I thought this person had serious mental issues when he ran out of the gas station like a crazy person saying I can't throw my garbage out from my vehicle in the garbage can. He then threw the cover on the ground, grabbed my takeout leftovers and walked towards my vehicle. I grabbed my garbage to stop this very unstable individual before he escalated it to another level. When I told him that I would never buy gas from this station ever again and leave a bad review, his response was "I don't care". Being the consumer, I can choose where to spend my hard earned money and did such by going across the highway to Ultramar. What a difference. ULTRAMAR was CLEAN, great convenience store, gas was cheaper, friendly service. I don't get it, why is this ESSO Vars still in business? Give your head a shake. LMAO

I recently had them filled by a young attendant. 2 days later one was leaking. After several hours of leaking which began creating a white cloud, I took it back and was told it was normal in an extremely RUDE manner by one of the kids! I was upset and left the tank there. My wife dropped in today and was told the tank was sent to the administration office in Embrun. The tank was brought back to the gas station while she waited. She was told that the tank was overfilled by about 5 pounds and the regulator was replaced before. Thus, I was sold used propane tanks as new. They actually want us to purchase another tank from them. She was also treated rudely, this time by an older gentleman (not a kid)

I like that it has single lanes, so you can drive in and drive out easily. I don't like the double ones where if you are the rear car and you finish before the front car, you have to pull around the car to exit. I know, first world problems, but hey, if I'm comparing gas stations, this is definitely a factor. This Esso has a Circle K convenience store in it. And this location has a really good selection of slushy flavours, like at least 6-10 different flavours. It also has a Tim Hortons in it and you can buy at the counter or you can go through the drive thru. Selection is a bit less than standalone Tim Hortons, but the convenience can't be beat. There are hand sanitizer dispensers at each pumping station. Staff are generally nice. Since this location is in Orleans, prices are generally lower than in Ottawa or places further west. I really like this Esso. I also love that you get Optimum points at Esso :)

The reason for my review though, is because of the exceptional service I received last week. I dropped in to fill up my tank and get a carwash, but when I entered my car wash code, the display kept giving me the same directions over and over again. I went in to tell the staff, and they were all so friendly. One of the younger staff members jumped into action, immediately posting a closed sign on the car wash, and the manager apologized profusely, explaining they'd been having some problems with the system lately. she then gave me two free car washes that are good until March. I was really impressed with how the staff worked together and how they treat their customers, even in a stressful situation.
