It was 5:30am and I was starving, but most places were closed, so went here to get a couple sausage kolaches, and decided to get a chocolate old fashion donut too. Tried the jalapeño sausage kolache, Apple fritter and frosted dino donut! Overall I enjoyed the donut base, which was light, fluffy and not too sweet. When Unicorn Donuts first opened we were really impressed. Outstanding staff and gorgeous, unique donuts. We were excited to hear they would soon add boba tea to the menu. We normally have to drive further for good boba tea. Sadly, now that they have boba, it's awful. We've given it a few chances and each time has been equally bad. The boba is undercooked and the wrong texture. The flavors are off as well. The Hokkaido tastes like chocolate milk (not what it's supposed to taste like). The shop is so cute with Unicorns placed all over and painted in Unicorn colors. We didn't get donuts, but got a jalapeño sausage roll, spinach & cheese croissant and the "pizza bread." The pizza bread had a unique surprise when you bit into it. There's corn and jalapeño sausage underneath. It was good, but definitely was not expecting that. My kids and I love this cute place. My favorite is the blueberry cream cheese doughnut.

Props to the young man who works the cashier and takes orders. He must deal with frustrating customers all day long. I ordered an iced coffee. The owners were working in the back. He put my order in and also checked on another customer who had already been waiting for 10 minutes for her coffee. The owner was shuffling around not in any hurry. Never made either of the coffee's. I finally had to leave and told the young man I was not happy. He went back and made me different different quick coffee while the owners still did nothing. read more

Came across this shop accidentally on my way to the movies. I noticed that a donut shop was open at 9 pm and decided I wanted to try it. After seeing that it was indeed actually open I saw that they had boba on their menu and was even more shook. I decided that I wanted to try their boba more than an actual donut so I got a Taro milk tea with boba. They only have one size and it was large. I was with a group of 3 and all of us had ordered a drink so it took a little longer for our drinks to come out than we had anticipated. The owners said they were making it from scratch which was their reasoning behind the long wait. To be honest, I wasn't a huge fan of my drink. The boba wasn't that great and my drink wasn't sweet enough. My friends who had ordered a Hokkaido milk tea were not a fam of their drinks either. I would love to come back and try their specialty donuts though! They looked delicious! From what I had gathered, this shop is open in the mornings like normal donut shops with basic donuts. And then in the evenings they have "Unicorn Hours" where they are open after 5pm and actually serve the specialty donuts. read more

We went at night, so can't speak to the morning people. Most of the donuts we bought were better than average. There were a lot of interesting combinations, but I was surprised that the fillings were limited, given the branding. One would expect chocolate and lemon, for example, from a gourmet place. The sausage rolls are much better than most around here, tho not quite as good as a place over by a Kroger. But they may improve over time. read more
