However I do have a few concerns about the one in Little Rock. I will say they were incredibly thorough in checking me in and making sure I wasn't bringing in any cheat sheets. This is doing their job and they excel at that, honestly I have no issues with the staff at all, they were all very nice and professional. The temperature control was perfect and monitored every 10 mins. Their procedures seemed to be flawless and they were flawlessly executed. None of this was an issue. The problem was this.... If you have tested in their facilities you know how it goes. You have sound proof headphones on, the kind you use at a shooting range. Once the test starts, there is no stopping it...the clock is ticking. I put my headphones on and started my test. They were so tight that I instantly got a major headache. I wasn't willing to raise my hand, describe the problem and try to solve it as I would lose test time on a very fast paced exam. My advice would be to fit the tester with appropriate hearing protection before entering the room so all kinks could be worked out. The other issue I had was that the door going into the testing room opens and closes very loudly. In my 3 hour test it must have opened and closed over 100 times. This is incredibly distracting to someone who is try to focus on a very important and difficult exam. It was so loud I could hear it through the hearing protecting. I mentioned this to an employee there and she stated that she would write up a complaint, however in past experience nothing ever gets done. I know for a fact that there are door closers that are manufactured to be silent. In an industry where one of the biggest services is to provide a quiet distraction free test environment, this is in direct conflict with their goals and objectives. This may all sound petty, but when you are sitting to take a test you have prepared months for and the outcome will have an immediate impact on your career, you pay $199 to take this test, they should put a bit more attention to the the details of the customers needs.

It is very modern in its decor with top of the line everything. The event hosted there is a fundraiser and an Iron Chef Arkansas version. The students prepared food highlighting different tastes throughout the world. One of my favorite stations was the Eastern European it contained delicacies such as perogies stuffed with cheese and covered with formalized onions, A 3 cheese white wine fondue with home made bread sticks to dip them in, A smoked salmon app that I didn't mess with since I'm allergic to fish, A caviar station that looked cool, and 4 house made sausages. There were also Mixology stations staggered about the venue that made signature cocktails. My favorite was the blood orange hurricane followed by the Bufala negra. It was a great even at a great campus I can't wait to see what the future holds for that place. If the food and the drinks were any indication of the level on instruction the students are receiving than the food business in the state will be in good hands for a while.

We stood there for a good two minutes just wondering where to go. We could have easily walked into the back room, snatched up a kid, and left. No bells/dingers/alarms or anything goes off when the door opens to let anyone know that someone has entered the establishment. The administrator finally came out and we told her we had called about getting a tour, and she was so frazzled. She walked me to the nursery room so we could see the way they have everything is set up. The lady in charge of the nursery is very nice, and you can see that she's very hands-on with the kids, but the administration was so lacking. I kept asking the owner questions about kid-teacher ratios, how long the waiting list is, and she didn't know the answers to any of the questions. The lady in charge of the nursery had to answer the questions for her. Didn't leave me with a good feeling. Their lack of security is crazy!

Overall, I give this school 4/5 stars at this time because, for me, the most important aspects of…read morechildcare are quite strong, and there is some room for improvement. We've been there 1.5 years. The strengths start with the staff--almost all staff are engaged (read: not on their phones, willing to conference and work with parents), and pleasant. Another strength is their policies -- the ratios they require are better than DHS, they implement and advertise policies for safety (eg, parents don't be on cell phone at pick up). Plus, the Montessori curriculum is actually implemented in classrooms--it's not just a daycare holding place. We moved from another daycare and my child's physical and cognitive development skyrocketed when we Changed schools. Now, the school is in a huge old house, so it's not fancy in material but they regularly repair and have an excellent playground the kids visit 1-2 times daily. I find it perfectly quaint. The limits right now are on communication about big changes. They have a monthly newsletter that's brief and helpful. They lack other infrastructure for communicating with parents that really works--some have a Facebook page, some rely on texting parents...but it's not consistent or multifaceted enough to catch everybody (eg some people email, some need flyers). I've learned about big changes by noticing something and asking, Like a new teacher joining or combining two classrooms. My other issue is with nutrition, which plays a big role in child behavior, mood, and development . "Snack" is often processed food with few nutrients (eg Cheez its, graham crackers), and hot lunch is better but not great. Now, we compensate by bringing our child's lunch, but she eats most or more of her allotted sugar each day at school snacks and doesn't get many important nutrients from the food provided.
