Being from a place where everything is at sky rocket prices, I found this place quite reasonable. Quality of the furniture is pretty good even though it's not super expensive. Waste space n it's full of all sorts of furniture. Labelling of categories is missing but u can find things. There is some linen n home decor pieces for sale too. Wine racks n vintage dressers were also a highlight. They still use old computers so checkout could be a long wait at the counter. Another drawback is either pick up ur furniture or they deliver on fixed days of the week. Extra charge for delivery depends on how much worth stuff u buy. I wish I lived there then I would be able to furnish my 1 bedroom in $1200 max with all the necessities. read more

They really have a huge selection of furniture, especially sofas. Most of the warehouse is full of couches arranged around coffee tables... which can make it a little hard to find the coffee table you're looking for, but makes for a fun shopping experience, like you're wandering through a million living rooms. They do also have dining table sets, beds, dressers, nightstands, desks, office chairs, bars, sideboards, buffets, rugs, outdoor seating, etc. The quality ranges wildly, as do the prices and the value as well (i.e. we found a dining table set and an office chair, both decent but not great quality, for the same price). It's not a great place to go if you have something particular in mind, or if you have a super specific style. Most of the things here are fairly traditional in style, but you might find a few quirkier or more modern things if you poke around. We didn't end up buying anything when we went so I can't speak to the purchasing & delivery issues others have reported, but I wouldn't be surprised if this was true; they do seem pretty disorganized. (For instance, we were in the store for a half hour or 45 minutes and as we were walking toward the exit a salesperson came up and welcomed us to the store and asked if he could help us in any way!) At the very least, it's a pretty fun place to look around for awhile... you might find something you weren't even looking for! read more

I bought a sofa and a single chair for a very good deal, but when an arm for a chair was missing, the customer service representative (she's Hispanic, I didn't get her name) made me drive all the way back to my home to tell her whether it was the left or the right arm. When I go back to tell her they're both the same and there is no left or right arm specifically, she wasn't listening. Even when she called the warehouse to provide the arm that was missing, and I went to get it from them, the warehouse staff even told me that both arms are the same and there was no need to specify whether it is "left" or "right". I was very disappointed in her lack of knowledge (apparently she's been there a long time and isn't a new employee) and her poor customer service. I messaged them on their website and I got nothing. She made me make a long drive for nothing because she didn't know what she was talking about, and their website for contacting them is vacant. Plus when you call you rarely get anyone. They have a ton of stuff in this store...so much you just want to buy it all lol but who has room for ten coffee tables lol or the sexy white race car dining room set...uh yea unusual yet cool! Girlfriend's experience and review below: There were no issues with the initial order and purchase in store. I was satisfied with what I picked out along with the price. The issues came when we went to go pick up my order a few days later. When I initially purchased my dining room set, I was given a receipt and an invoice by the cashier who told me that would be all I needed on the day I would be picking up my items. However, when I arrived to pick up my dining room set, I was told that I was given incorrect information and I would need to take my receipt and invoice back to the cashier and get a pick up slip. Minor inconvenience, but not a big deal. When I came back with the pick up slip, that's when problems started to mount. I had already witnessed a woman in front of me who was told that her items were in a different location and she had to trek over there to get her stuff. Not only that, other customers that had been waiting for items had left because their items weren't able to be located. During my turn, it came to be that my dining room table had supposedly been given to another customer that morning inadvertently, either due to carelessness or negligence in checking what items were earmarked for specific customers. And of course, the table was not in stock at their other warehouse and the only one available was the one on the showroom floor. However, the 6 chairs that came with the set were available. So the options given to me were that I could take the dining room table on the showroom floor for a 5% discount upon my inspection or get a refund. Not wanting to have wasted my time in driving here to pick up the items I ordered, I went to go look at the floor model. Unfortunately, that table had visible scratches, dents, cracks, etc. I opted out of the entire purchase entirely. Thankfully, the manager gave me a refund fairly quickly for the whole dining room set and apologized for the situation. He did try to offer me free delivery on another purchase but I wasn't interested in that. However, the manager himself seemed incredulous about the fact that my table was given away to another customer. I simply told him that was what the guy in the customer pick up desk told me, so I only know what I was told and nothing more. Also, the customer pick up section needs an overhaul. It was fairly oppressive due to the heat and humidity and lack of air conditioning or even fans for waiting customers. It was a very unwelcoming experience for the others who were with me and had to wait there while I initially had to walk back to the store to get my pick up slip. It was a poor experience and also a pretty terrible first impression for the others that came with me to pick up my furniture. I will not be purchasing anything again from this store. read more

By far the worst experience in customer service i have ever seen. We made a purchase and once we paid we were told where to drive to in order to pick up. We went in, handed out papers to the clerk and waited. We along with 2 other disgruntled customers waited 45 minutes while they pulled the item. One customer left to go back to the office as his item had been sold by mistake. I wad told the one item they had was damaged. They offered me another damaged floor model for 10% off. I passed. I was told to go back inside for a refund where I waited another 20 minutes for the one employee at the service desk to help me. I explained I wanted a refund and was sent to the managers desk to wait yet again. Poorly run, incompetent staff, and unorganized. Never ever again read more

We recently bought two end tables, a coffee table and a desk for the office. We understand it is a discount store and that is fine. You have to haul everything yourself and that would not work for us. So, they offered alternative delivery. The price for delievery was $65.00. We decided to purchase the furniture and set up delievery. When they arrived they brought up the items to the second floor (we live on the 4th floor) and proceeded to tell my pregnant wife that their job was done. They insisted on telling her that they only deliver up to one flight of stairs and that it was our responsiblity. If we did not like that answer we have three options: 1) to do the rest ourselves; 2) to reschedule delivery for a later date when I'm available or could move the furniture ourselves (which would cost an additional $30.00 for re-delievery); 3) or to pay them an additional $75.00 cash. She told them that she didn't have cash and they told her to go to the ATM machine. She said she is pregnant, currently is watching her 6 month old and does not have a vehicle since the husband is working. They said they would take a check but she would have to add on an additional $10.00. I know my issue lies mostly with this magical "third party vendor". A vendor that we've had no contact with.. ever. However, we weren't going to buy this furniure because we didn't have a truck to move it and we didn't want to move it up 4 flights of stairs. However, the sales person used this delivery service as a sales technique. The delievery driver said it was in our agreement. I did not find anywhere in my paperwork that told us of additional fees and the salesperson knew we lived on the 4th floor. The fees were based upon the price of our merchandise. Unclaimed Frieght engages in shady business practices and associates themselves with shady delievery drivers.companies. If you want to pick up the merchandise yourself... I would say you might be fine. Don't rely on the store being upfront about the delievery service. If they are shady about this practice; it makes you think what else are they not upfront about. I went to Unclaimed Freight recently for some living room furniture and ended up getting a complete living room set. I nearly ruled them out after reading all the negative reviews here and yet my experience was completely the opposite of what I had read. Their prices were great (lowest around by far from what I could find) and the selection was huge. Some items I took home with me when I purchased the set and the majority of the rest were delivered 2 days later. One item wasn't in stock but was delivered to the store where I picked it up 2 days after that. The staff, including sales people, cashiers and warehouse workers, were all very friendly and helpful. The delivery people were on time, set everything up for me and cleaned up the packing materials. All in all I was extremely pleased with my purchase experience and will look there first when it's time to buy dining room furniture. read more

Not the best furniture made but if you are on a budget - a small budget, this store is the way to go. The prices are not high and if you look hard enough you may be able to find a decent quality item - in the rough! Would I recommend them? Yes. Folks just starting out, don't have to have fancy but want something nice should go here. Delivery is kind of high. Customer service is not great either... Horrible. If I could give no stars I would. My parents bought a couch on a Saturday, paid for it and scheduled delivery date and time. Got a phone call on Monday that they sold the couch Sunday because their employees can't put the proper information in the computer and don't put purchased products in a different room so customers can't rip the sold sign off. I called to talk to a manager and there was none on duty, so I talked to an associate, he was more apologetic than the actual manager however, he had put in the computer that they would only compensate 100 dollars OVER the price of the couch. My parents went today to look for another couch, the couch they wanted was 150 dollars OVER the original price of the couch they originally purchased (or so they thought but their money was taken) the manager on duty would NOT accommodate them the extra 50 dollars towards the couch for their screw up. Also the sales man they had today found their information in the computer, so how was the couch sold from under them? Now, the manager when I called, told me it was OUR responsibility to pay the extra 50 because they would only accommodate the 100. How is that OUR responsibility? We bought they couch, they sold OUR property and my parents put the couch out t0 the garbage so they could get their new one, Easter is Sunday and we are without a couch. I don't understand how it's okay for unclaimed freight to sell our property and then tell us WE are responsible to pay the extra 50. I do NOT recommend this place, at all. Do yourself the favor and spend the extra money and go somewhere else. If my family could of afforded the extra 50 or more we would of went somewhere else to begin with. Low prices, but you can find that anywhere. I prefer American Signature Furniture & now I know why. Made the mistake of buying 2 sets of beds, 1 queen & 1 full. I opted for delivery service & was told it would be $85. I am not pleased with the fact that the salesman did not properly inform me that there would be an additional $25 fee if there was a 2nd flight of stairs. Who doesn't have 2 sets of stairs nowadays?? Also, delivery does not include set up. WHAT??!! I have never heard of that in my life. What on earth did I just pay you $110 for?? The man who rang me up must have forgotten to give me to the paper with that information with the delivery info on it, bc I did not have it & it was not attached to my receipt. I had to go into the store to get information on the delivery company bc the day before, the delivery guy hung up on me when I asked him if I could have a later delivery. The delivery men were unprofessional on Sat, yelling at us to find the contract. Bottom line, you get what you pay for. Sometimes it's better to spend a little more to be treated with respect. If you really need to buy something from here, then DO NOT use their delivery service. Try to find someone with a truck or rent a Uhaul. read more

Will never shop here again. the cashiers apparently take people they know first, the line didn't seem to matter. Don't make the mistake of waiting in line for pick-up either, just pull in even though the letters on the sign are about 12" tall saying to wait in line for pick-up. Also don't wait in the line for them to tell you, you have to go in the store for a pick-up slip even know you paid in full the night before (that slip they give you only shows that you paid not for pick-up .You would think that would be enough until you are struggling when you are loading and two guys stand there watching you until you ask if maybe they could help you. I ordered a sofa with a chase from unclaimed freight last Monday. I called that Friday and was told the sofa would be there by 430 and would be ready for pick up that night. My boyfriend called and they had no knowledge of him being on my work order while we had someone waiting at unclaimed freight for 45 minutes with a truck. My boyfriend continued to call all Friday night and NOONE even know that we were picking the sofa up and that it has yet to arrive. Saturday morning I called and spoke to a manager; all he could say was he is sorry and that he assures me that my sofa is there and ready for pick up. I went to work all day just to come home late at night to find half a sofa in my living room! Apparently there was a problem and only HALF my sofa was at the store. And again my boyfriend waited an hour at the store to pick up half the sofa where still no one knew he was on my order. I was already extremely disappointed with their poor customer service so I went to the store Sunday morning to speak to a manager in person. I was told there was a discrepancy and that the sofa would be arriving either Tuesday or Wednesday. I told the store manager that this was the worst experience I've ever had. How can someone tell me my merchandise will be there a certain day and it wasn't, then I'm given half a sofa? This place is unreliable and a bunch of liars! I was so heated! So the manager tells me they can deliver the rest of the sofa for me, he said delivery would be on the weekend. Why would I want to wait even longer to receive the rest of my sofa? I already had to cancel having our housewarming party, food already made, people coming out of town, because there is nowhere for anyone to sit and I literally have half sofa. Unclaimed freight is the most disorganized company I have ever worked with. I was told by so many people how great of a store it was. I must admit the sofa is very nice looking in the store but I wouldn't know how it truly is since I have yet to receive the other half. Possibly the worst business of any kind I have ever walked into in my entire life. I walked into the place wanting furniture in the middle of September. I had to wait 30 minutes to find someone to help me. Picked out what I wanted and was handed a business card and told to call in a week and see if its in. Call a week later, and my order is not even in the system. Apparently if you don't put money down of something, your order never gets put in the system (apparently I'm supposed to know this). So I had to go back a second time and put $150 down on my sofa and love-seat combo and was told again it would be in by the end of September. I call 10/1 and they tell me it is delayed until 10/7. I call 10/7 and it's delayed until 10/10. I call 10/10, and they tell me it has been delayed until 10/24 and they can't guarantee it will be in. In the meantime, I find new furniture and just went to cancel my order and get my money back today on 10/14. I wait in the cashier line for 10 minutes to be told I have to speak to a manager. Not "Let me buzz him for you", just basically "go find him". After 5 minutes of walking around the store, I find the manager who tells me to walk to another desk and wait for him. Five minutes later, she shows up obviously disgruntled he has to actually DO SOMETHING. I explained the situation, and he starts mocking me! I couldn't believe it! I was looking for the PUNK'D or hidden camera video recorders to pop out. He mocked that I didn't know you had to put money down to put an order in the system, and he mocked me for thinking my furniture should be in by now. Then he tells me it is in stock and I can pick it up today. I called him out and asked why I didn't receive a phone call then and if so take me back and show me its in the warehouse. He completely changed the topic (why he would want to tell me its in stock when it wasn't is beyond me) and then told me its a $35 cancellation fee for "restocking". I asked him why I should pay to restock something that was never put in stock. He then changed the subject and signed the invoice and told me with attitude to go back to the cashier. After 15 more minutes of waiting, I finally received the $150 back on my credit card and left that place wondering how you run a business like that. The absolute WORST customer service on planet earth. Do not go here expecting anything but horrendous service, 1980's retail technology, and a dirty showroom. I tried to save myself a couple hundred bucks, but I'll happily pay more elsewhere to stay away from this abomination of a "business". read more
