Funny enough, I had been following Elli for a while for her food, restaurant, and lifestyle photography before I even discovered her wedding work. Her eye for storytelling, small details, and candid joy immediately stood out, and once I saw her wedding portfolio, I knew she would bring that same magic to our celebration. Since we eloped in Hawaii, we hired Elli (along with an assistant photographer she selected) for 4 hours to photograph our reception. This included a 30-minute portrait session before our grand entrance, and coverage until about an hour before dancing ended. From the very beginning, Elli was incredibly organized, communicative, and thoughtful. She walked us through exactly what information she needed ahead of time--family groupings, key moments, priorities--which made us feel more prepared going into the day. We also met in person about a week before the wedding to scout the location.
