It's not Amazon warehouse big but it's definitely very spacious with two levels. The way that they have glass floors on the second level almost reminds me of the huge library located near Buenavista. There is also a café that offers customers WiFi with purchase. There are also plenty of tables, chairs, and comfortable sofas for customers to sit and read. I found a book that was interesting alled El Cerebro Del Futuro and I'm going to give it a try. Spanish is not native to me and I hope that this book will help me with my Spanish learning journey. There were some also great books about Spain and Portugal that piqued my interest as well. John Sistiaga's Purgatorial was a toned down brief version of the actual novel. They got booked stacked all the way to the ten foot ceiling and they even offer a ten foot step ladder for those who would be dating enough to try to use it. All of their collections are used, and they do a good job categorizing and sorting everything out for the viewing public. The only downside to this bookstore is the lack of seating. I noticed a sing chair. That being said, it's not the type of bookstore where you would want to hang out.

Not every bookstore can offer lake views while you sit and enjoy a coffee. That's definitely the highlight of this Librería Porrúa. However, the bookstore didn't seem that well taken care of or well stocked. The books seemed older, and I was surprised that they had so few books in English since other bookstores in Mexico City typically have a pretty good selection. The bookstore seemed more of a cafe with a small bookstore, rather than the other way around. But there's lots of seating and those views are incredible. I do think there are better bookstores in Mexico City, however! Stop by if you're in the area, but I wouldn't recommend going out of your way!
