It is a nice restaurant, in the neighborhood that i grow up in. After so many years coming here and seeing the place in business, it feels like coming back home. They have good food, same quality as i remember. Huge restaurant with lots of seating. Service is prompt and attentive. Restaurant has a nice view looking at marmara sea and approaching planes to Ataturk airport. My only problem is amount of people smoking while you are eating. We were seated outside but still there is no respect to other people with this habit.

If your traveling to Turkey, this is a spot NOT to be missed, no matter how near or far it is, GET HERE. Doner kebabs are my favorite food, as this is the Mecca or Holy Grail (depending on what you believe lol if none of the above sorry) of Doner. Specifically, the iskender. Good portion, a rarity In Istanbul, but I still order the 1.5 portion. They have delicious puffy oven bread and goat cheese as a starter, and mantarli pilav, which is rice and mushrooms baked inside a puff pastry. These are all my standard items when I come here. Lots more, more I dont want to get full of other stuff. Terrific sea view during the day, this is paradise and where I want to die, PERIOD. Was here over 3 years ago last, never miss when I travel back to Istanbul. Like I said, if youre a meat lover and are vacationing here, plan this and thank me later. Oh hell, throw in a Lahmajun (Turkish thin crispy bread ground beef and spices pizza) almost forgot that one, its divine as well. read more

Life affirming. The uludağ (iskender) kebab is out of this world. I highly recommend getting the melted butter on top. The sauce is ok but not necessary IMO. The puffy bread with tulum (goat cheese) and walnuts and the çiğ köfte are wonderful starters. Kunefe with kaymak is also wonderful. Always my first stop in Istanbul. Get a table next to the seaside. On a clear night you can also watch the planes fly into Ataturk. read more
