We actually stayed at the hotel that runs this restaurant (25 Hours Langstrasse). I was concerned…read moreabout eating at the hotel, but they quickly won us over. It's a fairly trendy spot, and it was packed on Friday night. Still the service was timely, the food was great, and the atmosphere lively. I had the "Hamshuka" which is minced beef and lamb, surrounded with hummus and a spicy sauce that gave it some kick. Excellent. If you're in this neighborhood, give Neni a shot, you won't regret it.

Wow good lord this food is fantastic…read more My friend Sahil and I came here on a weekday and were seated at the bar without a wait. We were lucky- the place was packed! It was really fun sitting at the bar- you could watch all the cooks do their thing and we were highly entertained. Sahil ordered the Sabich and I order a hummus trio with a side of falafel. It was more than enough food. The Sabich looked beautiful and whatever magic they did to the aubergine was fantaaaaastic. They were crunchy and wonderful. The falafel were also beautifully done and came with a side of wonderful sauce that I can't remember the name of now. I was also really impressed with the hummus trio. All three were very different and large portions. I kept picking a new favourite, it was hard to choose. We got beet, mango, and I think the regular. Fantastic flavours, really great waitstaff, and a freaking amazing experience overall. I'll be back!

Yelp Review 2026 #64:…read more I'm not vegetarian and definitely not vegan. But I will dabble with the veg from time to time. Hiltl is popular for being the world's oldest vegetarian restaurant in the world. Here's information I will share that I wish was available before planning to come here. You must make a reservation for lunch/ dinner because that's when they're busy. Breakfast is for walk-ins and they don't do reservations. Hop on their website and be sure you're on the right location because they have several within a 2-mile radius...some on the same street. I went here to try their breakfast buffet. I wasn't sure how busy they got for breakfast so, I got here at 6:30am because I got the wrong information online! They open at 7am. Different locations have different hours. Check their website for actual hours and don't trust review site information because it's wrong! They're not busy for breakfast at all. There's 2 ways to do their buffet. You can pay a fixed price and fill your plate multiple times or go and fill your plate once and pay based on the weight of your food - you get free bread. I did the pay-by-weight option. I have a whole day of eating planned so, I wasn't about to fill up for breakfast. When they opened at 7am, they were still putting the food out one by one. By 7:20, all the food was out which was fine. I was in no rush. The spread includes fresh fruits, cheeses, butter, margarine, cheesecake, chocolate mousse, mango mousse, mango chia pudding, banana chocolate brownie crumble, a pear dessert (with cream, vanilla and orange), rosti, scrambled eggs, potato salad, tomato and mozzarella salad, beets, chickpeas, olives, couscous, corn salad, olives, asparagus, green peas, feta cheese, hardboiled eggs, curry salad, dolmades, broccoli and edamame, artichoke salad, bulgur salad, tabbouleh, orecchiette tofu salad, Thai salad, hummus, guacamole, muhammara, etc. They have 6 types of bread. Slice a piece and toast it yourself. Vegan and vegetarian food tend to taste strongly of coconut/ coconut milk and I don't like that. My favorites from the buffet include chocolate mousse, mango mousse, banana chocolate brownie crumble, dolmades, asparagus, orecchiette tofu salad, and Thai salad. I got a mango lassi to drink which I didn't like. It had curry powder. Service was pleasant. The restaurant was clean.

Oh my god- this place is the savior of food in Switzerland. I'm sorry but Switzerland may be known…read morefor their amazing chocolate but food is definitely not their specialty, unless you're into bland food and smelly (albeit tasty, sometimes) cheese. Cèdre-Bellevue serves Lebanese food and I can tell that the owners are from Lebanon which is indeed comforting. Absolutely everything was delicious- a rare occasion indeed especially in Zurich, but truly nothing missed the mark. My personal favorite was the arayes- the lemon potatoes inside were amazing and I haven't had arayes with this before. All in all, if you're in Switzerland despite this not being Swiss food, do yourself a favor and try it. It's some of the best Lebanese food I've had and I live in NYC haha.

The restaurant is centrally located, just next to the Limmat river a few steps from Bellevue. I've had both the Mezze menu and the a la carte options and I must say the food quality is good, the price is right for what you get. But I cannot get over the really non-existent service. I think they are convinced that due to the prime location it's not necessary to be friendly and prompt? A good example was that when ordering another round of drinks, we had to wait 30 mins (no special orders) while some of the staff was just standing around the bar. In addition, it doesn't feel like you are welcome, they seem to be annoyed by all the guests. I've been to Cedre at their Badenerstrasse location which is much better service wise but in summer they have limited outdoor seating capacity. If you are ok with soso service and decent food at a prime location, do go to Le Cedre Bellevue. Else, I'll prefer to take my business somewhere else, their sister restaurant for example!
