.00 to have it done in another salon and my niece hated it. I can't say enough good things about Danielle and ulta. Was so excited when Ulta was opening up here. The store isn't even a year old and the shelves are not stocked properly. Every item I looked for was out of stock. Haphazardly things are thrown in different spots. The bathroom is filthy. It's just not a good Ulta experience and I do love Ulta as my go to usually. Not this one though. read more

I went into Ulta at their Dover, DE location to get my eye-brows waxed, let me inform you of how immature, disrespectful and un-professional their eye brow stylist Asia is. Normally when you are paying for a service you expect to get what you are paying for, even a simple request to adjust something is not out of the ordinary. When my eye brows were finished, she showed me in the mirror, and I requested her to make some adjustments, but as she rushed me over to the counter to pay with out being able to fully see what she has done. Additionally she tries to fill in brows with a pencil, to hide her mistakes. Upon completion of my service I went to check with my mother, and right away she saw they just were not right. She made one thicker with no arch, while the other was thinner with an arch... I returned to the store only a few minutes later, claiming how my mother and I still see they are off. Another staff member rolled her eyes exclaiming, "It's always the mothers." Next Asia, harshly pushes my face from side to side, laughing "that she is a professional, she does this all the time, she does not see anything wrong with them at all. Why don't you go get your mother then..." First off, no one, I repeat no one should put their hands on you. And as service was complete, she had no authorization of crossing into my personal space. The rudeness that spilled from her moth was unbelievable. So I indeed invited my mother into the store. Where she became even worse towards my mother. My mother pointed out what was wrong with the brows. Asia again, recited her qualifications, exclaiming that what she did was perfect. How can Ulta employ someone who becomes so defensive, for asking her to make them right or match? I have called into the headquarters explaining, my highly dissatisfaction to simply get my eye brows done, but I thought I should alert all to beware of this specific employees, Asia, ways of business.... read more

I love this store and the associates are amazing. After a horrible experience with my daughter having her brows done at Regal nails and being burned so severely it could have resulted in scarring, I found this place. My daughter was having her makeup done for homecoming here and Linda the wonderful makeup artist not only did an amazing job at covering the issue but she put us in touch with Asia, the stores' brow expert. Asia gave her an ointment that cleared the burn-up and prevented scarring and she was wonderful about explaining what is the right way and what went wrong. My daughter waited for her brows to grow out and we visited Asia today who rocked it out! She is in love with her brows and viola absolutely no irritation, redness, or burning! I know many of us visit nail salons for brow waxing because the cost can be a bit less expensive but remember a lot of them are NOT licensed or certified to do brows. I implore you when entrusting your face to someone to visit someone who is licensed and passionate about what they do! We love both Asia and Linda and believe both Ulta and Dover are lucky to have them! read more
