I loved how natural and beautiful all the photos looked on her website so I decided to give her a call. From the moment I had my initial call with her it was an amazing experience. She made me so excited for my photoshoot and I could really tell that this is her passion. She had me send her some of the inspo I liked which I really appreciated since of course I had some Pinterest photos saved to my phone. She was very flexible with scheduling and gave me a list of things to bring if I had them which was also really helpful. Her studio is amazing and has such good natural lighting and she has perfect simple backdrops I was hoping for. She even has maternity outfits for you to wear if you need them and she will get as creative as you want adding in flowers etc. One of my favorite things about my shoot with Michele is that she would show me some of the photos as I was taking them - that way I knew if my posture looked good or to move hair out of my face etc. Also they looked sooo good unedited it made me even more excited to see the finished product . She sent me the finished photos in only a couple of days and let me tell you! It has taken me days to pick my favorites because I love them all so much! I was completely blown away by her skills and the final results of my photoshoot. I was nervous initially booking the shoot since I've always felt extremely awkward in front of a camera. I tend to freeze up and have always been told to "relax my face" a million times. Whenever someone is about to take a picture, I suddenly realize I have arms and hands and don't know what to do with them! Enter Cindy. Her sweet, warm, friendly energy put me immediately at ease. I had specific edits for her... my hair had flyaways, my clothing had wrinkles, and basic beauty stuff. She executed every request I had. I sent her multiple photos back and forth about three times and she always got the edited photos back to me within 24 hours! What a pro!!! As a professional makeup artist (and actor) I have to say her beauty photoshop editing is OUTSTANDING! Her work could be in any magazine or movie poster. I found out about LJ studios through the moms group on FB. I submitted an inquiry on line and pretty much did all communications via emails. Since there is some uncertainty to dates, Laura did a great job of keeping in contact to lock down a day after delivery. Day of, we showed up on time to her studio, which is in a house in the Lindberg park area if you are familiar with Culver City. So lots of parking all over in residential area. She gave us some options for color schemes and looks and whisked the baby away for her shoot. Then before you know if, it's done! She is really good with communicating ETAs and sending previews. We did a view thru zoom to pick photos and i think it was less than two weeks later they were edited and in my inbox! The photos all turned out beautifully.

Worst experience with this photographer. She was slow to communicate and had lots of excuses why it…read moretook several weeks to respond. When I asked what her prices was, she told me $250. Nothing about the actual pictures costing extra until AFTER the photo shoot was already done... "Oh, I'll send you a pricing sheet later." Never received it. Got proofs back after two weeks, chose the ones we want, THEN she tells us they're essentially $100 each photo, minimum of 3 photos in the cheapest package. WHAT?? So between the lack of communication, the money we lost to the sitting fee, the amount of time I spent driving to her location (2hrs each way), time and money spent on outfits and the cake, we could not justify spending another $300 for only 3 pictures. We decided it would be time and money better spent to just redo the shoot with another photographer and call it a loss. I'm beyond angry. I booked with her despite hearing stories from mutual friends about their bad experiences and her lack of professionalism. Don't trust other reviews here, most are her friends and family.
