Wasn't sure if the man who worked there just had a terrible personality, and is usually rude, unwelcoming , unfriendly or was it because of my what I looked like. There was an item on the wall that caught my interest, remove it off the wall as it was for sale, but I wanted to inspect it further. As I removed the item, the piece that held it on the wall fell, not the item it self but a piece of wire. He comes over and with a very rude tone tells me, not to take anything down if I don't have too, " it's the reason I took it down to begin with" as I couldn't tell what it was. I told him there was no sign indicating not to remove anything off the wall, and he responds by telling me there's signs in other places and he can't put them everywhere. Very distasteful and regret spending my money there. I usually like to match people's energy but at the time felt like he wasn't worth my energy. A better approach: Hi ma'am, can I help you with that, we unfortunately recommend not taking things off the wall, instead ask for assistance and I'll be glad to help. ​ Work on your attitude sir, and if it was because of what I looked like. Then that even more terrible. I will also be telling my family members not to ever shop there again!

There were a lot of items which were stained and broken but they still have the audacity to charge actual money for it. One of the men who works there made me never want to buy anything in that place ever again. I found an old trinket which was quite overpriced for what it was and I asked for a couple of dollars less. The amount of rudeness I got back I didn't expect! It's not like people are buying this junk left and right. It just sits there for years and years! My offer was not at all unreasonable. But one of the men who works there makes the antique shopping experience so unpleasant that I'm done shopping there. It's just entertaining to walk around and I come in mainly for the nice cafe in the back... If you want great antiques at fair prices, this is definitely not the place to buy!

Located in the working class…read moresection of Staten Island's North Shore known as Stapleton - 638 Bay Street, very near the Stapleton Station train stop and not far from the Ferry - the price range is "From two dollars and up," according to the manager. They have great hours too - well suited for working people. Closed on Tuesdays, they are open 11 am to 8 pm on weekdays and from 11 to 6 on weekends. The staff is very friendly and welcoming and the items for sale are just terrific. If you want a true antique that is unique and in great shape you may pay a couple of hundred dollars but not thousands. This is not a thrift store and yet it is affordable. What caught my eye were the two very large animals in the window display. Prior to the store opening I shot a photo of the window display, focusing on one of the creatures - this image was a very popular item on flickr. My photo wound up in the "In Explore" group which is a highly sought after honour. I generally get from 200-300 hits on an image and 8-10 favourites - the window display from Love Your Furniture got over 5400 hits and 67 faves. What was the item? A large, pink, jewel encrusted, bird or mammal of some sort. When the store opened I ventured in to see what the creature was - it, and the jewel encrusted golden giraffe that graces the other side of the window display, was apparently part of a carousel at one time. This truly unique item and many more diminutive but equally interesting items await the visitor at this gem of a store. In addition to antiques the store features handmade items by Yana, one of the owners - one such item is a gorgeous decoupage end table. If you are on the Island to check out our great street art - and Stapleton is the epicenter of this activity - stop by Love Your Furniture Again Antiques. The servers were very kind and took pictures to let their boss know, and gave me an apple fritter instead. I guess third times the charm, because that was very tasty. We stayed at our table for a while, and it got very busy. Some of my friends waited a long time for their food to be ready, but everything did taste good. I'll probably go back and hopefully have a better experience with ordering my food, because I really did enjoy the energy and everything I tried.

There is a good selection of vintage clothes, matchboxes, buttons, loose silverware, audobon prints, colored glass, vintage post cards (some written on) and old playboys to name a few things. There is limited furniture for sale but a few things like lamps at a good price.
