I've been to this Ulta Beauty on PGA a handful of times. Most visits are for browsing skin products, and my most recent stop was to grab my free birthday gift. IYKYK Location is clean, well-organized, and easy to navigate. Shelves are usually stocked, testers are available, and it doesn't feel chaotic even when it's busy. The location is also very convenient, especially since it's near one of my favorite stores... *cough cough* Trader Joe's. That alone makes it a natural stop when I'm already in the area. Customer service has been consistently positive. Staff members have been welcoming, helpful, and pleasant. I've never had trouble getting assistance when needed. Overall, good service, convenient placement, and a comfortable shopping experience whether you're just browsing or running in for something specific. read more

I visited Ulta for a hair appointment, hoping for a much-needed improvement. However, my experience was nothing short of disappointing. Despite providing clear instructions and referencing notes from my last visit, the stylist completely disregarded my preferences. I specifically requested a bold, icy blonde with noticeable highlights, and thick money piece, but what I ended up with was far from what I had hoped for. Not only did I not achieve the desired level of blonde, but the stylist also added low lights that resulted in a muddy, ashy appearance. The overall warmth of the color and the lack of bold highlights and nonexistent money piece left me feeling incredibly dissatisfied. I left with less blonde then I came in with. As a result, I now need to seek another stylist to correct the issues with my hair, which is not only inconvenient but also adds to the expense of achieving the desired outcome. I haven't been in this store brand in quite some time. But I am a member of their loyalty program and even remembered my number. By the way, this store had plenty of staff -- on the floor and behind the cash registers. Not sure if this is because it is bear the college, but it was a positive sign considering so many other retail places are short staffed. We were nearby so I stopped in to see if they had some of a limited edition roll on natural cologne that I used to like. I'd recently gifted a girlfriend my last coconut vanilla scented bottle. She was in town and I knew how much she loved coconuts. Well, we got immediate and good service. We told the guy what we were looking for and he searched. Then he said, he might have some in the drawer as it's been discontinued. We lucked out! He had one of the items I was seeking -- and it was a replacement for the one I'd given away! Woohoo. Not sure about anyone else but it seems that each time I visit the Ulta in Palm Beach Gardens the assistance is poor. You ask a question and they assist but quickly move on. I have been a customer for years and expect a little bit of attention. When checking out at the PB Gardens store on Sunday, my cashier was not happy to be there. She was speaking to the cashier next to her while she was checking me out saying that she just can't deal with any more nonsense from customers. I was standing right there and I said "well it's the holiday season so it is what it is." Maybe do Peleton meditation before your shift. What if I had been a secret shopper. I worked in retail for years and the customer is always right no matter what. If she is not happy in her job, move on! read more

When the store opened, one of the girls was too busy putting on her makeup to help me. I actually thought she was a customer at first. Another woman helped and was very friendly. There are no prices displayed, so you either have to ask or figure it out when you pay. There's a lot of products and no discounts other than points. Shakira!!!! I walked in today and was lost, fumbling around looking for a neutral eyeshadow. I wear very very little makeup and just use it to hide the aging details of my 56 year old face! Nothing sparkly or too dramatic and, honestly, I just dont really know how to do it! Shakira sweetly plopped me into a chair and gave me a fantastic very neutral makeover! I bought everything she suggested & couldn't believe the "au naturale" beauty she gave me. I kept checking in the drop down mirror in my car on the way home to make sure it was still me!!! :) I couldn't wait to wash it off & try it for myself. And I must say, Shakira NAILED it! I wish I'd encountered her years ago!!! I even called the Ulta manager, after my own face-do, and told them how great she was and how she knew exactly what I needed. Probably the best Ulta location I've ever been to. I go the the salon and Nicole was absolutely incredible.. in fact the whole salon staff are extremely knowledgeable and so nice. They all help each other out and are just really really good at their jobs. Whether it's a haircut or hair dye or keratin treatment, they excel in everything. Nicole helped me get my gross brassy blonde to a nice buttery blonde and it didn't even take hours and hours. They aren't stuck up and overpriced like other salons in the area are. I went in looking for a certain product, which happened to be out of stock. As I was looking around for something similar towards the back of the store an extremely kind and helpful sales associate asked if I needed help and even checked in the back to see if she happened to have any extra. This review is in regards to what I saw and heard while she was in the back looking for my product. A woman near me was coming in at noon for a haircut which she'd apparently tried to cancel part of via text (her 11 am color) so she showed up for the second half of her services. I have NEVER heard such a rude or mean individual in the retail or service industry as the stylist who was supposed to provide this woman's service. She stomped her way up, said the woman was too late and that "her computer still has the appointment scheduled an hour" before in a condescending tone, and wasn't interested in her customer or trying to be understanding at all. I mean, I thought she was rude enough that I wanted to come here and write this review - and it didn't even happen to me. I will never recommend that salon to anyone, and will be sure to tell people about the customer service provided by the stylist. read more

I've had good experiences before but it's overshadowed by the amount of times I've been stalked by security here. I am a diamond member and come to this store about twice a month, never leaving once without purchasing something, and spending EVEN MORE online. I mean, it's pretty bad if you can tell who security is because they are literally following you around the store, doesn't seem like an effective strategy to me. I'm just trying to enjoy my day off and meander the store, look at all the beautiful products, and see where my money takes me but evidently, having been a loyal customer for 7 years and spending $2000- $3000 annually for this company is not enough. I am typically a huge fan of Ulta. I've been in about 10+ different stores in four different states, but the PBG is the absolute worst. I was looking for something in particular and I was made to feel like a big inconvenience to the employees who suggested I go find it myself. Then, four of them decided to just stand together and chit chat with each other. I understand not helping me if they were super busy, but to be dismissed so they could hang around and gossip sucked. I was so frustrated by the entire experience that I ended up not buying the thing I came there to buy and not buying the thing I needed help finding. The good news is that there is a Trader Joe's next door so that was a nice happy place to get over the let down that is the PGA Blvd Ulta. The bad news is that Ulta's Brinks truck double parked and so I was trapped in my parking space. It then proceeded to completely block traffic for a while. Luckily, once I was finally able to escape this Ulta nightmare, the Sephora is down the street, and THEY were able to help me. I usually do my own hair at home but this time decided to go in for a quick blow dry as i was heading out on vacation. I was charged over $75 for a shampoo & blow dry, mind you my hair at the time was below my ears a very short bob style. The store it self is great. They have a extensive selection of beauty items. Never any sales or perks like the department stores but they have an incredible return policy. Their employees are just that, workers at a beauty store. They can't answer what I would assume simple questions about what products to buy or use. I asked yesterday for an alternative to hair spray to hold curls and they told me that did not exist. Once of salon stylists stated that hair must be cut short to hold a curl after using hot rollers. You do not need short hair to curl it. Kinda of ridiculous. If you know what you need or want to buy, or if you haven't tried a product, like my teen daughters love their return policy. When it come to a staff that knows products and can make true recommendations to follow your beauty journey they can't do much. I would stick to the Mall and department stores for that knowledge. Dear Ulta team, I am writing to share my experience at your store and specifically with one of your employees. I visited your store in search of a waterproof, non-transferable makeup to cover up my acne scars for a wedding. As someone who has been on a long journey to heal my skin (currently on accutane), it was a vulnerable moment for me to ask for help. Unfortunately, the employee that approached me was less than sympathetic. She made me feel ashamed of my skin and proceeded to lecture me on the need for a breathable foundation. Which may be true, however I was looking for foundation for a wedding. This is my first time seeking body make up and I am unfamiliar with products that are offered. When it comes to foundation I have been informed by my dermatologist what to use, as I am under professional care. I did not need a lecture from a sales employee and her delivery was poor. She then asked me to lift up my hoodie and show my back where the scars were. When I showed her my back to explain what I wanted to cover, she made a disgusted face and gasped. She then proceeded to say " oh thats going to difficult" and showed me 1 product her reaction was rude and condescending. It was clear she was judging me for the current state of my skin. I was hoping she would have mentioned a few brands or products to help me but she did not. This happened in front of my sister along with other customers. I left your store feeling more insecure than when I arrived. As someone who has struggled with acne, it's difficult to summon the courage to seek help, only to be met with such a dismissive attitude. In my opinion, it's unacceptable for an employee working in sales for makeup to not be sympathetic to all skin types and want to help those looking to boost their confidence. I ultimately bought the product she recommended because I didn't know any other options and felt like I needed it. But I wanted to make sure you knew that I was extremely dissatisfied with my experience. No one should be made to feel bad about their skin, especially by someone who is supposed to be an expert in helping customers. From what I am told, in comparison to competition, as you make purchases, they provide you with cash future discounts. The other competitor that I will not mention, provides you with free samples. Corey, the manager, was crucial in helping me find what kind of smells I prefer in perfumes and colognes. According to the 3 different colognes I told him I enjoy (which were Dolce & Gabbana The One, Hugo Boss - old school one in a grey box, & Amor Amor for Men), I prefer the possibly musky, woody, and spicy smell. I believe the 'spicy' aspect to the colognes is what I truly appreciate. Corey also assisted me in choosing a gentle yet reasonably priced face exfoliant, which I've been desperately needing advice on! There was also a shorter, black haired woman on the floor who assisted me in trying and finding different colognes and perfumes. I have been buying from this ulta location frequently and never had an issue as I've never needed to make any major returns or had problems with any items. However, recently I had a family friend gift me a perfume from ulta, however I did not like the scent when I smelt in stores so I never opened it or the wrapping and the sensor was still on it. So not having a gift receipt or my family friends rewards account since they do not live in the country and only come here for visitation about once a year, I needed to make my first exchange without a receipt. According to their store policy, "If you are unable to return the product with its receipt...your refund will be in the form of an in-store credit equal to the lowest selling price at which the product was sold by Ulta Beauty during the 90-day period preceding the return." With that said I specifically said I just want to make an exchange for something of lower price or receive store credit for it, not make a return for cash. When they rung up the item and it showed the lowest selling price at that time was the full amount of the item ($60) they looked hesitant and then told me "I've made too many returns within the last year that exceeds the amount over $60" and I said I've never made any returns without a receipt ever to ulta. So that doesn't sound right and I just want to exchange or receive store credit. When they called the manager, he barely interacted with me to ask what the issue was and just reiterated the same thing and that "the system wouldn't allow them". They then thought it would make me feel better by suggesting to regift it to someone else. I walked out, not even bothering to fight it. I went to another ulta location the same day and within seconds without having to explain anything to them, they were able to give me a full store credit exchange for my item with no trouble!! So either this location was just not willing to work with me and take advantage of the fact that I seemed young and laid back and wouldn't make it an issue because no where can I find that "policy" that they supposedly told me about. Either way I will not be coming back to this location as they clearly do not have the customers best interest at hand. read more

I visited a pga west palm beach Ulta Beauty location last week. When I reached inside the first 3 seconds I noticed was one of the employees just staring at me from behind some shelfs. I began walking towards the back of the store, and as I made way down I noticed him following me. I finished my business and as turned to leave I was stoped by a different employee and asked who I knew there. I assumed she'd ask if I needed help or if there was anything she mighty be able to help find, but instead she asked who do I know there. As if I had no right being there unless If I knew some one. I went into Ulta last week with a vague inclination of what I was trying to accomplish with a makeup product. Unfortunately, I had not written down the name of the product or even what magazine I had seen it. After discussing the product for a while and at least trying to figure out what my main goal was, I found an alternative product that works really well. I am grateful that the staff working at Ulta were so patient with me and really tried to help me figure out what on Earth I was trying to accomplish. I went back the next week and got a free birthday gift after signing up for Ulta rewards. I would never have bought that product on my own since it was $10 for a small little beauty pore refining mask but I will try it for free to see what I think. I'm not quite sure how the rewards points work just yet but I did get an email saying that the rewards are doubled during my birthday month so I figured I may as well buy that Chanel perfume I've been waiting on forever. I was told that the store receives product every Thursday but when I went back on a Sunday the perfume I wanted still was not in stock. With some luck and some advice from the receptionist (who was extremely nice) I was put with Renee and got exactly what I had hoped for. No one greeted me when I walked in. Then I was checking out and the lady looked at me and goes "next" so I walked over. Didn't even say hi and she goes "do you have a reward Card" I said yes I told her my number. She typed it in and goes "I said do you have a reward Card" and I said um yes and she repeated back the number she wrote down which she entered in wrong. So then she rings me up and goes do you have a gift card I said yes but I wasn't sure if there was anything on it. So I swiped it and she's like "there's nothing on it" I said oh ok. And looked over st my purchase and she didn't even bring everything up I put right in front of her. So I said "oh did you get this bag?" And she said nothing but rolled her eyes and rung up the bag too. She told me my total and she goes "it's a chip insert it" just so RUDE!! So she got my receipt and then handed me my bag and goes "thanks, next" Not friendly at all, not welcoming, doesn't know costumer service and she made me feel uncomfortable and stupid.
