I had been wanting microdermabrasion, but on the fence about it. I was calling in to make a hair appointment, when I heard about skin services on their automated system. When they answered, I asked about it. They offer peels, microderm, and all of these other types of facials. I scheduled and met with Anna, the aesthetician. She's amazing! She explains each step she's taking and it's all very relaxing. I've had 3 appointments now and I am using the dermalogica products. My skin is becoming more even each time (I have hyper and hypo pigmentation) to the point I've gotten comments about it. Don't go!! Overpriced!! Can't do black hair. My color was NOT what I requested. Half my hair was cut off and in layers. One side is cut more than the other. The stylist was very nice, but that's about all. I know she's good at what she does, but black hair is unique!!! read more

I was not going to say anything about my experience at Ulta Beauty but my hair has been permanently damaged. I went in to get a silk press on my natural hair. The lady that did my hair literally was combing my hair out with the hot comb. My hair was not getting straight and she blamed it on it being my first time getting my hair silk pressed. Mind you I was natural going into Ulta Beauty!!! It was frizzing up before I even left the store. The next morning my roots were frizzy and my ends were straight. I was not going to say anything because I got it done back in November of LAST YEAR but my hair is still in that state!!! About 3 inches of my hair is still straight and my roots look natural. I worked hard to grow my hair and for someone to damage it like this is just crazy. You guys definitely need better staff!!! And on top of all this she did not even know she had a client early that morning. Maybe you guys should not allow people to book an appointment until the staff is set up. I am not sure what she put in my hair. She used a few products. And if you are a professional beautician, you know better then to put Jam on NATURAL HAIR after you give it a SILK PRESS!!! I was getting my hair down for my baby shower and that was suppose to be an exciting and joyous moment for me but it was ruined. My baby shower pictures looked horrible and you guys took a moment from me that I cannot get back!!! read more

Love this Ulta! Every single time I walk in everyone is so nice and sweet! If I have any questions about a product the staff is very knowledgable and helpful. They are always willing to spend extra time with me and they always give me a really good color match to any foundation without hassle. Id say my favorite thing about it though is it is truly and one stop shop. You can get a cut, color and style any day of the week and they are open from 10-9!! They also do nails and facials. They offer microderms and basic facials. You can buy your razors, candles, high end skincare and revlon all in one place!! They also do eye brow waxing at the benefit brow bar. I got my lip waxed the last time I was in there and I normally break out if I get a lip wax but I didn't have hardly any irritation!! I always come in here at least one every few weeks to restock on all things beauty!! read more

DO NOT LET FELICIA DO YOUR HAIR. You will leave with something absolutely not worth the jacked up prices Ulta charges for beauty services. First, I asked for toner to take the brassiness out of my hair and a blow out for volume. $90 later I left with basically the exact same brassiness and flat dry brittle locks after her version of a blowout which involved an max heat flat iron that burned my hair and a dryer that burned my scalp. I should have known better when I made the appointment and was warned that she can't do curls. What kind of stylist can't do curls?! The only reason I'm giving any stars is the makeup session wasn't too bad. But even for that I think I overpaid. Lesson + Application = $90. For the love of your hair and wallet, don't go here. You may as well do your research, check out YouTube tutorials, buy supplies at Sally's and Target and do it all yourself. $30-$40 later...you'll thank me. read more
