I had a 4 pm hair appointment, and found out at 4:15 pm the stylist was not coming in and their was no other stylist on duty.

I took my two daughters and two nieces in the store to shop. Their ages are 17, 12, 10 and 10. The younger three went to look in the skin care section while I was looking at perfume. They all three came back to me stating an employee had asked them not to touch anything. She told them "girls you don't need to look at those things, that for older girls, leave it alone." Valid- they're young, but it could have been delivered in a kinder way. I decided to go with them so they could look at the brand they wanted to check out without any issues. My 17 year old was looking at the same brand as we approached. The employees who had previously addressed my younger girls immediately approached me and rudely stated "this line is for mature skin, these girls don't need to be looking at it. It's ticktock famous but they don't need to be looking at it." I was shocked. My 17 year old then told me the same employee had told her to also leave the products alone. First off, I would never bug a 10 year old $70 face lotion. Second, nor would I buy young girls a line of products made for mature skin. But, they can look. And I would have purchased some of the items for my 17 year old. After that, we got what we absolutely needed and left. Bottom line- I understand people steal and young kids make messes, but all information can be delivered professionally and, most importantly, in a kind way. Not a great way to get customers to spend money. In less than 5 minutes that employee had told 5 customers NOT to make a purchase and was incredibly rude. Ran into the store 10/5/17 to spend my $10 birthday coupon and decided to swing by the salon. I had a nice dinner that evening, and I had extra time on my hands, so I asked the stylist if she had time to curl my hair. She didn't shampoo it, and the whole process took 10 minutes. No big deal, right? Well, the stylist said "this was great, your hair looks awesome, and it's only $10." As she was printing my invoice, the salon manager sneaks up beside her and whispers: "Charge her $20." (Yeah, I heard you.) I'm a disappointed platinum member (someone who spends $500+ annually), who will not be returning to Ulta Salon,and most likely the store. read more

This is a pretty decent size ulta always well stocked and displays are arranged nice with all new make up. This store is way better than the small Sephora in my onion. My daughter chooses Sephora over ulta. I wish check out was a little quicker. But was very satisfied with shopping trip today. And thank you Ulta for letting me play in makeup. read more

Not good at all, if you plan on getting your hair to a certain color they go by what they prefer and think is best rather than what you want and pay for. read more

My dog and were are on a road trip and I had a return I wanted to do. Ulta wasn't open before we left due to covid and unfortunately opened the Monday after we left home. I found an Ulta on the road and went out of my way to make the exchange. It's 90 degrees outside, so I couldn't leave my dog in the car. As I walked in the mall, there was no sign on the mall door and I asked two people if he was allowed in. They said yes, one lady said even if they aren't, no one would say anything. I walk in Ulta and I am greeted by workers and no one says anything as I walk in about not having a dog. One worker walks past me and doesn't say anything. She is wearing a bandana, which doesn't protect her or anything from covid; she either was wearing the bandana for show or she's too ignorant to know any different; other workers aren't wearing masks so it's obvious it isn't a policy. I notice she works there after she walks past me, and I stop her to ask her a question. Without letting me finish, she rudely interrupts me, and asks me if my dog is a service pet. I said no, and she tells me I have to leave. I said there wasn't a sign on the mall door and she said there was on their door. I then said I am on a road trip and I didn't want to leave Everest in the car since it was 90 degrees. She said it didn't matter and people might have allergies, again demonstrating her ignorance as Everest is a doodle hypoallergenic. There was such a better way to go about that situation. She instead embarrassed me in front of others, interrupted me and treated me like she was better than me. In fact, she's the one who is over 50, thinking a bandana is protecting her, working at Ulta. She allowed me to make a return but not exchange, she could have asked if she could grab so we could check out and be out soon. She could have waited till I finished and then told me that they don't allow dogs. She could have asked if there was anything she could grab for me. She could have made an exception because of the stores just now reopening. Instead, she belittled me and kicked me out, using the little power she will ever have in this world to make her miserable day a little bit better. She definitely could use some customer service training and how to approach uncomfortable situations without being rude. I spend thousands of dollars at Ulta every year and I've never had a negative experience; she doesn't represent the Ulta that I know. read more

I got my hair cut here and the gal who cut my hair was SO nice and did a great job!! Very sweet and honestly did more than I paid for!! The only reason I give it 3 stars is because I showed up for my appointment and had to wait 20 minutes for her to finish her previous client's haircut. read more
