I've been to this dr before the pandemic and she was just as rude then as she is now. She has an excuse for everything you tell her making you feel as if it is your fault you are sick--if you wouldn't eat this or if you would do that or you need to do this more, etc. This goes on even for ear infections and the common cold. And bless your heart if you are the slightest bit overweight. She will downgrade you! I recently had to go to the ER and she was the dr on call, because of her thick Indian accent, a mask, and a face shield I asked her to repeat her statement. She let out a disgusted sigh and rolled her eyes, looked at the nurse from her office and pointed at me. The nurse then basically gave me a condensed version of what she said. Doctor Uma is in family practice. I had recently moved to new area, two hundred miles from where I had previously lived. I first went to her for an infected salivary gland. This is a condition I have had before and I know what is necessary to treat it, antibiotics. She tried to talk me into a CT scan of my head and a colonoscopy. Her husband is a gastroenterologist with an office next door for whom she seemed to be drumming up business. I declined both and asked her to contact my former physician who had indicated she would be happy to send my medical records to my new doctor. Dr. Uma reluctantly prescribed the necessary antibiotics which quickly cleared up the infection. When I next consulted her, I was concerned with my blood glucose level. It was over 450. I noticed she had not requested my medical records. I asked why she hadn't. She informed me she did not like the way I spoke to her and refused to treat me and suggested I find a different Doctor. I took her advice and consulted with Dr. Lydia Tanner who has been my doctor for the last 10 years. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a PCP. Linda M. read more
