I own my own home salon and run a freelance Beauty business - mostly with makeup. I know how important it is for businesses in this industry to keep customers satisfied and provide all clients with friendly manners and great customer service. I received none of this when I walked into the uni "salon" this morning before my tutorial to book in my hair early! (As soon as they opened)
As soon as I walked in, no one said hello.. I went to the counter to see the price menu and the woman behind the counter, eating and chewing with her mouth open asked what I was there for.. (Begged the question, was this even a salon?)
I asked to be booked in for a very simple procedure at 12 - just to have my hair washed and finished with ghd waves.
When I saw her pencil it in, I was the first person in the bookings for today and was looking forward to it.
When I arrived, I was greeted with the same indecency as when I first walked in. I was early, and said I was there for my appointment. They explained (as if they didn't even care) that other appointments ran late and asked if I could move my appointment back a whole hour...
I said this was my only break.. And straight afterwards my name was being rubbed out of the book with a very insincere "...sorry bout that".
I work alone, I have plenty of clients to keep happy and I always provide them with great customer service and a friendly manner and they always leave feeling fantastic. I do this, study full time and work full time with little social interaction/activities... So I am tremendously disappointed that I received such disgraceful service today. I think you may need to re-assess your staff members. read more
