All the norms - furniture, art, dinnerware and serving pieces, glasses, clothing, books, jewelry, collectibles - it's all there! What interests me the most is that there are still lots of buyers for these pieces. I say that because many Of my friends, and myself, held on to lots of my mother and grandmothers treasures but when downsizing, the next generation had no interest. Many of us donated to Goodwill and the Salvation Army and I see so many similar pieces in this store and other antique shops. While not my taste - I prefer mid-century mod - I still appreciate the beauty and marvel over many of the inventive items of the day. The furniture is so detailed, the chests and cabinets with lots of compartments and drawers, all so beautiful. The serving pieces and bar ware always captures my attention and Main Street Mercantile had lots! This place is really cool as yes... it is highly vintage oriented merchandise but we noticed more artsy and crafty items that were for sale too that were amazingly cool. So that added a further unique spin to this place. Also there was a plant vendor too that sold lots of different kind of little cactuses in various colored shades which further enhanced this place. I saw things of a vintage nature I liked... which were mainly old action figures... that was a lot of fun to browse through checking out all of those!
