Really disappointed! Me and my partner made arrangements to have Uncle Johns come over and look to get a quote on a full bathroom remodel. They showed up as scheduled and we agreed to pull the trigger and he said to just email him some more details on finishes and he would get mack to us in a couple days. So we emailed that night. We were patient but after a month of nothing we emailed and waited. And then I called and we emailed and we called and emailed and called and emailed again! Left God knows how many messages! Finally, a handyman service that keeps their word, follows through, is reasonably priced, and does great work. Attention all other repair services, there is no secret to having a successful business, you shouldn't have to spend thousands advertising, just do the right thing and the customers will come and come back. If it we're possible to give fewer satrs I would! This guy is a joke! It took over 2 weeks to get them to answer the phone! Actually we never did get him to answer the phone the home warranty people we go through are forcing us to use him. We called them and chewed them out so they called him and had him call us. We bought our house 3 months ago and haven't had an oven since week 2 of being here bexbeca ''Uncle John" is dragging his ass! This entire time we've been waiting for our oven to get fixed we've been waiting on him to return a phone call to tell the warranty people how much it's gonna cost to change the computer part of the oven! This is the worst way to conduct business! We still don't have an oven. We had him out once to look at the oven a few weeks ago. He charged 75$ to rub alcohol on a heat sensor. it stopped the error code for 20 minutes. As soon as the man walked out of our house it was beeping again. Tried calling back... No answer. If I didn't have to deal with this worthless business I wouldn't. I'd go to a reputable competent establishment and have had this issue resolved weeks ago! read more

I rarely leave reviews, but I had to on this one. Called to get quote on moving permanent basketball goal and was eager to help. No show for two days and no response for two days. Gave excuse he thought utilites were too close to dig near. 3 ft... Other companies will help I would reccomend staying away unless poor service and communication are your thing. read more

We needed a licensed pro ( lease requirement ) to remove the old and install a new counter top. Uncle John gave us an estimate of $325.00 for the job. DO NOT RECOMMEND FOR MOVING CRATING! HE'S INCOMPETENT! He was hired by a corporate moving company to crate up large mirrors and military memorabilia items. Also was to prepare our washer and dryer for transport. We were told by our moving company that he was to be there on day 1, and give us notice when he would be arriving. He didn't show up on 1st day as was expected. He finally contacted us very late that day to say he'd be over "in a bit". By the time it was 6 pm, we called and told him to just come the next day, it was too late for us by this point. He then told us he'd be there first thing in the morning. Never showed as he told us, we called him several times, no answer, left messages for him that movers were going to finish up and we needed him here ASAP. Called moving coordinator to get action. No response from him! He called us at 10:30, saying he was "on his way right now". By 12:30, still not there. Finally showed at 1:10, with no apology, no excuses for his potentially destroying our movers leaving schedule. Then he estimated the times to crate each item at "20-30 minutes", but each item took almost 40 minutes. He was very rough with our treasured military memorabilia, actually damaging one item by lifting from the top. He also actually laid the large military shadowbox ON THE GROUND as he was cutting the crate boards. In preparing the washer and dryer, he put packing tape over all the knobs and buttons, no padding! It left sticky residue all over the appliances, and provided absolutely no protection. He didn't even drain the washing machine! After uncrating at destination, both military displays were broken and had pieces missing. What an idiot! He might be a handyman, but he's no mover crating specialist at all!! We had Uncle John's Handyman Service come to our home to possibly do a bathroom remodel. They told us that they would email a quote in a couple of days. It's been over a month and we never heard another word from them. I guess they have all the business they want and don't have to get back with potential customers or take new jobs. It's really annoying to have a business to tell you that they'll contact you and never hear from them again. read more
