We went in on a Saturday night on the off chance there was a free table. The restaurant was obviously busy but they accommodated us. We were shown to our table, presented with menus and our drinks order was taken. We both ordered a Karisik, which has a mixture of chicken, lamb chops, Sis and Adana. When it arrived it looked amazing. It also came with some bread and a side salad which was delicious in itself. The meat was cooked to perfection and every mouthful was amazing. Even the rice was perfectly cooked and delicious. The toilets are small. The ladies toilet is a single disabled toilet and the men's toilet is a single toilet. The toilet was clean, tidy, and had a variety of toiletries to use. The only negative thing I can say is that the waiter didn't come over after our meals were served to check that everything was OK, but the restaurant was full to capacity so we can forgive that. This was the nicest kebab type dish I have ever had and the best restaurant I have been to in a long time. I will definitely be going back.

They called just asking for an update and then were called a liar over the phone that the order had appeared. The owner and delivery driver then drove to my house and verbally assaulted my housemate and then called them a liar saying they had proof of the order when no food had showed up. Housemate asked for proof and then the Delivery driver & Owner both didn't show this "Proof" and drove off leaving my housemate with no food. Very appalling behaviour and the owner should be ashamed of themselves shouting at a young woman who was just wondering where their food was. This lovely traditional Greek restaurant is spacious and clean and the staff are great. The menu is quite varied but solidly Greek and the portion sizes are generous. I've tried quite a lot of the menu, including the early evening offer, and can happily report that the portion sizes remain the same despite the great value offer. On our last visit we had the Mezedes banquet for two which is cracking value at £19.50 per person (minimum two people). Over two and a half hours we enjoyed 18 different small plates of food, culminating with the finale which was a large mixed grill with sauteed potatoes. Although it is usual to enjoy the dips with the other courses as they are brought out, we added a basket of delicious breads for the princely sum of 80p. We washed our food down with a litre carafe of the very enjoyable house red wine which, again, was fantastic value at only £13.50. As this restaurant is usually quite busy (it was fully booked on our last visit) it is always advisable to book ahead to ensure your table. The problem is that both the food and the service tend to be a little too simple for my liking. Sadly this means that many of the dishes I've tried here have lacked any real flavour. The service also tends to be quite slow, despite the fact that I have never seen the place more than half full. One plus note of this is the wine list - it's fairly standard, but they have clearly taken the time to select some wines which are both reasonably inexpensive, but deliver on flavour and clarity. That said, I can't recommend this place overall as really the key driver of a good restaurant is the food - and for me, Zizzi's simply does not deliver when compared against many of Chester's other establishments in a similar price bracket.
