Excellent selection at fair prices. Staff was very helpful and went above and beyond to try to help me find the correct items.

Very disappointed in the service provided and the lack of empathy for the heartbreak they caused at Christmas time. I called and spoke with multiple people about ordering a firearm for my 11 year old for Christmas. This WAS NOT a last minute order. I spoke with the gun counter on Dec 13, it was confirmed that they had the item in stock at their Lexington KY location (Bud's) and that it would take 3-5 days to arrive and would be no problem getting it by Christmas if ordered by the 17th. I told them I would call them back the next day (Dec 14) and order, which I did. The firearm should have showed up Dec 20 (5 days later), again plenty of time before Christmas. I dont hear anything from them so I call Sat the 21st and was told I would get a call back from the gun counter, I did not. I called Sunday the 22nd and was told again I would get a call back from the gun counter, They finally called 30 mins before closing Sunday evening from a private number. I did not answer because I get a lot of spam, this is partially on me. I call them first thing Monday morning Dec 23rd and finally talk to someone and was told that it was never ordered and they would not be able to get one in time for Christmas. I'm FURIOUS.... My 11yr old was mainly getting a shotgun along with a few small items and now I have nothing to put under the tree for Christmas. SO PISSED... So what was their response. To say it is a great local gun shop would be a complete understatement. Even though they are a Buds affiliate, I still consider them local. If they don't have it, they can order it. They have great Staff that are knowledge and willing to help you. They offer the blue label program to law enforcement, and usually have what you need in stock. A really good all around gun shop, and a even better local one. read more

This store has your outdoor items for hunting and fishing. They had a huge selection of new and used guns, ammunition. And related items. Clothing items for men and women looked mostly like T-shirts jeans and outdoor wear. There were some stuffed animals on display. Did not purchase but enjoyed looking around. read more

Uncle Lee's has the best prices on guns period. You won't find any cheaper. Nice selection for the wife and kids to look at as well. I'm going there tommorow to buy another gun from them. No Cabelas pricing here read more

Decent sporting goods store for the area. Although sign still says Uncle Lees it's now owned by Buds. They have a decent firearms selection but pricing is hit or miss and that's about it. read more

Called and said the gun department is to busy to help and store hours are 9 to 7 weekdays and 9 to 6 on weekends and they haven't changed they're online stats us of this and let me drive 100 miles to get told no I can't come in one minute after 6. They will never get my business again and I hope nobody else goes to this incompetent company read more

I decided to stop by the store today to possibly purchase a new rifle., and to hqve gunsmith work perform on my CCW. Online shows that the one I wanted was in stock in Greenville, so I scheduled a trip there today. After driving 30 miles, I went into the store with an absolutely rude greeting from 2 cashiers. The first question I was asked is "where's your mask?" My answer was that I cqnnot wear a mask while in possession of a ccw. This is a gun store for petes sakes! They know this rule from the ATF. NO FACE COVERING WHILE IN POSSESSION OF A FIREARM! CLASS D FELONY. The cashiers proceeded to redirect me to the front door after denying access. I explained to them that I cannot wear a mask for both medical and federal reasons. One of the "ladies" told me to show my medical card while the other asked for my ccw. 2 things.....that is illegal because th3y are not my physician nor an agent of the ATF. I'VE ALWAYS disliked this store because the service is absolutely pathetic and rude but today was a new low. I purchased from another dealer today in Owensboro. That total from Whittakers was over $3800, plus they had ammo and gunsmithing services today, and that service was absolutely perfect. I went to Uncle Lee's to purchase a firearm. It took me almost an hour to talk to anyone because the staff was busy yukking it up with gun browsers. I was completely ignored the entire time I was there and even went out to get a burger and came back later to see the same people shooting the breeze. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Only reason I stuck around was to purchase a gun that I could not find anywhere else. read more

Noticed online that they had the gun i wanted so i called to see if it was ACTUALLY in stock as i was 90 minutes away and did not want to make a wasted trip. I was told they would call me to confirm it was in stock but never got that call UNTIL i actually pulled up in the parking lot! I was greeted by a nice lady cleaning in the restaurant but the person in the gun department kinda ignored me and instead helped someone behind me...lol. During the paperwork process, the salesmen went to get a second gun i bought but got stopped on his way back to answer another customers questions who was already being helped! Overall the price i payed for my two guns were the best prices i found. I wish they would implement a number system to help customers on a first come first served basis, it would help with keeping things in order. I will definitely go back for more guns and ammo in spite of the current process! read more
