Terrible Kiki Hair Extensions Fortitude Valley job, took 7.5 hours for extension removal/extension placement - tubes. And a light colour of regrowth. It takes 2 hours when done in Europe or any other professional place for the above. During the terrible Kiki Hair Extensions 'work' hair was also pulled out painfully by the Kiki Hair Extensions hairdresser lady that basically complained about her life non stop while I was fixed to the chair. Came out crying when I was home, as my hair resembled a 'Zebra' pattern, due to the different colours they had attempted, I was only after 1 single colour. Plus the extensions were all input poorly, and hair began falling out immediately. I of course requested a refund and was denied. Not happy hence creation of this google account. It was a damaging and embarrassing primitive job Kiki Hair Extensions did on my hair. Its been about 6 months and still extremely disappointed. As all I got was my money taken, disgusting service and disgusting job from - Kiki Hair Extensions.

I called this salon to enquire if the could wash, dry, straighten and do a very simple style for my…read moredaughter for her Semi-Formal. I also advised she had very long thick hair. After being advised that they could do this and being assured it would only take 1 hr. I booked in. We arrived on time and were told to take a seat. I advised that we had a makeup appointment in 90 minutes. We were left waiting just over 10 mins. We were finally taken to the chair and asked what we wanted done. We were then told that for a style dirty is better! Maybe so but this 'style ' was simply 2 pieces of hair pulled around the back & held with a tie!! We were then asked if we had been quoted over the phone. We hadn't been! After walking away and chatting to someone else I was told $120 to straighten her hair!! Really..she had to consult for that! When I expressed my surprise...she said it was because of the length. This hair professional ( I use the term losely) then walked away twice more to quote other people. We didn't get what we asked for! When reminded of our timeframe she accused us of being late! I sat and watched as they told people to take a seat they'd be 5 mins...20 minutes later...they were still there. I would never go back to this salon and I certainly wouldn't recommend it to anyone. We were charged exorbitant prices for sub quality service

But at Aria, which I found out about through a friend's recommendation, I decided to give it a shot. This Japanese hair salon is in the CBD and keeps their clients happy and their hairdressers relatively busy. I've now been there twice: each visit with a different hairdresser and have come out a happy camper. The second time around, I knew I could just pick up one of the magazines and point at it and let the stylist know what I was looking for. Taka, who is a manager stylist and unfortunately has moved up to Brisbane, takes great care when snipping away. You're definitely safer off with a manager stylist, which is worth the extra cost as the prices there are rather wallet-friendly. Customer service there is fantastic! It probably has a lot to do with the (Japanese) culture but from the point of entering ("Konichiwa!!") until when they see you off at the door, they're there mindfully doing their job well. Also, they've got promos like "happy hour" where it's 20% off M-F before noon and others that are released through their newsletters, as well as others like friend referrals. I highly recommend Aria salon if you're looking to get a good haircut, at great value, and fabulous service!
