I asked to transition to a silver gray. I specifically said no blonde. Especially no caramel blonde. My hair ended up yellow. I went back, and it ended up caramel blonde. My roots were such a beautiful silvery gray, now I have to start over with caramel blonde. My hair is so dry and damaged. If they couldn't do it, they should have said so. I scheduled with a master stylist, and they did not offer to correct this. They put me with a lesser trained stylist. Today, while in the check out line, a man with his young daughter was checking out as well. The young girl explained to the cashier it was her birthday month and she signed up on the app and could she please get the gift. She was told by the cashier. "NO"they were out of gifts. Further saying, If she had wanted a gift she should have come the first of the month. However, she could go on line and make a $50 purchase and they would send her the birthday gift. She politely asked if she had the Dec gifts and if so could please give her one of those. She said she absolutely had the Dec gifts but No she could not give her one.The father was nice but said maybe I should carry you from now forward to Sephora. The cashier abruptly said ok! As if who cares ! Well, it wasn't my daughter nor was it any of my business! But it's certainly my business that I will NEVER walk in an Ulta door again. I have never gone to ULTA but I had a gift card that I wanted to use for some makeup after watching YouTube tutorials for an elegant banquet I had to attend to. As I went in I didn't know how big this place was and not knowing anything about makeup didn't help. As I was. Walking I got as getting frustrated and I approached the lady over the Clinique area and asked for help. Her name is Talitha. I asked her I wanted a specific look and more of a coverage. She was very thorough and asked me how my skin is, if it was usually oily or dry. I told her my skin was very dry and I could t use any lotion with fragrance on it and she knew exactly what to use on my skin. She tried a couple of foundations and chose the perfect one for me from Clinique with medium coverage (16). She then asked me who was doing my makeup for this event. And I told her I didn't have the money to spend for someone to do my makeup. She then offered me and three of my other classmates who were also there to do our makeup for free for our veterinary banquet. I couldn't believe it, I asked her again and she wrote our names on her book. I ended up getting more things that day that she recommended without her pushing me to buy them. When we got there on Saturday she did an AMAZING job and not only that. She gave us a tiny gift bag with Clinique samples and also a letter. She mentioned they didn't have helium otherwise she would've given us balloons. HANDS DOWN the best person ever. ULTA better make sure to keep her, or I won't go there anymore. read more

I got a curly cut from the salon and it was a decent experience. It is so nice that they use curly hair products appropriate for hair type and refreshing to have the option to have hair diffused at the end. I would say its the best curly cut you can get for the price point but not a true curly cut. They cut the hair dry but brushed out instead of curl by curl so I think a lot of the advantage of a curly cut is lost. The diffusing process is also okay but not stellar. I'd say if you are looking for a curly cut just opt for the more expensive ones at other salons but for absolutely any other service I think the stylists at ulta are great. read more

I needed a haircut badly before school, but my usual stylist was booked. I saw there was availability at Ulta and nervously booked an appointment with Lisa. She did an amazing job!! I give 3 stars only for my wife's great experience. However, on thanksgiving evening the store has no hangout section for husbands and boyfriends! I highly recommend that you create a "men's hangout section" that is fully stocked with craft beer, at least 8 TVs tuned in to espn and a couple tables set up for Dungeons and Dragons! This way there is an all around great experience for everyone on thanksgiving and Black Friday! read more

After getting a few cheap haircuts that were awful, my parents paid for me to get a good cut here while visiting them. Brittany Ouellette was my stylist and she was amazing! She was JUST licensed! She fixed all the awkward layers, and even got my bangs to lay right. I am not happy with a lot of cuts, but I was very happy with what I received from her, and she was so nice! Okay so this is my regular Ulta I go here all the time I love it here the staff is so nice. I went in today and the service was amazing! The lady that works with the Anastasia products is so sweet she's always greeting me and telling me great advice. I forget her name but she has blonde hair and is white real sweet lady. But today my cashier Taylor ran out after me because I paid a dollar over I mean bless her soul she really went through the trouble of running out and getter to my car I really appreciate it she is wonderful. Decent selection. Only three stars because the makeup artists were all only interested in talking to one another instead of helping any of the customers that milled abkht. No one said anything as I walked in, even though they were all standing together by the front door, and one said goodbye with a tone as I walked out. Definitely will not be going back, I was in the store tonight just browsing around for Christmas gifts, I was followed and stared at the whole time I was in the store, it was very awkward and uncomfortable. Then the same lady that has been following me and staring at me the whole time comes up to me and tells me that they are closing soon and basically tries to rush me out, I was very aware of the time and did not plan on staying after they had closed.
